Yikes, this is horrible. But it's a little weird, I just checked out some of the director's previous films and seems like most of his work revolves around transgender people's lives, with positive reviews, and has even been awarded for transgender representation on the media (I think he's a trans man himself).

We should never assume people are "pretending" to be trans. If someone says they're trans then they're trans, right? Are we supposed to be accepting?
