How to Play

In this game, each player possesses 2 doses of poison and 2 doses of antidote. They may use them at any round, but may only use up to 1 dose of each in a given round. Please note, 1 dose of antidote is only able to counter 1 dose of poison. Players may apply the antidote on themselves or give it to another player.

There will be 5 rounds. Each round is divided into two main phases: the Serving Phase and the Action Phase. There will also be a Special Phase that occurs in Round 2 and 3. Round 2 will give players the opportunity to gain an extra dose of poison OR antidote. Round 3 will allow all players to peek into another player's inventory.

In the Serving Phase, players will have 5-7 minutes to discuss among themselves. Once time is up, they must let the GM know in their PM 1) the name of a player they’d like to “offer a drink” to and 2) if they want to poison the drink. Once everyone has submitted, the GM will publicize the results in the thread, including the names of the players who have offered the drinks.

e.g. A has been offered a drink by B and C.

Players will then have another 5-7 minutes to discuss and take actions in the Action Phase. They have a choice between either Accept or Reject ALL drinks offered to them. This is also the time where they may use their antidote on themselves or give it to another player. Action(s) are to be submitted in the PM. Once all actions are in, the GM will publicize the results in the thread.

Please note, the GM will reveal the content of the drinks (except for "discarded" ones), but will not specify whom it is from. The GM will also reveal if a poisoned drink has been countered by an antidote, but will not specify whose antidote it is from.

You get 1 point (as a consolation for your bruised ego).​
If you offered a poisoned drink that contributed to another player's death​
You get 2 points (because in this house, we reward snakey deeds).​
If you accepted a poisoned drink that wasn't countered by an antidote​
You die and are eliminated from the game!​

A “safe drink” is one that is either without any poison, or a poisoned drink that’s been countered by an antidote.

If you choose to play safe and reject drinks offered to you, the drink you'd offered to another player will also be "discarded" and removed from the round.

Players (including those who were eliminated earlier) who score the most points by the end of the game will win.

In the event of a tie, an alive player will take precedence over a dead player. The next tiebreaker is the number of players a player has successfully eliminated. Then the number of "safe drinks" a player has correctly accepted. If all else fails, RNG.

Rules

Players must use up their poison by the end of 5 rounds, unless they died before that. Each unused dose of poison will cost them a 2-point deduction.

Players may not communicate with other players, including their house members, outside of the Gameplay thread for the duration of the game.

Please send in your actions timely. Each late submission may result in a 1-point deduction.

Participation - 40k, 7 Elite Gamer Points

House Prizes

Given based on the top score of a member representing a house.

1st place - 3300 gold
2nd place - 2700 gold
3rd place - 2050 gold
Participation - 500 gold

Prizes are subject to change.
