In a written announcement through his agency, Ariyoshi reported, "It's out of character so I'm a little embarrassed, but I don't think there will be anything like this in the future, so I would like to make this announcement. At this time, we, Ariyoshi Hiroiki and Natsume Miku, have gotten married on April 1, 2021."
He continued, "From now on, we will build a lively and happy family together. I will work harder than before in order to bring more laughter to people."
Natsume also expressed, "I've never felt so much joy and happiness than I do now becoming husband and wife with Ariyoshi-san."
The two met back in April of 2011 on TV Asahi's variety program 'Matsuko to Ariyoshi no Ikari Shinto.' Then in August of 2016, it was reported that they had gotten married and Natsume was pregnant, but Ariyoshi's agency denied the reports saying it was groundless.
