Is it just me or is there much less hype for this season of produce 101 than previous seasons?

I didn't really see a lot of people talking about it. Not on OH or here or anywhere else. In fact not one performance on YT has been recommended to me so far.

How well is it doing in SK?

People are bound to get bored from the same formula. I usually always just watch 1 season of some casting show and then am super bored of it, so am actually surprised produce has still enough viewers.

i think you're right but i think it's doing ok in korea? like definitely not doing bad. i think it's less popular with international fans? anyways i don't think the debuting group will flop but will do decently.

its definitely still have some hype in korea, but im not sure if it has the same hype internationally, personally I feel the final line up will do well or atleast wont consider it flop/failure.

i got bored of the same concept for shows but it's a bit much to call them a flop since the nation will back the final group anyway

It doesn't help that OH hasn't worked properly since the show started. I'm on the subreddit for the show and there's a fair amount of hype there. But it's true that there haven't been those iconic moments typical for a produce season.

ngl, i am less hyped with this 37482th produce. i think it's mostly because they bombard us with new kids every year or so.

Noticed that too - I think this always happens with reality shows of this type, regardless of even viewers? Like both American Idol and the Voice stopped minting actual successful acts even when people were still watching religiously. It becomes less hype and more just a comfort food show. The group will do well probably in SK like the current but maybe won't get the traction W1 did.

I think for me I'm getting way older than some of the people on the show. Like the center for this season looked super young which turned me off a bit(because he makes me feel super old lol). There are some people this season that are my age or around it, but they aren't doing as well.

That being said I still watch the performances on Youtube. I haven't really seen anything spectacular this season. No avengers team or justice league team, no Bang Bang or Shape of You dances. It's not bad but nothing special for me.

Also, seeing the injustice that happened to Midam really turned me off.

because this season is boring to put it simply, the edit is boring, the trainees are boring, there's not that much truly talented trainees

also rating wise it's doing the worst out of the 4 seasons, it says a lot. i just hope yuvin will be able to escape the final group because i need a myteen comeback this year
