it depends what the goal of the show is i guess - probably something like the unit tried doing but with more recent groups this time? i don't know

The latest rumor from a chinese site say 3 of the groups would be fromis, loona, and oh my girl leaving out the post-IOI groups. If it did include those 3, it would be groups in a healthy state.

yeah that + the other translation i found (posted on last page i believe) makes it seem more like they’re aiming to find groups with good sized fandoms who are from companies outside the big 3 (?) and that they’ll all have comebacks soon and be judged on various things to see who is “the queen”

if that’s really the case it’s not as bad as a lot of us assumed but the concept is still kinda weird to me lol but i guess we will have to see what further info comes out about the show and how things will work

i get the vibes that its like girl spirit wanted to try to vaguely be a survival show
