One of Lee Jieun's lesser hits, but her most internationally relevant song, is BBiBBi.

She only sang one song on 2018, and BBiBBI, an R&B song sung in the style of Cardi B, proved to be her biggest international hit. It still lingers in the top 100 most viewed kpop video list, and is expected to remain that way for 2021 because about 200,000 people still watch it daily. (Many of the others are older songs with fewer viewers, so it has found some kind of balance to remain in the rungs)

Because of BBiBBi, it became hard to say that IU contributed nothing to KPop, because although BBiBBi is her only Kpop song to date and is expected to remain so, we cannot argue that IU made ZERO contribution to KPop. However tiny the contribution might be, she did make a contribution to KPop.

Because of BBiBBi, IU has become a KPop singer although she fought against it all her life. Life is full of ironies, and a nonKpopper whose entire life was a big detriment to KPop's growth is recorded as a KPop singer. I do not see any parallels in history about it.

Will there be another contribution from KPop's Least Useful Singer to KPop? I don't know.

But because of BBiBBi, the singer who has contributed the least to KPop's world conquest will be recorded as a KPop singer.
