MONDAY:
#1- We start off the week with some exciting news! First, it's been announced that Momoland will be making their long-awaited comeback in November, with a track that iconic soloist PSY helped produce! Then on November 4th, Park Jihoon will be releasing his first full-length album titled Message. We are looking forward to all of these future releases!

#2- Now for debut news, BELIFT LAB has confirmed that ENHYPHEN is preparing for their debut in late November. Furthermore, MLD officially introduced their new boy group T1419 and its members; the group appears to have an extremely unique concept as the members are going by code numbers rather than the standard stage name. Unfortunately, with debuts come disbandments, boy group MASC has officially disbanded after four years. The group made this announcement on October 28th through their official YouTube Channel and thanked their fans for all of their support. We are extremely sad to see them go and wish all of the members the best!

#3- It's been announced that solo artist Crush will be having his military enlistment on November 12th. Pentagon's Hui will also be enlisting later this year, though on December 3rd. We are saddened by this news and will appreciate all the time we have left with them.

#4- MKITRAIN artists have been charged for illegal drug consumption. According to an article from Asia News Agency, five rappers and five acquaintances tested positive for marijuana usage. The MKTRAIN label is home to the artists Nafla, Loopy, Owen, and Bloo who were each involved in the incident.

#5- After dating rumours and controversy surrounding both Xia Zhiguang & Ren Hao, it was confirmed that despite rumours to the contrary, R1SE's Ren Hao would remain with the group following his dating and subsequent cheating rumours that came to light last week. Meanwhile, his groupmate, Xia Zhiguang issued an apology letter following his dating news. In this letter, the idol apologizes to his fellow members, fans, and those who were pulled into the situation. How do you feel about this controversy?

#6- Ex-Secret member Song Jieun has announced that she will be holding a global online concert 'UNTACT LIVE: BLOOM' on November 7th! Meanwhile, Stray Kids will be holding their own one, 'Unlock: GO LIVE IN LIFE' on November 22nd; but they won't be alone as on the same day, Oh My Girl will also be holding their concert named 'The Lost Memory'! Will you be attending any of them?

#7- Let's see what's happening in the world of television! First, it's been announced that OCN drama "Voice" will be airing its fourth season next year. Now some great news for Tangzhi, BonBon Girls will be airing their group variety show "BON-US" on October 35th on Tencent! We can not wait to watch both shows!

#8- MAC cosmetics has revealed that Blackpink's Lisa is their new global ambassador, she is the first female kpop idol to take on the title! In addition, rookie boy group Cravity has been chosen as the new model for BLACKROGUE in Asia! We congratulate both parties on these new opportunities!

TUESDAY:
#1- Supergroup Arashi will be releasing a lyric video for their new single Party Starters on October 20th, and a music video for the single on the anniversary of their debut, November 3rd! The song was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Sam Hollander who has worked with artists Katy Perry, One Direction, and Panic! at the Disco. Moreover, Former BESTie member Dahye will be making her first comeback as a soloist on November 3rd with a new single! We cannot wait to listen to both releases!

#2- Pentagon has taken their first win with new song Daisy, six years after their debut, on SBS' 'The Show'! We are extremely happy for the group and congratulate them on their achievement.

#3- MNET has announced that Owen will no longer appear or be a part of 'Show Me The Money 9' following his marijuana controversy. The channel has shared that footage of the rapper has been edited out from the show, including the episode that has already aired. Do you feel that these actions are warranted?

#4- It's time for all things film and television. We start off with JBTC releasing the lineup for their 'Knowing Bros' girl group special airing on October 22nd; it includes members from Lovelyz, MOMOLAND, GFRIEND, April, WJSN, Weki Meki, and (G)I-DLE! Sadly, Girls' Day Hyeri has confirmed she will be departing from TVN's 'Amazing Saturday - Doremi Market' in late November. Here's some news that may soften the blow, it's been announced that Taeyeon and SHINee's Key will make their return as fixed members on the show! Now for film news, 'Asadake!', a film starring Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari, has won the Best Asian Film Award at the '36th Warsaw International Film Awards'! We congratulate the film's team for receiving such a prestigious award!

#5- Some great news for I-Land fans, former contestant Hanbin announced that he will be holding an online fan meeting 'Hanbin! 100%' on October 20th! Continuing the fan meeting news, former X1 member Son Dongpyo will be holding his first solo one 'The Beginning' on November 8th! Then, later in the same month on November 29th, Pentagon will be holding an online concert 'WE: LIVE'. To finish off, Baek Jiyoung announced that she will be holding a nationwide tour 'Baek-Hug' throughout the month of December; so far it's been confirmed she'll be stopping at Busan, Gwangju, and Seoul, but more dates will be announced in the future! We are looking forward to all of these events!

#6- Former 2AM member and popular Icon Jo Kwon has officially opened a personal YouTube Channel, check out the linked thread to watch his teaser for the new channel! We are looking forward to all of his future content!

WEDNESDAY:
#1- GOT7's Youngjae found himself embroiled in a controversy, following the accusation that he assaulted a disabled student during high school. Quickly after the news spread, JYP Entertainment stepped in and started an investigation into the claim. Later that day, JYP Entertainment released a statement that said that while there was a discourse between Younjae and the student, the claims in the rumour are false. We are glad that JYPE clarified the issue quickly!

#2- CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa, Lee Jungshin, and Kang Minhyuk have all re-signed their contracts with FNC Entertainment; the trio also shared that they are planning to release a new album later this year! Now there is some sad news involving contracts. MyDoll Entertainment has announced that Sanga has departed from PinkFantasy and terminated her contract with the company due to personal reasons. She is sadly the fourth member to depart from the group. We wish her the best of luck with all of her future activities!

#3- Now some great news for Shawols everywhere, SHINee's Minho will be officially discharged from the military on November 15th! The idol was originally supposed to take his leave from his position in the Marine Corps on October 27th, but decided to stay for longer so he could help train his juniors. We are very excited for the idols' return!

#4- Johnny's Jr. Hidaka Ukisho will be making his movie debut in the live-action film 'Mune ga Naru no wa Kimi no Sei' opposite of Shiraishi Sei; the film will be released in 2021. #5- Following a number of OnlyOneOf external variety staff members testing positive for Covid-19 it was announced that all of the group members would be tested for the infection. The following day, it was announced that they had all tested negative and that the group would undergo self-quarantine for two weeks.

#6- Red Velvet's Irene found herself in hot water this week after it came to light that she had
verbally abused and berated a number of staff members when an editor that previously worked with the idol, detailed her experiences with Irene on her personal Instagram. Following this, Irene took to her own public Instagram account to apologize for the incident. As a reaction to this news, a number of prominent industry professionals from both Korea and China spoke up, some accusing the idol while others defending her. What are your thoughts on this? Does she deserve the criticism? Tell us below.

#7- JYP has announced their intentions to take
strong legal action against anyone found to be spreading malicious rumours about Got7's Youngjae. This comes following the bullying snd school violence accusation targeted at the idol, where it was found that while Youngjae did have disagreements with his former classmate, he had never committed school violence towards them. What are your thoughts on this action?

#8- Yuehua has announced that they will be working together with iQiyi to create a new C-pop survival show where three of their pre-debut groups (15 trainees in total) will be battling it out for a chance to make their debut. We hope to see them again soon.

#5- We also learned on Friday that B.I.G's Benji has left the group following the expiration of his contract with GH Entertainment.

#6- INFINITE's Dongwoo graced us with his presence this week following his discharge from mandatory military service on Friday. We welcome him back and await his return to the entertainment industry!

#7- Following the backlash on Thursday related to Irene's attitude controversy, it was reported that Red Velvet
would neither be participating nor attending the "K-Culture Festival 2020" due to these recent developments. The festival later confirmed that Red Velvet's appearance at the event had been cancelled.

SATURDAY:
#1- The October Kpop group brand rankings have been released. BTS have yet again proven their dominance of the #1 position, while BLACKPINK & NCT round out the top three positions.

#2- As a conclusion—at least in part—to Irene's recent attitude controversy, the stylist that sparked the initial outrage regarding the idol has
taken to Instagram following Irene's public apology to her, to clarify details related to her case—stating that it was not only her, but her entire team that was harassed and that she only spoke out in an effort to receive a sincere apology to both her and her team from Irene while hoping that issues like this won't happen again. Furthermore, she relayed her wish for the idols' fans to stop harassing her on SNS. Do you have an opinion on this issue?

#1- LOONA - WHY NOT?
Rising girl group LOONA made their second comeback of the year with mini-album "[12:00]" and title track Why Not?. The group is continuing with the sound of their release from February So What; with rap heavy verses, vocally driven pre-choruses, and the lack of a distinctive chorus. However, instead of a strong and in your face chorus with frequent vocal and rap adlibs, a bubblegum pop-like instrumental takes up the stage. The chorus does a complete 180 from the song's initial sound, with the addictive repetition of "Di-da, dum-di-dum, di-dum", and it shines even more in the post-chorus with the introduction of yet another addictive phrase "Ooh la la ah". The lyrics continue with a similar theme to So What, which expresses the idea that you should be yourself no matter what others think of you. If they see you as a bad girl, who cares? Overall, it's a very fun song but it is definitely one of the weaker tracks on the album. Speaking of the album, some highlights include Hide&Seek, which can be seen as a more cohesive version of Why Not? as it keeps the song's structure but adds musical variation; and the slower R&B influenced track Fall Again, which puts the girls' stunning vocals on display.

#2- B1A4 - LIKE A MOVIE
B1A4 made their long-awaited comeback after a three-year-long hiatus following 2017’s Rollin, with Like a Movie from their new full-length album ‘ORIGINE”! The group marked their return to the K-pop scene as a trio, with the noticeable absence of Jung Jinyoung, who was one of the main songwriters for the group. So, member CNU has taken a major role in songwriting for the majority of this album. Like A Movie is a delicate and mellow pop track that is reminiscent of a song you’d hear in a classic romance movie soundtrack. The verses are filled with strings and the members' soft singing blends extremely well into the song’s overall feel. Once we reach the chorus, it almost becomes a waltz, copying its abrupt and short style. This musical choice also makes the track sound magical, almost like a fairy tale. The balance of electro and softer instruments like a piano and acoustic guitar, aid in making the song sound compelling and refined. B1A4 wanted to make us feel like we were a part of a movie and that’s exactly what they did with this track. As for the album, it maintains the mellow and refined sound throughout its entirety while exploring different genres; some highlights include Zero Gravity featuring soloist BIBI and the absolutely funky TONIGHT.

#3- SEVENTEEN - HOME;RUN
Seventeen have made their second Korean comeback of the year—following the release of their Japanese album "24H" in late August—with Home;Run from their new special album titled “; [semicolon]”. The group takes a departure from Left&Right’s subdued nature for this release and instead heads towards a high energy sound. Home;Run is a jazz/swing-inspired pop song that focuses on uplifting its listeners through words of encouragement. The group crafts its sound by using some features of jazz, such as the brass that takes centre stage and rhythmic piano. All of this combined with the music video; which features the members scrambling to obtain a precious diamond, truly creates a musical-like experience. For this album, the group decided to release songs based on age lines (95, 96, 97, Maknae) rather than their usual units (vocal, dance, rap). This opened an opportunity for a lot of interesting combinations! Each song on the album is still largely jazz-inspired but with a genre change per song, some personal favourites include 97 line's Hey Buddy and 96 line's Light a Flame.

#4- MAMAMOO - DINGGA
Mamamoo is back with another earworm! The group released Dingga as a pre-release single for their upcoming album "Travel". It’s been a year since their last album "Reality in Black" and the single HIP, as the members have been focusing on solo promotions this year. Now they’ve all come together again and jumped on the retro trend with their newest release. Dingga begins with a funky guitar riff that continues throughout the song and adds to the slight disco sound. Mamamoo finds a way to insert their signature sound into the song through vocal verses filled with attitude and smooth rap verses that fit perfectly into the retro sound. Though the chorus lacks some variety, it is extremely catchy and one you’ll never get tired of hearing. The lyrics are quite depressing despite the song’s upbeat nature; the group focuses on the restlessness and lack of social interaction one has experienced throughout this pandemic, and their desire to reconnect. Once you listen to the song it’s almost impossible to stop replaying it. It’s definitely a great start to their new era!

#5- SEKAI NO OWARI - SILENT
Christmas has come early this year thanks to Sekai no Owari's new single release! The band has released their second single of the year Silent following May's Umbrella. Unlike their previous release, Silent holds back on the dark and moody atmosphere replacing it with a merry one instead. Though, the moodiness can still be found in the lyrics as it touches on longing for someone during the holidays. The pop-rock band incorporates a mixture of traditional instruments associated with the winter season such as sleighbells and chimes, and softer instruments like an acoustic guitar. Like many of their previous releases, the piano plays a major role in shaping the song's sound, here it is noticeably softer therefore fitting the mood perfectly. The instrument especially shines in the song's verses and bridge. The bells can be heard throughout the song and truly encapsulate the feelings of the season. The playful and carefree verses lead up to a powerful chorus driven by the perfect mixture of various percussion bells and strings, paired with Fukase's extremely emotive vocals. Sekai no Owari has created an amazing Christmas song, that contains many nostalgic sounds, but with the band's personal colour still heavily present.

#6- SNH48 - FUTURE
SNH48 has returned for the first time since their general elections with Future, from their latest EP "F.L.Y". Future, as a track, contains the vocal talents of all 16 of the "Next Girls" (SNH48 Group members who ranked between #33 - #48 during the latest general election). The group tells you to look towards the Future by focusing on your school life, as they, just like a number of high school students prepare to undertake exams to assess and relay their progress in school. The song itself, while not as addictive as their previous release Beautiful Day, offers us a more melancholy feeling but sounds inspirational because of the instrumental, which will leave you wanting to be just as successful at your studies as they are in the accompanying music video.

#7- NMB48 - KOI NANKA NO THANK YOU!
NMB48 have returned this week with another amazing single titled Koi Nanka No Thank You! which acts as the graduation single for long-time member Yoshida Akari, who is one of the last 1st generation members remaining in the group. This song is amazing in its composition—relying on orchestral instrumentals one minute, only to switch it up the very next moment with the addition of an electric guitar solo—but unlike a number of releases that often fall flat from a genre switch, the genre change in Koi Nanka No Thank You! sounds natural and blends together perfectly in a way that will have you coming back, again and again, to listen to it on repeat. With this being Yoshida Akari's final release with the group, she has taken the designated centre position giving her a final time to shine before she says goodbye to group activities and hello to a new solo career!

#6- Now moving on to Japan, we have two new achievements to announce!
