A few months prior, former YG Entertainment founder and CEO Yang Hyun Suk was taken to court for the investigations made in 2019 for being accused of participating in gambling overseas. His first trial was held on August 14 for the charges of illegal gambling.

On September 9 KST, Yang Hyun Suk showed up for his trial at Seoul’s Western District Court for the allegations of participating in illegal gambling overseas for a total of seven times from July of 2015 to January of 2019 in Las Vegas.

During this court hearing, Yang admitted to all charges regarding illegal overseas gambling. The other two acquaintances also admitted to their charges as well.

The judge asked, “Why is there so much evidence for a simple gambling case?” in which the prosecutors replied that it was all evidence needed to prove the charges of Yang.

However, Yang’s lawyer responded, “We tracked financial accounts in the process of verifying the source of gambling user funds and most of them are financial-related evidence. There is also evidence that is not related to the allegation.”

The judge stated, “We will make a decision after taking a look at the opinion of the prosecution. The court needs to confirm the contents of the prosecution.”

The court has decided to continue to the trial on October 28 at 2 PM KST.

Well, he's admitting to the lesser charge, while the more serious charge of hwanchigi is still being tried. Knowing the SK legal system, Mr. "I gambled but it wasn't habitual" will probably get a slap on the wrist after this, but the rest of the charges will get swept under the carpet. Waiting to see what Seungsby has to say about his case. :judgingyou:
