Hello HallyuPlusers and welcome to another episode of Press Team's famous "In Case You Missed It" article! It was a relatively peaceful week in terms of News, however there were a lot of new releases and record-breaking achievements. So without further ado, grab a seat and let's start this recap!

MONDAY:
#1-Right as Monday kicked off, we got some nice news! Verivery's Kangnim will be joining Astro's Moonbin and Sanha as "Show Champion's" new MC! This combination sounds amazing!

#2- Sadly, this week again brought us schedule cancellations due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. On Monday, UP10TION member Wooseok's fan meeting was announced to be postponed. This continued throughout the week: KCON won't be held, and Babymetal, AB6IX, J.Y.Park and Super Junior postponed their concerts. Also IU was supposed to attend her grand presidential award ceremony, but had to pass because she is still in self-isolation.

#3- In these tough times of a pandemic outbreak, the angels among us become more prominent than ever. Many celebrities donated for the cause this week. Monday had Park Hyo Shin, 2PM's Junho, Twice's Dahyun, Lee Minho with his agency, Monsta X, and EXO's Kai and Suho's donations. Through the week, we also had Hyun Bin, gugudan's Sejeong, Rain and Kim Tae Hee, IU (on two occasions), Heize and CUBE Entertainment's donations! We thank them for their good deeds!

#4- It seems like we will soon be seeing some idols we missed a lot! Park Bom, ex-B.A.P's Himchan and A.C.E were announced as being some of "The Korea Festival" performers!



TUESDAY:
#1- It seems like Avex has found a way to make up for all the cancellations due to the Coronavirus outbreak. They will release a hundred videos from their artists for all the fans that missed them. What do you think about this decision?

#2- Mnet is about to launch a new and interesting variety show that will fuse together the modern and retro! It will be called "Between Quiz and Music". What are your thoughts about the show?

#3- A show about beauty will get a visual host - APRIL's Naeun will be joining "Get It Beauty 2020"! We can't wait to watch her!



WEDNESDAY:
#1- Trendy Chinese star, Wang Yibo, was announced to be the new spokesperson for Swarovski! We can't wait to see him covered in shiny jewelry!

#2- Kim Wooseok wasn't satisfied with just conquering the music industry through UP10TION and X1, now this star is ready to make an impact in the acting world as he was announced to be the male lead in the drama "Twenty Twenty"!

#3- The waiting for CNBlue's Minhyuk and Jungshin is soon coming to an end as this duo will be discharged from the military on March 19th! We will be glad to see them soon!

#4- SM Entertainment responded to various rumours by stating that none of their artists are a part of Shincheonji Church. Furthermore, they will be taking legal actions against those responsible for spreading this rumour. Hopefully, the accusations stop.

#5- IU returned to the modelling life on Wednesday as Chamiseul Soju announced her as their new face! Even alcohol will be hard to resist when we see her face on it!

#6- All Jaehyun, Johnny and Yuta biased NCTzens were happy to see these idols opening their Instagram profiles this Wednesday! Did you follow them already?



THURSDAY:
#1- We were met with good news as we started Thursday! Flower Flower will be releasing their 3rd full album soon and even sooner, Seventeen will be releasing their 2nd Japanese single, Fallin' Flower, on Monday! March has started off on a good leg!

#2- Reportedly, Fantagio's Gong Myung has left the company and joined Saram Entertainment. We wish him luck!



FRIDAY:
#1- After a waiting for a long time, EXO-ls and Suho fans can finally expect his solo debut! The album will be released on March 30th, and it is called "Self-Portrait"!



SATURDAY:
#1- The hype for ITZY's Tomorrow comeback was never stronger, and the girls fueled the anticipation with their TikTok channel opening! We can't wait to see the content they will post!



SUNDAY:
No major news dropped on Sunday!

#1- NCT 127 - KICK IT
NCT 127 didn't come to play this time, they came to kick it! The group was on their longest pause between releases, but they returned in a grand style which fans welcomed by breaking all the records. After exploring the possibility of impossible with "Superhuman", "Kick It" is centered on Chinese culture and various elements of martial arts. While presenting their skills, they looked so devilishly handsome that it was almost impossible to match their appearance with their angelic, mesmerizing voices. If you aren't already hooked by NCT 127, you will be after checking this release!





#2- SUPER☆GiRLS - FORGOTTEN CHERRY BLOSSOM
It is never too early for spring sensations, at least according to Super☆Girls, so they came back with a refreshing bop welcoming the cherry blossom season in Japan. The music video set is full of cherry blossoms, and it emphasizes the members' happiness when being with each other, as they spend their precious time playing and enjoying the season. The girls' soft vocals transform into powerful ones as the song progresses into the chorus followed by synchronized choreography. If you⁠—like us⁠—long for a nice spring weather, this song will make you feel like it is already there! So come, dive into the "Forgotten Cherry Blossom"!





#3- F.T. ISLAND - SUNRISE YELLOW
Happy 10th anniversary to F.T.Island and their fandom, Primadonnas! To celebrate the anniversary, the group released a special song, "Sunrise Yellow", as a thank you gift for the fandom. The song's title refers to the fandom colour, Sunshine Yellow, but changed to Sunrise Yellow as a sign that the group won't be leaving behind their Primadonnas, but rather they are turning a new page and starting a new adventure. F.T. Island put their most precious memories with the fans into this song for you to relive all those years with them!





#4- YEZI - HOME
On Thursday, Yezi came back with her new digital single, "Home". The artist—who was Fiestar's main rapper from 2012 to 2018 and participated in Unpretty Rapstar 2 in 2015—has already reminded the general public that she is also a great singer with her previous title track, "My Gravity", which dropped in January. With "Home", Yezi makes another attempt at releasing more vocal-oriented songs and shows how much of a multi-talented performer she is. This time, she tells us the story of a sad break-up and a lover she can't forget—and thanks to her powerful voice, those nostalgic lyrics blend really well with the song's upbeat instrumentals. "Home" has already made its way to our playlist... and we bet it'll join yours very soon too!





#5- DREAMCATCHER - ENDLESS NIGHT
The Dreamcatcher girls apparently didn't waste any time after their Korean comeback last month, as this week they presented us with the hard-hitting Japanese single, "Endless Night". Going stronger than ever, the girls were featured with an even more powerful rock sound you sure won't forget soon as it gets you hooked right from the beginning. Particularly enjoyable were the high notes in the chorus that complimented the instrumentals so well. If you are looking to enrich your playlist, surely "Endless Night" will find its place there as soon as you give it a listen!





#6- YOOK SUNGJAE - COME WITH THE WIND
BTOB's vocalist and temporary leader, Yook Sungjae released his first solo special album, "Yook O'Clock" on Monday. If you are looking for a song to transition from the cold temperatures of winter to the peaceful atmosphere of spring, "Come With The Wind" will definitely do the job perfectly. You have two choices: you can either close your eyes and let the singer serenade you with his warm voice, or you can enjoy the amazing graphics that come with the music video. No matter what choice you make, you will definitely be content, so make sure to check it out!





#7- LEE SOO YOUNG - FIND ME
K-pop fans, are you familiar with Lee Soo-Young? I must admit I was not, but today I discovered that this amazing singer debuted in 1999 and was one of the best-selling artists in South Korea almost two decades ago. Even though she recorded a few drama OSTs in the 2010s, she hadn't made any official comeback since 2009. Lee Soo-Young has been preparing to release "Find Me" for half a year, and the quality of the song definitely makes up for the long wait her fans had to go through. Her voice is truly mesmerizing, and after listening to it several times, to me there is no doubt she still deserves the nickname of "queen of ballads" that was given to her twenty years ago!





#8- VIINI - LOVE THE MOON (FT. AKMU SUHYUN & BLOO)
Kwon Hyun-bin has truly come a long way since his participation in Produce 101 Season 2 as a trainee under YG K+, a company that only trains models. After JBJ's disbandment, the artist changed his stage name to VIINI and made his solo debut in the K-Pop industry in August 2019. He came back on Wednesday with "Love The Moon", featuring BLOO and Akdong Musician's Lee Suhyun. The rapper helped in composing the song and writing beautiful lyrics that compare his significant other with the moon that shines brightly above him despite his struggles, and that he can't help but love with all his heart. The collaboration between the three artists makes the song even more worth checking out, so don't wait any more and listen to it!





#9- ALEXA - DO OR DIE
It is a post dystopian world, where one survivor is left to fight the evil and save the Earth for possible future inhabitants. It sounds like the plot of a great action movie, but it is actually the theme for AleXa's first comeback, "Do Or Die". This fierce girl bravely fought the evil in this story-telling music video, and still managed to show us most of her admirable rapping and vocal skills, making us addicted to the song. But did she save the Earth? You will have to check the MV below for the answer!

#1- BTS once again becomes a legend, as their latest album "Map of the Soul: 7" topped the Billboard 200 Chart, making it their fourth album to do so in only one year and nine months—the shortest record since The Beatles! Not only that but their title track "On" debuted at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, which makes it the highest in history for a K-Pop group. The album has also surpassed 1 billion total streams on Spotify, thus becoming their 5th album to do so!
The album also sold more than 377,000 copies in Japan, topping Oricon's Weekly Chart.
And in Korea, they dominated four of the Gaon weekly charts!


#2- Monsta X's rooftop performance of "Hero" has finally reached 100 million views! If you haven't seen this legendary video, you should definitely check it out!


#3- Rookie boy group JO1 debuted at #1 on Oricon's Daily Singles Chart with "Protostar" with more than 215,000 copies sold! We look forward to them shooting towards success!


#4 - NCT127 also stood in the spotlight of this week's list of achievements as they broke several of their (and NCT's) records. First off, their full-length album "Neo Zone" recorded more than 530,000 pre-orders as of March 5th, their highest so far. The album also sold more than 184,000 copies on its first day, breaking NCT's previous first-week sales record held by NCT Dream's "We Boom", which sold more than 182,000 copies on its first week. As of March 8th, 0 AM KST, the album has sold a total of 194,000 copies.
Their music video for the title track "Kick It" recorded more than 6.8 million views within the first 24 hours, which makes it the highest viewed NCT music video within that time frame, dethroning NCT Dream's "Boom". Later on, it kept rising and eventually reached 10 million views in less than 2 days, the fastest for any NCT music video (a record previously held by "Boom" at 4 days and 5 hours)
The song also debuted at #7 on MelOn, the highest for any NCT song debut, and peaked at #3 on the MelOn Realtime Charts (also the highest for any NCT song).


#5- American K-Pop soloist AleXa recently released her song "Do or Die" and its music video reached 1 million views in less than 12 hours, which is an amazing feat for a rookie soloist on her first comeback!


#6- Ever-glowing super rookies EVERGLOW proves they are the hottest group to watch out for as their Instagram account just reached 1 million followers, and it's still growing quickly!

#7- It seems like the girl group that came out of Chinese Produce 101 was destined for success as their "Calorie" MV has surpassed a cumulative score of 10 million on QQ Music's Top MV Chart! It is certainly an amazing success for this rookie group!
