Jype is somehow stupid, i believe JYPE groups all have decent fandom in US but none of them can chart bb if they didnt have american label to distribute the albums.

I honestly wish Twice had a distributor in the US. Or even easier access to albums that are reflected on the gaon chart. Sales would definitely skyrocket up if American and European Onces had easier access to albums instead of paying such high ass fees to get them.

btw does anyone know how we get info from below the top 50 on oricon? or atleast the actual numbers because I don't know what everyone uses.

Yeah, it's a shame but the real drawback is the Monday release. It's a terrible day for BB charting.

I think it gives us around 3.5 days of data collection from 7, which is pretty terrible. I think if Korean's aren't as hot this year with idol music why bother catering to them with the Monday release when it literally only favors 1 chart, Gaon?

If they had released this song on Friday based on the numbers so far it's almost certain they would have charted on both Hot100 and top 200. Which is a missed opportunity esp considering the charting on Gaon isn't going to be that good.

Well...we hadn't hit the USA Hot 100 but we had at least hit the Canada one eh. First time on the chart too.

The problem is not only that the album is released on monday but JYP being a mess as usual... I can't believe they are so stupid and incompetent to not only not have the album on time but to release it 1 month later, absurd in everything sense, it seems that there is no one with a brain or who cares in division 3.

Also our fandom is still somewhat disorganized but we are improving, they are positive results I think that if we really concentrate and work with that objective in the 6 or 7 months that the next Twice mini album or full album will be released we could achieve it.

Wow chill a bit, if they are as stupid and incompetent and lacking brains as you say Twice will not be where they are today..yes they messed some things up but they have also gotten a lot right. Clearly they are not interested in catering to the west, its not a bad thing.

Division 3 has proven countless times that they are incompetent and not only in this case too. This isn't even about Billboard charts, like not entering billboard doesn't take my sleep away. This is literally common sense, Twice sales would grow if they distributed the albums in the west and generated more money for their company, western fans are paying a lot of money for the album and more for third world countries like me, when we could buy more albums if they distributed on time.

It seems JYPE still negotiate the albums "deal price" with distributor, i see JYPE want high profit less expense, i think there is no company who didnt want their group to have more global presence, They lowkey didnt care about record breaking at all, feel like they want to maximize profit first.

I don't know if i'm just being negative for no reason at all but..i gotta say it is annoying(?) to constantly ONLY seeing TWICE's title tracks chart on Gaon's Weekly chart but never any b-sides :/

Like i think overall they have only had 2 b-sides on the Digital Chart..i get that TWICE are known for their title tracks but it would be nice if knetz also listened a lot to their b-sides to makes them chart as well...not really Gaone exclusive but it's the same for music charts..*sigh* maybe i'm just worrying for nothing.

Nah I'd agree with you - only the titles ever get recognition outside of Twice fans and despite having really good b-sides (especially this this year for me) people will still harp on about the quality of Twice b-sides not being up to scratch with other top girl groups as others can do well outside the fandom.

The thing is though if JYPE ignores the b-sides I don't see how you can expect the GP to not ignore them yet alone chart/get recognised. Thought we'd get b-side performances this promotion cycle, especially as Breakthrough already has choreo but nada.

But the song didn't get much traction with the public, and didn't really hang around on the charts. JYPE probably figured that it wasn't worth promoting b-sides. It costs money for extra staging, the girls have extra prep to bear, and all this without much financial return in all likelihood. YOY and Fancy had super short promotions (YOY-era timetable was crazy packed) , and the girls have Once Halloween 2, Twicelights JP, and Fake & True just around the corner, so personally I'm OK with no b-side promos for now.

Few GG b-sides do well on the charts, unfortunately. The last b-side Twice promoted on music shows was "Say Yes" with DTNA last year. But the song didn't get much traction with the public, and didn't really hang around on the charts. JYPE probably figured that it wasn't worth promoting b-sides. It costs money for extra staging, the girls have extra prep to bear, and all this without much financial return in all likelihood. YOY and Fancy had super short promotions (YOY-era timetable was crazy packed) , and the girls have Once Halloween 2, Twicelights JP, and Fake & True just around the corner, so personally I'm OK with no b-side promos for now.

Meh i highly doubt it's a financial question, if anything it's like you said it's due to the schedule that two stages might be too much but still..you have to promote the b-sides in some way if you want them to get attention in my mind at least. I don't know, like i said, i just wish that their b-sides would do better charting wise but i'm not sure HOW you would make that happen.
