Personally, I don't like them, especially when it's adapted from light novels or smth. It always feels so rushed and sometimes the anime seems to skip several key plots just to get within the 12-episode timeframe. Not sure if there are actually "good" ones out there, but the ones I've seen were terrible. What about you?

The first season of Mo Dao Zu Shi was ab 12 episodes, I felt like that was an alright number, as the studio usually produces a story around a single arc from the novel, though they used a lot of exposition to make up for story cuts (such as the ultra-violent aspects of the sunshot campaign).
Though there are some anime that I've seen where e 12 episodes just isn't enough and you can tell that the studio was rushing through the story to be able to conclude it within the 12th episode e.g. Angel Beats felt rushed near the end, so did the final season of Tokyo Ghoul.

....i wish it had more i didn't want it to endanohana has 11 eps and its good
but yeah you're right. it was very good
i've seen some 12-episode anime that i enjoyed, so... i think it just really boils down to if it's a good fit for the adapted material or not. most shounen, for example, are always going to need more than that. but a slice-of-life comedy or something? odds are, 12 episodes is fine, and if it does really well, then just give it a second season. lol

It depends. For established manga/novel series with long ass arcs probably too short. For series that are more episodic, 12 episodes is a fine lengthFor original stuff, any length is fine.
Anime is basically a commercial for something if it's based on some material. 12 episodes or releasing an OVA may be a good way to get attention without getting too much commitment for both the target public and studio.

I don't really care about the number of episodes. There is animes with longer episodes but with the weak plot, it's still a mess.
Hibiki
NuguI like them - a typical 1 cour anime can be binge watched in just under 7 hours. It ultimately boils down to the writing for me. There's lots of plot-heavy shows that make good use of the limited time, while there's just as many that are rushed to fit into 12 episodes.

I like them at 12 eps. It’s easy to watch them and not invest too much time. Honestly it depends on the series and how they adapted it. I’ve seen Plenty of series that fall apart after 12-24 eps because the pacing is bad or they take too long to get to certain plot points
Only thing is, if I enjoyed it, im sad when it ends
