A subjective view as of this hour on this day.

Ella was originally the weakest singer in S.H.E, but she truly worked hard at correcting her mistakes and playing on her strengths. Today, we have in Ella a solid and experienced vocal, and her efforts over the years are what make her such a great mentor on the produce shows. Not only is she now the best in S.H.E at harmonising and the most accomplished composer/lyricist, she also infuses her acting experiences into her performance. Her voice is expressive, and brings the stories in her lyrics to life. Her songs are often uplifting, and empathetic, reflecting how she's inspired by fans and her strong belief in staying true to oneself.

1. 后来 After (Cover of Rene Liu's song, which is the Chinese adaptation of a Japanese song)

Okay I didn't think I would rank it this high, but she loves this song so much and has sung it from her final choice for the competition that formed S.H.E to their last concert, to in Seventeen's bts. Her love for this song really shows in the level of emotion she manages to bring out. She's come a long way, and it shows in this song.

2. 想念自己 Be yourself

This song is about feeling like you don't recognise yourself anymore while trying to tell yourself that you haven't changed too drastically; it's a song focused on those parts of the day when you go home and take off your mask, look yourself in the mirror and try to figure out what the heck you're doing with your life.

3. 差一点 Almost

This might be Ella's cutest song, and her vocal colour is particularly attractive in this one. It's about trying anyway, because you need to try for things and almost reach your goal many times before you can move forward.

4. 坏女孩 Bad Girl

This song is about staying true to herself and thanking her haters/critics for forcing her to start loving herself more under the onslaught of criticism

5. 真的我 The Real Me

This song is similar to Be Yourself, but approaches the same feeling from a different angle. It's perhaps a more matured view, a sequel to Be Yourself. The focal point of the song is telling yourself you can keep doing something/putting up a facade that tires you, or which you aren't quite happy doing - in the middle of the night, telling yourself to keep at it, and to bear with the difficulty, thanking yourself for the efforts that you have put in, while remembering why you're doing what you're doing.
