After taking a break last Sunday, Social Media team is back with a new ICYMI! This week was incredibly busy (especially
its beginning), full of contract terminations, debut announcements, and various exciting news for many fandoms
(and a few unfortunate ones, sadly). So let's get started!
MONDAY:
#1- On Monday, Infinite's L announced that he had left Woollim Entertainment after expiration of his contract but promised to continue with the group.
Let's see what the future brings him!
#2- Two groups revealed their fandom names on Monday: a week before the group's debut, X1's fans became "One It", and Everglow's fandom
is now named "FOR•EVER"! How do you feel about the names?
#3- BTOB's Peniel is partnering up with Beenzino for a new single, which will be released on August 27! The song is called "Flip". Anticipating!
#4- Good news for European fans: Super Junior, NCT Dream, CIX, Elris and RGP will perform together at Novus Festival in Germany on October 25
and 26! Tickets went on sale on Friday, did you grab yours? (spoiler: a few staff members did - look forward to a review after the concerts!)
#5- Who said Rania disbanded? Not their company, as the group is coming back after a year without activities with a joint concert in Romania!
#6- Monday was definitely a busy day, as we learnt that Maroo Entertainment will debut a new 3-member boy group with Produce X101's
trainees Lee Jinwoo, Lee Taeseung and Lee Woojin in September. Good luck to them!
#7- It was also revealed that Momoland's Yeonwoo was absent from the group's schedules for an extended period of time because of a panic
disorder. After receiving treatment, she is now preparing for her return. We are very glad she's been feeling better and wish her the best!
TUESDAY:
#1- It was unfortunately announced on Tuesday that TXT's comeback was pushed back to the latter half of October following the news that Taehyun
and Huening Kai contracted conjunctivitis. We wish all the members well!
#2- Produce 48's Han Chowon and The Unit's Lee Joohyun signed a contract with CUBE Entertainment! Both are currently preparing for debut but
plans still have to be revealed. As for YG Treasure Box & Produce X101's Kang Seokhwa, it was revealed that he has joined Oui Entertainment!
#3- We also learnt on Tuesday that Twice will be the star of their own YouTube Originals documentary! It will focus on the concerts
they held in North America this year, and will be released worldwide in early 2020!
#4- Following all the revelations of the past few weeks and the start of investigations, Yang Hyun Suk (YG) is now banned from leaving South Korea.
He will have to wait patiently until decisions are made...
#5- Bad news for AKB48's fans: the group's TV show "AKBINGO!", which has lasted for over a decade, will broadcast its final episode in September.
WEDNESDAY:
#1- In shocking news, Ku Hye Sun revealed her husband Ahn Jae hyun requested a divorce last Sunday - and on Wednesday, Ahn Jae Hyun posted his side
in the continuing drama. We bet revelations won't stop dropping...
#2- MYTEEN had unfortunately announced their disbandment, with a heartfelt letter from Eunsu. The news came a few days after former members
Kookheon and Yuvin were revealed to re-debut together (their song came out on Saturday). We wish all the members the best on their future endeavours!
#3- Voted number one in last year's election, SKE48's center Matsui Jurina will be making her solo debut! Her album "Privacy" will be released on the 28th
of this month. Are you excited for the undeniable ace to break out on her own?
#4- Their new album still has to be released, but Super Junior members are already getting ready for a new world tour! Eunhyuk, who directs their
concert, is the one who announced "Super Show 8" on Twitter!
#5- Last but not least, Big Hit and Source Music officially opened global audition together, with the aim of debuting a new girl group!
THURSDAY:
#1- Good news for everyone who voted for him a month ago: UP10TION member and former Produce X101 contestant Lee Jinhyuk will reportedly be
making his solo debut in October!
#2- Ex-Pristin Im Nayoung joined a new company! She will now work under Sublime Artist Agency, which focuses mostly on acting and modelling,
but also on recording music. Let's anticipate her future schedules!
#3- Another boy group announced their fandom name this week: after encountering issues with the previous name a few months ago, TXT fans
are now official called "MOA" (Moments of Alwaysness)!
#4- MNET allegedly rigging Produce's votes for all seasons (police found an incriminating audio file on Monday) has consequences: it was reported
that the advertising industry cancelled sponsorship plans for X1. We hope it won't affect their activities too much!
FRIDAY:
#1- Singer Hong Jin Young announced on Instagram that she terminated her contract with Music K Entertainment. She expressed her disappointment
and the "betrayal" she felt through the past months in a very long post. Let's wish her the best for the future!
#2- Good news for Oh My Girl's fans: the group will hold their new concerts "Autumn Fairytale 2019 - Black Label" on September 28 and 29 in Seoul!
SATURDAY:
#1 - A few hours before Song Yuvin and Kim Kookheon's debut, a mysterious Twitter account posted pictures of Yuvin and former label mate (and Produce 101 contestant) Kim Sohee kissing and allegedly spending time together in Sweden. Music Works reacted a few hours later, stating the two broke up a while ago.
SUNDAY:
Nothing groundbreaking happened - a slow day, as usual on weekends!
#1- RED VELVET - UMPAH UMPAH
Two months only after the release of "Zimzalabim", Red Velvet came back on Tuesday with the 2nd part of their trilogy "The ReVe Festival" and its title
track, "Umpah Umpah"! This exciting pop song, less experimental and more "public friendly" than their previous one, will make you forget that summer is
almost over!
#2- VIINI (KWON HYUNBIN) - GENIE
Former JBJ member Kwon Hyubin debuted his solo career on Monday with "Genie" and the EP "Dimension"! With these four new tracks, the artist, who is now
promoting under the name "Viini", decided to leave JBJ's pop songs in the past and let hiphop and rap sounds influence his work. You can give "Genie" a
listen in the video below!
#3- EVERGLOW - ADIOS
The members of Everglow came back on Monday with their second single "Adios"! If you enjoyed their debut with "Bon Bon Chocolat", there is now doubt that
you will not be disappointed in this new release: its heavy instrumentals and the beat drops make the song as catchy as possible, and the song (along with its
music video) perfectly establishes the powerful concept the girls are going for!
#4- UP10TION - YOUR GRAVITY
With Lee Jinhyuk and Kim Wooseok's participation in Produce X101 (the latter making it to X1), UP10TION has undoubtedly been gaining more popularity.
The group seized the opportunity to come back as soon as possible and dropped "Your Gravity" on Thursday. The song doesn't waste any time and starts strong
from the first verse - bringing the listener into a rollercoaster ride with regular changes of tempo and influences. Its music video is available below!
#5- AKB48 - SUSTAINABLE
The girls of AKB48 released their 56th single "Sustainable" on Thursday! With this new song, they go back to their roots, making their fans feel nostalgic
and delighted with the comeback of the concept, sounds and aesthetics that define their "golden era". It's time for you to listen to it!
#6- HENRY - I LUV U
Henry Lau left SM Entertainment last year but is still very much present on the kpop scene! The music video for latest song, "I Luv U" was released on Tuesday,
and if you are into quality romantic ballads, this one will make your heart melt and feel ready to confess to your crush without further ado.

#7- OH HAYOUNG - DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH
Apink's Hayoung's upcoming solo debut was announced in late July - and exactly a month after, she finally released her first EP "OH!" and its title track
"Don't Make Me Laugh" on Wednesday! This girly pop song, that showcases Hayoung's sweet but strong vocals, brings a breath of fresh air to an industry
currently dominated by heavy EDM tracks!
#8- THE BOYZ - D.D.D
Stronger than ever after getting their first music show win in May, The Boyz are back and released their fourth extended play "Dreamlike" on Monday! With
D.D.D, the track they chose to promote, the message is clear: the members want to make you "dance dance dance" along the song's exciting pop chorus
and rnb/hiphop-influenced bridges. Check it out now!
#9- CELEB FIVE - I WISH I COULD UNSEE THAT
Celeb Five's comeback as a group was announced a few weeks ago, and their new song is full of surprises! "I Wish I Could Unsee That" first appears to be
a sweet ballad, to which the four comediennes dance along in white dresses and flower crowns. Don't let appearances deceive you though... everything from
the concept to the lyrics (narrated by Seolhyun) was obviously thought to include parody, and we can only give them a round of applause for doing it so well!
For once we will link a live performance instead of their music video... watch it until the very end, you won't be disappointed
#10- KIM KOOKHEON & SONG YUVIN - BLURRY
The two former members of MYTEEN and Produce X101 contestants Kookheon and Yuvin, who were announced to re-debut as a unit a few days ago,
dropped their music video for "Blurry" on Saturday. This sentimental ballad puts the highlight on the boys' perfect vocals that make their reputation. You
