The girl group vocal show ‘V-1’ finally debuted today and it showed some promise at least of getting exposure for more nugu groups and vocalists.
The show started by ranking the girls by the online votes.
WJSN’s Yeonjung came in first, Dreamcatcher’s Siyeon took second, while Weki Meki’s Yoojung and Suyeon took third and fourth, and Cherry Bullet’s Haeyoon fell into fifth.

Siyeon went on KOMS too so maybe that helped gain her exposure

Siyeon's Speechless cover gained attention I think, and her KOMS appareance. And she is the only member of her group whereas WeMe had two.

I think they're pretty similar popularity-wise.
Also keep in mind it's a vocal competition show and Yoojung is not a main vocalist. She's known more for her dance and rapping.

Are peoples able to vote for more than one contestant because if not, the votes from Weki Meki fandom might be split between Yoojung and Suyeon

Although both are not widely known in Korea, WikiMeki is marginally more popular because of its two IOIers.

I'm a massive Yoojung fan but I'll be honest I didn't vote fanatically for her, some days I think I didn't even include her in my 5. Again, because it's a vocal competition show and even though she's a solid vocalist, I didn't think she was top 5 of the bunch. I wanted to use my votes to give others a chance because it seemed Yoojung was fairly safe on votes.
Looking at the Naver TV you can see that Yoojung still has a lot of popularity because she's got high views, comments, likes. I think her lower vote ranking and higher perf video buzz is due to fans like me who opted to not vote for her plus her relatively good general public popularity.
