The mysterious King has a simple request: play that one song he likes.
Do so, and you shall be handsomely rewarded!
Fail, however, and the King might see fit to for you to part ways with your head!!​


I, his royal aide, am looking for the citizenry to submit songs according to the king’s vague requests, and I shall assist you in trying to ascertain the King's exact desires, even when he does not know them, himself! The King may bestow riches upon you, but will you hoard that wealth or spread it among your fellow citizens? Be careful, as your luck might always change...

This is a playlist game combined with a guessing game! It is not genre-specific, you can use K-pop, J-pop, C-pop, Western pop, anything you want.



Rules:
  • The game will have 8 rounds.
  • Each round, you will have 20 hours from the start of the round to submit your best guess for the song being described.
  • After the close of each round, there will be 4 hours for the King to review the submissions.
  • All submissions will be done via the same Google Form each time. Please note the round number when you submit.
  • Songs will be posted in the main thread when announcing the results of each round.
  • Points will be awarded to each user based on how the king receives their submissions. The winners of the game will be decided by their total points at the end of all the rounds.


Overview:
  • All submissions are anonymous.
  • The King is anonymous. As the royal aide, I will handle all communication for him.
  • You will receive one hint each round as to what song the King is thinking of. However, the King has a lot on his mind and can't remember a whole lot about the song he's thinking of, so you’ll have to be creative in how you interpret the hint.
  • Once a song has been submitted, it may not be submitted again by anyone in any round. You will be notified via PM if your song has already been submitted.
  • The King will rate all songs submitted according to the following scale:
    • Correct answer: You guessed the exact song the King was thinking of! 5 points!
    • Excellent: This was not the correct answer, but the King still thinks it’s a smash. 2 points!
    • Pass: The King is not offended by your selection, but it’s not a bop. 1 point.
    • Fail: The King is disgusted and appalled that you would put this trash before him. 0 points.
  • If you get the correct answer in any round, you will be given an immunity token. This will allow you to get an Excellent score in any future round of your choice. If you get the correct answer in the last round, you are allowed to change your score in one previous round to Excellent.
  • If you get an Excellent score, you will be given a reward to use in the next round only. No rewards will be given in the last round. You are allowed to choose whether or not to make this reward public.
  • When submitting your song for each round, you will specify whether you would like your reward to be public or private, should you receive one. You cannot change your mind once you have submitted, and you do not get to know what the reward is in advance.
    • If you select the public option, your username will be revealed in the thread as someone receiving the reward, and everyone will know which reward you received and may share in your reward, if applicable. This will help build goodwill and positive reputation amongst the populace of Hallyuplusingdom, and may help you out later since some rewards have great potential to save or to harm your fellow citizens.
    • If you select the private option, all information provided by your reward will be kept secret in a PM between you and me. Do not give any information from your reward to anyone else, in the game or otherwise, or you will be penalized. The King has been looking to practice knife-throwing, lately...
  • If you get a Pass, nothing happens. You move on to the next round with no punishment and no reward. Just plain safe.
  • If you get a Fail, you will receive a punishment for the next round. All punishments will be made public so that we may mock you and your poor taste. Punishments will restrict the kinds of songs you are allowed to submit for the round.
  • If you have a punishment and you do not submit a song that fits the requirements of that punishment, you will be forced to resubmit. If you do not resubmit a song that fits the requirements by the deadline of that round, you will take an automatic fail for the next round. If you take an automatic fail for two rounds in a row, you will be removed from the game.

1st Place: 5 orbs, 200k coins
2nd Place: 3 orbs, 150k coins
3rd Place: 1 orb, 100k coins
