It’s really refreshing to see a kpop idol not be afraid to step up and defend themself and their members. I hope fans won’t be too harsh on Hong Minji though. I think her “that place should be mine” was what ticked Taeyeon off but imo, her message isn’t just directed to Hong Minji but to all the people that breathed in SM’s direction and then claimed that they “were almost a SNSD member“, trying to ride on the foundation that SNSD have built through their own sacrifices and hard work. It was a much needed call-out. I love seeing how Taeyeon keeps becoming more and more honest and straightforward over the years.
It’s a shame that people are still going to nitpick at her words but I guess people can never be too happy for Taeyeon and will always feel the need to bring her down in some way.
Taeyeon won the Top 10 award and Best Ballad with Four Seasons and the MMAs! She's won the Top 10 Awards 3 years with SNSD and 2 years as a solo
