Hello HallyuPlusers and welcome to our usual weekly recap of all news in Asian Entertainment! Hopefully you are seated comfortably and ready to dive into this busy week's events!

BY MIATHEIKONIC

MONDAY:
#1- The Fact Music Awards were previously postponed, and on Monday we got an announcement that these awards will be held tomorrow, the 16th of March. The ceremony will be held online due to the still-existing fear of coronavirus spreading.

#2- To stop the spreading of the ongoing pandemic, this week we saw kind hearts donating to the affected: on Monday,
EXO's Baekhyun, AOA Seolhyun and Seventeen's Hoshi all donated money to Hope Bridge, and this continued through the week with APink Chorong's generous donation.

#3- JYP Entertainment's founder, Park Jinyoung, had some happy news to share with all the fans this Monday: his wife
gave birth to their second child! We congratulate this family!

#4- We also had some good news considering Kang Daniel! This star will make his awaited
comeback with "Cyan" on March 24th! We can't wait!

#5- This week also got us a few contracts signings. On Monday, a former member of 4minute, Son Jihyun has signed an exclusive contract with Wells Entertainment. The week continued with ex-Wonder Girls
Hyelim signing with Yubin's RRR Entertainment, and Chungha signing with ICM to take over the global market. Ex-Secret Han Sun Hwa will make her acting career take a new turn as she signed with KeyEast Entertainment, home to many prominent actors and actresses. We wish them all luck in this new part of their careers!

#6- Ong Seongwu and Zico fans have the same reason to rejoice this time, as the duo is
reportedly filming for "Running Man" together! Broadcast is scheduled for March 28th. For the week before that, on March 22nd, we found out that the show will feature Kang Daniel's appearance! A blessed two weeks for the show!

#7- We saw some depart for the military too, for example
UNIQ's Sungjoo. Seungri also enlisted on Monday and is expecting his case to be continued on Military Court.

#8- Unfortunately, we had to end this day on a sad note, as SNSD
Taeyeon's father passed away. We wish her strength in these hard times, and may his soul rest in peace.

TUESDAY:
#1- Long-awaited Hong Jin Young's comeback is near! The singer worked with composer Cho Young Soo on this release, and it is scheduled for April 1st! Two more comebacks, or debuts, were announced through the week too: TVXQ's Changmin will reportedly make his solo debut soon, while APink is, according to reports, preparing for their April comeback! The anticipation is growing!

#2- We were glad to see idols open new SNS accounts this week, and among them, ex-After School Bekkah shared the link to her YouTube channel with us!

#3- Some changes were made to IZ*ONE's production team on Tuesday. Their previous albums were produced by PLEDIS Entertainment and their CEO Han Sung Soo, but he announced on Instagram that
he won't produce the group's albums anymore as of April. Their future releases will be co-managed by Of The Record and Swing Entertainment. We are interested to see what happens next!

#4- Sadly, as Europe has become the new epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, JYPE announced that the European leg of Stray Kids' tour "District 9: Unlock"
will be cancelled.
Later in the week, Everglow
cancelled their Los Angeles show.

WEDNESDAY:
#1- Some new details were announced about MNET's "Road to Kingdom": it will be hosted by Lee Da Hee and Jang Sung Kyu! The show already looks great considering the MCs!

#2- Legendary quadrumvirate, Big Bang, is back from military and it looks like these guys will keep setting new K-Pop standards... as they have all
resigned their contracts with YG Entertainment! VIPs can't wait for their future releases!

#3- During Victon's comeback showcase earlier this week, member Cho Byungchan appeared with a neck cast. We got an update on his condition on Wednesday saying
he is receiving treatment for his neck disk. Hopefully he will recover soon.

THURSDAY:
#1- After his musical and releases, Super Junior's Kyuhyun now has an MC position too! He will host "Oh My Part", a pilot-turned-regular variety show. Certainly, one of best K-pop vocalists is the best choice to host a music show!

FRIDAY:
#1- After they released music in Korea and the USA, it is time for Monsta X to make a comeback in Japan! Their 7th single "Wish on the same Sky" is scheduled for April 15th. In order to promote their music before this release, they were announced to guest on "The Kelly Clarkson Show", and it will happen early next week! Judging by their previous Japanese releases, a huge bop is on its way!

SATURDAY:
#1- Some good news from the J-pop scene after all the cancellations! Nogizaka46 have recently travelled a lot, enough to release a whole travel guide book. As you plan your next trip, we have debut news - previously-announced duo "Kame to YamaP", consisting of Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN), will make their debut on April 29th with "SI"!

#2- We also had a couple of happy, romantic news on Saturday. Japanese actress, Yasuda Misako announced the
birth of her second child, and the same day ex-Wonder Girls Hyelim said she has been dating for 7 years now! Congratulations to the both of them!

#3- And the news we were all waiting for this week - Monsta X's Wonho has been
cleared of all charges! Now we can't do anything but wish for his return to the group again.

SUNDAY:
No major news dropped on Sunday!

#1- VICTON - HOWLING
Victon had a special comeback this week. The boys released the album "Continuous", with its fronting track "Howling", returning as the original lineup for the first time in almost two years. Their leader, Seungwoo, was part of X1 and he couldn't promote with Victon, but he is now officially back. These boys continued with the more mature image that was set in "Nostalgic Night", so "Howling" features darker aesthetics, a lot of leather suits, and passionate, capturing choreography. Don't miss out on this chance to be part of a comeback as special as this one.

#2- ITZY - WANNABE
ITZY decided that they are no wannabes: they are strong, influential, powerful women, and they don't fear to show it in their last comeback. Their latest lead track, "Wannabe", is an inspiring song dealing with the tough topic of one's self confidence and attempts to fit in today's world's standards and expectations. Surely, even if you struggle with this topic, these ladies and addictive melody will move you, so don't hesitate and give them a try!

#3- AKB48 - UNTIL THE DAY WE CAN MEET AGAIN
On March 18, AKB48 will be releasing their 57th single, "Shitsuren, Arigatou". In true J-pop fashion, we already discovered its main track of the same name ten days ago; it's now time to take a look at the music video of "Until The Day We Can Meet Again" ("Mata Aeru Hi Made"), Minegishi Minami's graduating song, which was posted on Monday. Whether you are a huge fan of the future ex-member or not, we have no doubt that this ballad and tears shed by her groupmates will make you emotional!

#4- FAVORITE - LIE
More than a year has passed since Favorite released "Loca" and made the whole K-pop world crazy about the song. Now they are finally back with "Lie" and we can't help but again fall for these girls! They didn't use the confirmed "Loca" formula, instead going explosive and, at the same time, refreshing with fierce looks but sweet and adorable voices. It sounds like success again, so give it a listen now!

#5- GLAY - INTO THE WILD
Are you ready to listen to some good J-rock? For those who don't know much about Glay, some information about the band: Takuro (the guitarist) and Teru (the singer) started making music together in 1988, when they were still high school students. At the time, they surely didn't expect that they'd soon become one of the best-selling bands in Japan. Thirty-two years later, Glay is still alive and kicking, and their new song, "Into The Wild", impresses us with its great display of vocals, perfectly-mastered instruments and its amazing music video that you can watch below!

#6- EYEDI - J.US.T
A new and aspiring star is on her way to capture our hearts! Eyedi might not have had a comeback in almost a year, but we never forgot her, and she made sure we never will with "J.us.t". This singer is famous for her retro sound, featured in this song too, but she gave it a new note with a shiny music video set and her calming voice. If you want a glimpse of retro in your playlist, we are sure you will add this song as soon as you hear it!

#7- DONGKIZ - LUPIN
The members of Dongkiz are back, and they're ready to make you dance! The rookie group is already making their second comeback of the year with their new digital single, "Lupin". If you're feeling a little down these days, the funky vibes of this song will be perfect to lift your mood up and make you forget all your worries. With such a solid release, Dongkiz proves once more that we were right to anticipate their return!

#8- PARK BO GUM - DEAR MY FRIEND
Park Bo Gum is ready to conquer your playlists and the Japanese music industry! After the success of his debut single "Bloomin" last year in the country, the Korean actor decided to release a full album titled "Blue Bird" on March 18. Its main track, "Dear My Friend", was uploaded on Youtube earlier this week —it is obviously sung in Japanese, and comes with a very touching music video that shows the incredible relationships we can start with other people. Who could remain insensitive in front of such cuteness?
