StanJust scrolled through kpop sub reddit and it made me realize once again how little or, better to say, non existing, current TWICE presence within the general public sight. I mean, we already discussed it couple of times, but now during covid era it's even more obvious. When, if not now, should they made some efforts to put TWICE back on gp radar? Some tv appearance, drama, OST, radio show? Yes, TTT episodes are cute, but having in mind TWICE's decline on CF market, JYPE really gives zero opportunities for non-fandom koreans to actually remember who TWICE are.

Drama and OST won’t happen. We were lucky to get 1 from Jeongyeon since it was her sister drama and they both sung on the track but that’s it.
Hopefully k-once will make better demands next time and ask for solo activities. JYPe heard us with Naive maybe if fans pushed even harder they’ll budge again.
Also I don’t know if you guys noticed but there’s been an influx of idols going into acting. Like just last week there’s been back to back news of idols being confirmed to join a web drama or Netflix show.
This whole OT9 thing isn’t working for this generation. Anyways.... first time posting in here by the way.

StanYeah, maybe OST\drama is too much to ask, but idk, at least some activity? Like some second tier shows: masked singer (even though it's fake af and I hate endless overreactions) or some radio interviews, ambassador of some bs appointment - anything.
Twice's lack of activity in between cb promotions was kind of understandable when they were grinding concerts non-stop, but now, in covid era it's just too noticable. I can't believe there is zero demand for girls, more like JYPE intentional policy.

nah my friends is in korea, they are still popular within gp just like bts and bp, everyone know them but they said lately jype didnt give their usual style of song, after all twice is known for their fresh concept.
if oct comeback with usual classic twice concept i think they will dominate digital again

StanIf you had asked me two months back if the next release would sell more than M&M and I would have been pretty confident. But looking at how incredibly badly #Twice3 has done, increasing split/frustration within the fanbase, especially Korean (who buy the most albums) and not hearing anything about cfans makes me think it's going to be a struggle to get near the numbers.
Not much has gone right or been positive within the fanbase since M&M was released.
Pretty much - all Twice content outside of Korean comebacks are just insular in nature, and even Twice fans are caring less for some of it. Slow road down.

StanNew layout as well as pre-order links one month prior to cb is unusual for JYPE, they will start introducing new era on Oct 5th most likely.

Yes, but these times are unusual. I think the folks at JYPE haven't made an international order recently and probably don't know anyone outside of EA is dealing with DHL delivery only from SK and getting shafted with charges more than 3 times what they were pre-covid.
Most of us only found this out during more and more.
So it would be nice for them to take a second to, I don't know, maybe think about the fans for a second instead of trying to sell us 10 things at a time and actually give us some links.
We don't know it's size, weigh, number of versions, participating outlets, etc. I mean if business is usual what we're to assume is 3 versions and save for that, what happens if it's 6 like the last full album(which we don't even know)? On import charges that drastically changes the price, 3 versions already cost 170 Euro order total to my country. That will likely be around 290-ish if it's 6 versions....we'd like to get things rolling early please.

StanAs much as I hate JYP yall are too much sometimes. First of all, you don't need to hype up comeback for several months. You don't need pre orders to be announced 2 month ahead. That doesn't really boost sales. Do yall ever thought buying album but didn't because pre orders started late? People who buy will buy anyway.

If they drop pre-order links for the Japanese single before the Korean like they did with M&M it's just another point onto a long list of what has led to here and will result in more negativity/annoyance.

Yeah agreed, one of the biggest benefits of having early pre-orders isn't just about maximising numbers, which it helps with, but also getting the community together somewhat.
We will at least know things like no. of versions, colour scheme, retailers to buy from, etc and the fans can actually in some way have something to focus on, rather than just sitting here in the dark looking at Twicezine photoshoots.
A lot of once aren't happy and haven't been for a while and spamming us with things to buy isn't the answer, all we want is just a few weeks of just the Korean comeback. Put some spotlight on it and not just treat it like a money making opportunity but an event.

JYPE is basically nintendo of kpop industry, no point in asking them to be reasonable.

The annoying thing is that 1m is not unbeatable and hasn't been for twice for a while now. the combination of spamming content to buy and lack of togetherness from the fandom has always crippled them and that's never been so evident in the last few weeks.
Blinks realised something that once never really looked at when dominating the physical market. It's not about fandom size, but about how much money you have in the fandom and they managed that philosophy well over the last few months in saving and encouraging fans to save up and only focus on the album.
What about jyp and once? Well in the last week we've been advertised 4 new and separate things to buy...which you literally can't make up that level of incompetence. But worse than the company offering us no help or chance to focus purchasing power is the fans lap it up. Do you know in 2 weeks japan once have spend over 4m dollars on that scam album no one wanted? No wonder jyp does it...
If our fans were smart they could have kept that money on top of the usual 100 or more thousand they buy....what would 4m get you in album sales? Who knows but that's almost the total amount of money china blinks have saved in 9 months....that's almost 9 months of blink work smashed in 2 weeks on a garbage album nobody wanted. Until that level of greed leaves the company and the idea or 'not letting twice flop' leaves the fandom we're doomed to live this cycle of half asses content spammage that we buy anyway.
