StanPretty much every artist experienced a big drop in digital points this week - they are having pretty extreme weather over their which has impacted all songs other than Dynamite which despite having no genuine promo in SK, is getting an unbelievable amount of free promo with shout outs from the president himself.
The positions dropping is the worrying part as with the chart change, songs are mostly sticking more. So the fact that this is consistently falling means it's struggling a lot. If it can stay in the top 100 on Melon until the next release it should get a bit of a boost.
Also, what on earth is having with Line Japan?

Maybe userbase itself increased?

Not likely as no other acts around them are gaining such a massive boost.Maybe userbase itself increased?
Even BTS isnt growing as fast and they just had a comeback so who knows.

Yeah, you know how it's going to be.Here we go, akp blinks already in their clown costumes
They refuse to accept the idea that if they didn't have a hardcore 9 month donation campaign that raised, I think currently, 400k copies BlackPink's current preorder would only be around 400k. Since it's 800 now.
I'm surprised it's that low to be honest, only 400-ish thousand? Crazy. I figured they would at least push the 550k form Twice + 400k donated.
Either way 800k, big number and unlikely for Twice to beat it in October, but Twice do have the selling power to destroy that number if we employ the same gimmicks and long donation periods.

StanIf we sell around 650-700k after 5 month and just one month after Japanese comeback, I take it as a win.Yeah, you know how it's going to be.

That's still difficult, without long term e begging the deck is sacked against us. It's difficult. If we sell around 650-700k after 5 month and just one month after Japanese comeback, I take it as a win.

StanI was under the impression they had ~400k overall from China by now, surely more than half of that isn't being donated.
Anyhow the writing has been on the wall for a while now for this and the rhetoric, to some extent understandable, is going to be excruciatingly annoying, especially if they somehow reach a million. Twice will most likely never be able to move as much in China which is the only way they could get close and the difference between the two from a physical standpoint.
I'm already seeing a lot of the revisionist history such as "BP have been the biggest since 2018" as if Twice didn't outchart and outsell in 2019.

StanIt is a full album tho. There will be certain gigs from JYP which will boost the sales and it will depend on how much can COnces increase their capacity. They went from 30k to 100k last time. That's still difficult, without long term e begging the deck is sacked against us. It's difficult.
Btw, that 270k from US and Europe sound like bs

you know what? despite all jyp fandoms critic JYPE, WHY JYPE STOCK REACH ALL TIME HIGH in 52 week? wtf they had 40k per shares now and 1.4T market cap thats crazy.
about BP, i dont surprise if they can reach 800k-900k they had massive exposure, well its okay i will only focus on twice improvement didnt really need take a look into others, twicetober will have 700k for sure and once again i worried about digital more than physical tbh

StanAnd reading peoples/other fans thoughts around - when I was talking about what happened to EXO with BTS happening to Twice to an extent, one of the things I meant was how due to the numbers BTS pulled, a lot of people discredit EXO unfairly. And newer kpop fans/BTS fans are too large for that to be counter-acted
I've already seen a lot of discrediting of Twice and honestly unless October gets at least close to their sales and the digitals aren't as bad as the last two releases, it will only get worse. When the rhetoric gets too strong one way ti's hard to stop

nah its because SM suck and didnt dare to risk against bighit at that time.. they also didnt have hold in japan..
meanwhile for twice its still have so many rooms to grow..
twice pretty much still less-known in europe or western / no exposures.
they didnt have big china fanbase too.
i think all group had low and high in their career, i think this is the right time for JYP tu turn it up and step up.
i think as long as k-onces are still very loyal to twice i dont think twice will go down, 50 % sales are from them

EXO sales went down because their fanbase is a mess.
And on the bolded - JYPE doesn't suck? Arguably even more?
Their eyes are already elsewhere with newer groups. We're seeing less and less investment into Twice and nothing is showing that it's going to change.

Exo's sales mostly went down due to them being heavily inflated by solo stan's, it's was enlistment that sort of harmed them.EXO sales went down because their fanbase is a mess.

@Dreamer95 my assumption on that 270k is basically due to them having global distribution this time round, last time I saw HYLT sold less than 30k in those regions which is kind of good news since it tell's us the buying rate is a lot broader than we thought with/without distribution.
Twice doesn't have their albums in US stores and sold around 6k iirc so if JYPE./Republic decide to distribute to the US and maybe even Europe a large jump could happen.

StanNo one would care about the way BP numbers were achieved. They will be the best selling physical gg from now on for 90% kpop fans. With a huge opportunities for mediaplay that will be (and should be) used. And honestly, can you blame them? With all the efforts yg put in in this album, with all preparations from fans it's a well deserved result.
JYPE could have done the same with M&M comeback, but they decided to drop Fanfare a month later so I guess they've got what they wanted out of this situation.
Anyway, congrats to BP and their fans, it's a huge achievement. Maybe we'll see kpop gg getting 1m sales again finally.

Pretty much.
JYPE never had the same goals or the know-how to get past a certain point.

What's that quote about the victor writing the history or some such? I can't remember. But anyway the choice that Once have right now is to complain or move on and start to save.
It's not about just popularity and buying power, but also tactics from both fans and companies and since we got Fanfare, which gobbled up around 250k orders, and now we have #Twice3 about 4-5 weeks before their next Korean comeback we can safely say the 'tactics' are only going to come from Once.
My opinion is without the companies we can't reach a much higher number. We need distribution outside of Korea and Japan, we need more space between comebacks and JYPE/WMJ need to explore the possibility of actually promoting the comeback in Japan....I mean imagine BTS not promoting their comebacks in the US right? It just doesn't happen at all...it's like throwing away cash from your biggest fan base...
But JYPE aren't really interested in any of that or switching things up to help out, if they were we would have gotten Fanfare and #T3 on top of K comebacks. So any and all increase(which I think Once can easily push 650-700 for a full album) is going to be fandom and fandom alone.
My hope is, and it's cruel to say, but J Once just totally abandon #Twice 3....just fuck that thing off, let it tank big time and take the temporary L to help out with the comeback in October. Tho I doubt it will happen since let's be honest J Once don't really contribute 'that' much to Korean comebacks for some reason.

It may happen since fan events for T3 were postponed, which in COVID era basically means "cancelled"

Stuck in my Head, the non promoted Korean B-side, is doing kind well to be honest.
It's still number 1 on real time too and Twice gain nearly 10k followers on line in the last 24 hours again
It's also number 2 on the Mu-Mo real time streaming chart and daily chart(Mu-Mo being a much much bigger chart than Line)
@colorpop yeah I'm surprised it took so long for them to admit defeat and cancel the Tokyo Dome dates...I hear J Once are having a rotten time trying to get refunds for those tickets and have been since the initial postponement.
