This is a Long Mafia where the Day and Night phases will last for hours to allow users from different time zones to partake.

Mafia is a social deduction game where players are randomly split into 2 main factions: Good (Heroes) and Evil (Villains). There sometimes may also be a third Neutral faction. The majority of the players are assigned to the Good faction and are uninformed (meaning they do not know the identity of other players) while the remaining minority of the players are assigned to the Evil faction and are informed (meaning they know who the Good members are and who their fellow Evil members are).

The Evil faction's objective is to get the Good voted out during the Day and get them killed during the Night. The Good faction's objective is to correctly eliminate the entire Evil faction. The Neutral faction is NOT a team and wins based on certain objectives given to them.

Each player will also be assigned a role. Some roles have special abilities that can be used during the Night while some roles are "Vanilla" a.k.a. have no special abilities.

The Evil faction shares a Team PM where they are allowed to communicate with one another during Day and Night phases. Whereas, the Good faction only has their individual Role PM.

Endgame/Win Conditions

The Good faction wins when ALL members from the opposing faction(s) have been eliminated and there is at least one Good player alive.

The Evil faction wins when the number of Good members is equal to the number of Evil members (for example, if there are 2 Evil members and 2 Good members remaining, or 1 Evil member and 1 Good, etc), or there is nothing that would prevent that scenario from happening.

This is a Closed setup mafia, meaning the specific roles are not publicly revealed.

Day Phase - 22.5 hours.
Starts at 7PM EDT (8AM KST) and ends at 5:30PM EDT (7AM KST)

During the Day, players are allowed to talk in the Gameplay thread as well as in their Role/Team PM. The objective of Day Phase is for the players to talk and discuss about whom they would like to vote out on that day. The Good members will want to figure out who is Evil and vote them out while the Evil members will want to blend in to get other Good members voted and avoid being voted out themselves.

Night Phase - 1.5 hours.
Starts at 5:30PM EDT (6:30AM KST) and ends at 7PM EDT (8AM KST)

During the Night, players may ONLY talk in their Role/Team PM. The Evil faction will decide whom their team wants to kill at night as well as use their special abilities. Any Good members with special abilities will also submit their actions in PM at night.

Rules

All night actions are processed at the same time.

You may not change your night actions once submitted. First bolded action is final.

Night-kill made by the Evil team is mandatory. If no kill is submitted, the kill will be RNG’d.

Mafia factional kill is assigned in this game, which means they can be tracked, watched, roleblocked, etc.

Players will not be informed if they are roleblocked.

To vote out a player, just post their name in bold (abbreviation is fine as long as it's understandable).

To unvote, just post "unvote" in bold.

You do not have to unvote to change your vote (meaning if you're currently voting player A and you want to vote player B, just post player B's name in bold).

If the Day ends in a tie, it will be resolved through RNG.

During Must Lynch phase, votes will be locked and cannot be changed.

Majority is in effect during Must Lynch. Please stop posting and wait for results as soon as we reach Majority of the votes.

Please do not react to other players' posts at any time while the game is going on.

Discussion of the game outside of the Gameplay thread and your Role PM while it is going on is strictly prohibited.

Angle-shooting is strictly prohibited. Examples include but not limited to discussing replacements or modkills, and using any non-game related information for your gain.

Please do not gamethrow. Examples include but not limited to not wanting to vote for someone due to friendship, or voting someone out due to outside conflicts. Please honor and play for your faction/winning conditions!

You may not screenshot, copy & paste, or quote your Role PM in the Gameplay thread.

Do not edit or delete your posts at any time.

No character revealing. Role revealing is acceptable.

Do not post in the Gameplay thread if you are not a player.

Do not post in the Gameplay thread if you are dead.

You are only allowed to post in the Gameplay thread when it is Day Phase.

Depending on the circumstances and severity, violation of any of these rules may result in being warned, replaced, or mod-killed.

Winning Faction - each player gets 4 orbs and 100k plus coins.
Non-winning Faction - each player gets 1 orb and 100k plus coins.
MVP of the game - gets an extra 2 orbs.

Three 1-3 Star 4th Edition cards will also be given out via RNG at the end of the game.

Also, i don't wanna influence the game while it's going on so just want to put some reminders/pointers here:

-Even if it's technically not required, you should always lynch during Day Phase, especially as Town. Doesn't matter if you are right or not, it helps progress the game and gives out a lot of useful info in the long run.

-Do not lynch or refuse to lynch based on non-game related factors (friendship, you like/dislike a player, etc). If you do that, it's basically considered gamethrowing.

-When you are in Must Lynch as Town, if someone lynches you and you don't see the Evil team pile on you after a while, it means the person who lynched you is almost always Evil and you should lynch them back. Why? Because generally, we reached Must Lynch when the number of Town players is only 1 more than the remaining Evil players (e.g. 3 towns vs 2 evils, 2 towns vs 1 evil). The Evil can never be equal or more than Town at that point because that means they have already won.

So if you are Town and the person who lynched you is also Town, then the game is over because the rest of the Evil can just pile on either of you to win. If everyone is present but there's no piling up, then your lyncher should be confirmed Evil from your POV and you should lynch them back and try to convince the rest of Town to do so. Then the rest of the players should decide between those two players only. DO NOT spread votes
