Gaon is a Korean organization that tracks album sales, downloads and streams of music releases in Korea. Sort of the Korean equivalent to the US billboard. Their certification concept is similar to the RIAA, which certifies music sales milestones: number of albums sold, downloaded and streamed.Are these new certifications for the Korean music industry or for these groups themselves?
