Welcome to this week's edition of ICYMI! Once more this week is a little bit special for us, as our song recommendations
were written by two of our newest recruits - you will be able to spot their name under the title of the portion! I (Galaxy)
would like to thank everyone involved in the writing of this edition, as this week was really hectic in terms of news.
Without further ado, I'll let you start reading the article, and we all hope you will enjoy it!

MONDAY:
#1- Super Junior officially announced their comeback for October 14th! The group will be releasing their 9th full album titled ‘Time_Slip’, with the title
track ‘SUPER Clap’. We’re all very excited about the group’s release!
#2- Victon’s new leader Seungsik confirmed that the group would be making their comeback in late October or early November. We’re anticipating
their long-awaited return!
#3- October continues to be amazing because we finally have an official date for the group ONF’s comeback! The boys will be releasing their 4th mini-album
‘Go Live’ on October 7th. We are very much looking forward to it!
#4- Hani will be making her acting debut in the movie ‘The Elders Don’t Know’! The idol has also chosen to promote with her real name, Ahn Hee Yoon. She
should be one of the female leads, and the movie is expected to be released between late 2019 and early 2020.
#5- Sonamoo’s Nahyun and Sumin have filed to terminate their contract with TS Entertainment. They reportedly started the process in May of 2019 and have
not received a response from TS. The reason behind this lawsuit was their lack of comebacks. It is sad to see them go but we wish them both the best!
#6- JYPE released an official statement explaining that Twice's Mina wouldn't participate in the group's promotional activities for their new album, despite the
fact that she recorded for the songs and filmed "Feel Special"'s music video. We are glad that Mina is being given all the time she needs to recover.
TUESDAY:
#1- It was announced on Tuesday that BTOB’s Illhoon will be stepping down from his Idol Radio DJ role at the end of September. We are very sad to see him
leave and we will miss him!
#2- Now, we have some great news! Starting this week (September 27th), KBS will prohibit fans from recording artists on their way to work on Music Bank.
This decision was made in order to prevent accidents and to protect artists’ portrait rights. Only approved media and KBS will be allowed to take pictures.
#3- Following the controversy occurring with Sonamoo’s former members, Nahyun and Sumin, TS Entertainment officially released a statement. TSE claims
their lawsuit was sudden and never discussed, even with the remaining members. Consequently, the company plans on taking legal actions against the former
members. Sonamoo will continue to promote as a 5-member group.
#4- Victon's maknae Jung Subin joined that cast of upcoming TVN drama, 'Psychopath Diary'! We're looking forward to his appearance on the new show!
#5- Rookie girl group Everglow took their first music show win with title track 'Adios'! The group won first only by a close 11 points. We are very proud and
happy for them!
WEDNESDAY:
#1- On Wednesday, we learned that Monsta X was reportedly busy filming their comeback music video in Los Angeles! It looks like the group is preparing for
an October or November comeback, and we are looking forward to the release!
#2- SME and Capitol Music boy group SuperM is confirmed to hold its debut showcase in Hollywood on October 5th. The showcase will be airing live worldwide through YouTube so fans have the opportunity to watch too! If you happen to live in the area, the showcase is even open to the public!
#3- Two big pieces of news about international superstars BTS dropped on this day. First, Paul McCartney reacted to the group singing 'Hey Jude' on The Late
Show with Stephen Cobert! The group must be extremely happy about the acknowledgment of such a legend. And secondly, the group has opened an official
TIkTok channel! We can't wait to see what interesting content they drop in there!
#3- Unfortunately, SKE48's Matsui Jurina announced that she is going on hiatus again due to poor health. The idol will also not be updating her social media;
however, her solo album will be released as scheduled according to SKE48's official website. Get well soon, Jurina!
THURSDAY:
#1- The day started with terrible news, as actor Song Young Hak has passed away at the age of 46. He was known for his many projects such as 'My Fellow
Citizens', 'The Fiery Priest', 'Lovely Horribly', and 'Prison Playbook'. We send our condolences to his loved ones and may he rest in peace.
#2- Mystic Story announced that BEG (Brown Eyed Girls) have recently finished recording their new album! It also states they have plans to comeback in
October; adding to the growing list of comebacks for the month. We are looking forward to the long-anticipated release!
#3- Girl duo Limesoda is now a trio! Their new member, Jangmi, will participate in their comeback activities, starting on October 4th. Best of luck to her!
#4- Rapper Don Millis has been sentenced to two years of probation for purposely trying to gain weight to avoid active duty enlistment. The sentence will
turn into a year in prison if he violates the conditions of his probation. We can all agree that it wasn't the smartest idea...
#5- LA Dodgers pitcher Ryu Hyun Jin and announcer Bae Ji Hyun are expecting their first child! We would like to congratulate them, and we hope the
pregnancy will go smoothly!
FRIDAY:
#1- Ladies' Code dropped a spoiler video for their next comeback! In this teaser, you can see the girls answering questions that reference past title tracks.
The group leaves us with a mysterious message in Morse Code. We are very much looking forward to their anticipated release!
#2- Rookie group CIX will be making their first Korean comeback in November. After their spectacular debut, we are anticipating their return!
#3- Some exciting and fast news was the announcement of BTS' J-Hope's collaboration with Becky G on the song "Chicken Noodle Soup", that was released on
Friday! The group is also nominated for the 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for "Boy With Luv" (feat. Halsey) at the Grammy Awards 2020! We wish
them the best of luck and congratulations on the entry!
#4- Japanese pop duo Chemistry revealed that, after 7 years of wait, they would be releasing their new album! While we are looking forward to their comeback,
JPOP fans also received some bad news: on their official website, Paellas announced that they would be disbanding after their final concert. The concert will
take place on December 13th and is named 'The last show'. We wish all the members the best of luck in their future endeavors.
#5- Following the initial announcement of FT Island's Lee Hongki enlisting, we were given an official date on Friday: Hongki will join the military on
September 30th, but not before having a small greeting with fans. He is not the only one to leave for the army very soon: Block B's B-Bomb will be enlisting on
October 10th. Before that, the idol will release a new single titled "Finale" on October 4. May both of them serve safely!
#6- News of celebrities getting married also dropped on this day: MBLAQ's G.O and Choi Ye Seul have officially tied the knot, and actress Kim Tae Hee's
younger brother, actor Lee Wan, will be marrying professional golfer Lee Bo Mee in December. Congratulations to the lovely couples!
#7- Soloist Park Jihoon has announced his official colors, which are Spring Bouquet, Lemon Tonic, and Peach Pink! The fandom has truly been blessed with
the prettiest colors!
SATURDAY:
#1- CLC will be dropping their first full-length album in 2020! We are happy to hear we'll be given even more wonderful music from the group! Why can't
2020 come sooner?
#2- Kang Daniel is truly prospering: the idol is now the face of Subway Korea! He will be promoting their signature wraps and the new CF featuring the idol
will be released on October 1st!
#3- EXID's Solji has opened a personal Youtube account! The name of the channel is Soul_G and even has English subs on her first video! Make sure to give
her newest video a watch. We are excited about her future content!
SUNDAY:
#1- Good news for ITZY's fans: as announced by the brand itself, the group will be attending Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2020 Fashion Show in Paris on
October 1! Only a few months after their debut, the girls are now establishing their power as fashion icons!

#1- TWICE / FEEL SPECIAL
After a comeback like "Fancy", you'd think no song would be able to rival it. "Feel Special" though has really shown how Twice never disappoints! The song
dropped on Monday and it comes with an amazing aesthetic music video full of beautiful scenes and outfits. Be sure to watch the stages for this song, because
their choreography is better than it's ever been before! As their lyrics say, know that there will always be people who see you as someone "special"!
#2- TVXQ / GUILTY
It's been a while since TVXQ has had a comeback, but the wait was worth it for this song! "Guilty", their new Japanese release, is the definition of a stellar song,
with unique beats, quality verses, and an aesthetic music video to boot! If you haven't heard this song yet, go listen to it now or you'll feel guilty for not hearing
it sooner!
#3- AKDONG MUSICIAN / HOW CAN I LOVE THE HEARTBREAK, YOU'RE THE ONE I LOVE
Akdong Musician never fails to show off their stunning vocals. In their new ballad "How can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love," that was released
on Wednesday, Chanhyuk and Suhyun's soothing voices melt together. The song perfectly describes the way a heartbreak can make you feel broken, which
many songs aspire to do. This is a song I know many will keep in their playlist for a long time, so you should definitely give it a listen!
#4- JACKSON WANG / BULLET TO THE HEART
Jackson came back on Tuesday with a concept that feels very new for Got7 or any of its members. A dark asylum, with him trapped inside. You might be
skeptical, after all, can you really enjoy a song with this kind of concept? But do not worry, "Bullet To The Heart" is so unique and addictive, even after just
one listen. You'll probably never see anything like this again!
#5- J-HOPE FEAT. BECKY G / KADO WO MAGARU
Legendary Chicken Noodle Soup song is back, courtesy of BTS' J-Hope and Spanish singer Becky G! This modified version contains lyrics in three languages:
Korean, English, and Spanish. J-Hope's unique rapping style and Becky G's distinguishable voice color leaves us hoping for future collaborations between the two
of them. Fans had great fun watching the two dance and joke around a parking lot, and we are sure you will enjoy it too!
#6- JESSI / WHO DAT B
Queen Jessi is killing us with another outstanding comeback! It hasn't been that long since her last song, but here she is again with her charisma, rapping skills
and her powerful choreography for her new song "Who Dat B.", which was released on Monday. The music video expertly shows off Jessi's visuals and dance
moves, making sure that you won't forget any of it anytime soon!
#7- SUPER JUNIOR / THE CROWN
Did you enjoy "Somebody New", the special song released by Super Junior last week? If the answer is yes, you will be happy to learn that the group didn't stop
there and dropped a new track called "The Crown" on Friday! This addictive banger, completely different from "Somebody New", perfectly showcases each
member's skills, especially when it comes to the main vocalists (Yesung, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun). Get ready to listen to it on repeat!
#8- SHIBUTANI SUBARU / BOKU NO UTA
All-rounded Japanese star Shibutani Subaru is finally making his long-awaited comeback! Prior to his album release (on October 9th), the ex-Kanjani8 member
dropped his new single "Boku No Uta"on Thursday. Public and fans are delighted to hear some rock-ish blues vibes that Subaru served, with guitar sounds greatly
accompanying his unique vocals. While preparing for his album release, we hope you will enjoy some blues as we do!
#9- SANDEE CHAN (FEAT. TROUTFRESH)/ BE AN EXTRAORDINARY PERSON
We can always trust Sandee Chan to touch our hearts with her mellow heartfelt voice and deep, beautiful lyricism! The Taiwanese singer and songwriter stayed
loyal to her colors and pairing up with TroutFresh to bless us with this beautiful but heartbreaking ballad called "Be An Extraordinary Person". Even though
she sings about loneliness, we can clearly feel comfort in her words. The song perfectly suits the season and we hope you will enjoy it!

#1 - The week started off with a bang as Mamamoo's Hwasa's debut music video "Twit" reached 50 million views on YouTube! We look forward to more of her
future achievements as a solo artist.
#2 - TWICE's "Feel Special" is the powerful release of the week! First, it broke their personal record for first-day sales and sold 60,000 copies, 50% more than
their previous album "Fancy You"! As the week closes, "Feel Special" also dethrones "Fancy You" as the highest-selling album in the first week for a K-Pop girl
group! It has now sold more than 154,000 copies!
Last but not least, it also became their first album to hit #1 on the U.S. iTunes album chart, joining Red Velvet as the only K-Pop girl groups to achieve this feat.
#3 - Along with "Feel Special" breaking personal records, the music video of its predecessor "Fancy" has also hit 200 million views, making it the 10th music video
of the group to reach this milestone. And it reached this in only 155 days!
#4 - "Queendom" covers are doing well: AOA's version of Mamamoo's "Egotistic" is still well-loved by fans as it hits 20,000 hearts on MelOn, 2 weeks since its release!
As for Oh My Girl's cover of Lovelyz's "Destiny", it has now reached 21,000 hearts!
#5 - In a week full of digital behemoths like Bolbbalgan4 and Paul Kim, AKMU was able to achieve a Realtime All-Kill with "How Can I Love The Heartbreak,
You're The One I Love", and they did so in only their 2nd hour on the charts!
Only three days after the song's release, AKMU also got a Certified All-Kill in iChart! Will they be the third artist this year to get a Perfect All-Kill?
#6 - One of the songs that catapulted BTS's success, "Blood Sweat and Tears", has now finally surpassed 500 million views, making it their 5th music video to
do so. It's what an iconic song deserves!
It was also reported that "Love Yourself: Answer" has earned more than 1 million equivalent album units in the U.S. making it eligible for a Platinum
certification! They are now the first-ever Korean artist to be eligible for a Platinum certification from the RIAA!
Along with "Love Yourself: Answer", sources hint that BTS's "Love Yourself: Tear" has earned 639,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. making
it eligible for a Gold certification!
#7 - The music video for BTS's J-hope's "Chicken Noodle Soup" ft. Becky G recorded more than 21 million views in the first 24 hours, making it the most viewed
music video in 24 hours by a Korean soloist after Psy's "Gentleman"! It is also now the most viewed music video in 24 hours ever since YouTube enacted its
new policy.
#8 - Dreamcatcher proves that they truly are rising stars as the music video for "You and I" has reached 10 million views, making it their first music video
to do so. We look forward to more of their music videos reaching this milestone!
#9 - After more than 20 reported shows, Blackpink's world tour has now officially become the highest-grossing tour by a K-pop girl group of all time!
Their total revenue is now at $32.2M with 12 dates yet to be reported.
Blackpink also continues their domination over YouTube as their latest music video "Kill This Love" has now reached 600 million views on the platform!
