They created a special band for this release which includes Hidaka Toru from the Starbems/Beat Crusaders and Bunta from Totalfat. They should just keep adding members until Team Shachi has 100!!!

The blonde hair must be extensions because they're missing from this shoot which was posted only an hour ago.

Despite the name, the song is arguably less heavy than their recent songs
Although that says more about their most recent releases
The MV is cool, and the chorus is catchy
And no please, not 100 members :ohmygod:

It sold 3262 copies on its first day, debuting in third place on the daily Oricon singles chart.

I've been going back through all the Stardust Planet MVs this year. Some thoughts:

- Takoyaki Rainbow and Hachimitsu Rockets need more releases. It's pitiful how little they've put out this year.
- March was the busiest month for Stardust Planet. It's crazy how many MVs came out.
- Ebichu are the clear winner so far with the most official MVs. Their 10th Anniversary definitely helped. Technically, Momoclo have the most, but the members aren't featured in most of those special MVs that were made to tie in with the release of the 5th album, so I'm not really counting those.
- Momoclo really should have been in the MV for Road Show. It would have been epic.

I don't know who is responsible, but Takoyaki's management sucks. I literally just checked up on them last night to see if they were planning a new release. Their website wasn't updated, and when I searched on YouTube, the new MV didn't even show up. That's out of their control since it's effected by YouTube's mysterious algorithm, but a new video should be close to the top of a search. With the way they're treated, you'd never know they're the 4th group from the top of Stardust Planet's hierarchy.

Sorry for the rant. I like the new version of the song and it's about time they got another MV. I didn't know much about those burial tombs. It's a pretty interesting subject.

Stardust posted an interview with Honoka
It seems to be football-related

Idk if I've posted this or not, but here it is: professional, but not so professional Shiori

Also in other news two celebrities randomly stumbled upon Shiori in the last few days. Iizuka at the metro and a Yoshimoto comedian in an escalator.

Do you have a list of the releases/MVs/where to find them? I'm pretty sure I've missed some, and I know I can't remember them all from the top of my head. I'm considering making a thread to compile all the Stardust Planet releases and/or music videos of the year.

Afaik, Hachimitsu Rockets only have 1 release so far this year, but it might be my favourite from Stardust this year.

Tacoyaki are under AVEX afaik? From what I've heard they have had issues with their idol section, so that might be somewhat related. They're also a local group, which could have an effect on how things are run (but Shachi release a lot...).

I ended up making a thread:

Any tips on how I can improve it are appreciated. Also it seems like awards threads are back again so I'll try to get into that again slowly.

Yeah, Hachi still only have the one single and MV. Last year, they had more, but it was their major debut so management might have wanted to give them more attention.

Takoyaki are indeed under Avex. I don't think the local aspect should effect their releases. Like you pointed out, Shachi get allot. The two groups on Avex that seem to get the most releases are Super Girls and BiSH. The disparity with the rest is noticeable.

I just saw your thread. I made a playlist the other day which should have every video on there. I'll compare it with what you have in your thread.

While making the thread I listened to the songs again and I have some thoughts.
It's quite a stark contrast between HR and Sakura Ebis, who have officially had a lot of releases this year, although they're mostly digital singles. But I would probably take HR's release over SE's, from the ones I've been able to hear atleast. I feel like that was the biggest contrast out of the groups I listened to.

I enjoyed HR's and the Stardust Sisters songs the most. Previously I would've probably put Ebichu's songs slightly behind them but they grew on me, especially Trendy Girl. And I really like the chorus of Crown Pop's Summertime Rule, it fits the season. The verses were a bit grating though.
Tacoyaki's Anata no to yakusoku is a solid release but there's not that much to say about it.

I'm the reverse. I enjoyed SakuEbi's releases more, probably because their sound has changed the most. However, since Hachi haven't released much this year, it's hard to compare.

I think Ebichu's "Music" is a really strong album. As far a consistency, I'd put it slightly above Momoclo's 5th album. Most of the songs managed to stay interesting and they were arranged in a way that strayed from the usual formula. Trendy Girl is a good example of this. It could have been generic and forgettable, but ended up with a really interesting vibe.

I really like the direction Shachi's been going in. They surprise us with every release so we never know what to expect. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's helped their sales that much.

I agree about Takoyaki. Anata no Yakosoku was a strange choice for the lead, and only, single from the new album. There had to be stronger songs that would have made a bigger statement.

Ebichu will, a bit unexpectedly, be performing in Asbendos Theatre in Turkey tomorrow!

It's a 2nd century amphitheatre!

Several SDP groups (Shachi, Tacoyaki, BST, Iginari Tohoku-san) have been confirmed for "ICHIBAN JAPAN" Manga Expo in Taiwan

It's also Kanako's 25th birthday today!

Gucheoki Party released a video of her as a pirate treasure hunter

Reni interview with Idol and Read

Yeah I have to say that Ebichu's releases this year are very cohesive and solid, especially listened to together.

Ebichu announced a new tour this fall!

So far they've announced concerts from the 20th of September (Tokyo) to the 8th of December (Hokkaido)

Here are some clips from their performance in Turkey

They also sang a song in Turkish

Momoclo are apparently learning how to fight with swords for their stage play :ohmygod:

It seems like Iginari Tohoku-san are filming a MV for the single/song "Bubble Poppin".

(interesting dance)

Here's a scene

Momoclo were at EVIL A LIVE

Oh and King Records (I assume?) provided captions for MOON PRIDE!

First of all I had no idea the lyrics for the song were that good. All I understood before was "Shiny make up" and "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" :ohmygod:

But more importantly it seems like they might start doing this for more music videos! I'll take this as another sign that they're putting more effort for foreign fans, after they opened the fanclub for international fans last year.

I don't know yet if it's part of a campaign, but a company is making a series of short twitter dramas with various Japanese Artists/Idols. They're going to be released in 5 parts. Akane Sora will be representing Sakura Ebizu. Her series hasn't started airing yet.

Kanako finally gets a character for Gucheoki Party! I'm sure even the kids know she's a Pirate, lol. I think Shiori's the only one without a secondary character. Reni is a detective and Arin is the female equivalent of the guy with the glasses, unless that doesn't count.

I wasn't expecting them to have a stage. For some reason I thought they'd perform right on the floor. Maybe it's to protect the surface since it's so old. I wonder if they'll release some high quality videos from the concert.

Bring on the swordplay!

That dance preview has me super hyped for Iginari's MV!!! This should be their first. By the look of the pic, it has a decent budget. I just hope they upload the full video and not a "Short ver." that's 1:30 (>.<)

Yeah, I hope Stardust keeps giving International fans more access. There aren't many of us out there, but it's much appreciated.

I don't remember reading about this. Team Shachi's Honoka is in the stage production of the Manga "Aoashi". The name of the character she plays is "Kaidou Anri", but I don't know what kind of role it is. In Honoka's brief comment, she basically says she's been a fan of the Manga, so it's something she's wanted to see performed on stage. She's just happy to be a part of it. You can see her in the very last pic.

A couple of A-rin focused clips:

Making bento (I think these will be available at Momoclo mania? Meijiza-performances). A side note, but the background music...

idk what's going on here

I saw news about this but didn't realize it was from a manga, I thought it was just football-related. I linked to a short interview in a previous post.

On the subject of Shachi, here's a cute pic
