So with the new YouTube rules, I think it will be interesting to see the changes (tho views don’t really mean much imo, maybe if it were per person)
So with this I don’t think it’ll really affect groups at all, just maybe some fans will get mad over their faves not doing the same numbers as before but other than that nothing imo
Pretty much almost every agency had used ads so I was curious which agency didn’t, I could only think of:

SM (As in SM, Mystic and Million market which are distributed by SM)

Is there any other? Bc I know YG, JYP, BH, Stone (and subsidiaries) had

No, Big Hit has never bought ads for their MVs (this has been pointed out in several industry articles discussing YT ad practices). The only ones out there have been bought by fans/fanbases, usually by solo stans fighting over views for their bias' solo works/fancams, and sometimes as birthday celebrations.

You can say that but then why had I myself gotten bh ads such as txt and bts videos?

Well, I don't know what to tell you guys. There's whole ridiculous fights in our fandom from the faction who wish Big Hit would buy ads for BTS because they feel more promo is always better, and others who are glad they don't because they think it feels less authentic. And if they bought them for TXT and not BTS, there would have been a nuclear explosion of fury.

People always claim they don't care about views then go off about views from ads being cheating... I guess this will just stop this fight for all

I think views as a fandom goal is okay, because the fandom unites but to fight over it? I don’t know if it’s just me but why would you watch a video 10000 times a day just because you “have to”? You are a fan not an employee, I watch videos because I want to and because I want to, if I like the video I watch it again and maybe a couple times more in that time, but to obligate myself to watch it? Nope

Whats the new YouTube rule?

“The new changes mean that videos eligible for record debuts must come from organic sources, including “direct links to the video, search results, external sites that embed the video and YouTube features like the homepage, watch next and Trending,” according to the blog post.”

“Video advertising is an effective way to reach specific audiences with a song debut, but paid advertising views on YouTube will no longer be considered when looking at a 24-hour record debut,”
