POEM Looking for salvation beneath the sand

[I and U]

My dreams are my shadows
Always following me, always wanting my attention
An attention to detail
trying to derail the train of man made butchery
As I breathe in and out
I feel a stalker about
Although in my head
I still feel fresh blood on my hands
siren's whisper false hymns
wanting me to destroy
a beast that was whole once
Now deeply departed
into my slumber and mood changes
Bring it out in full wrath and a hunger to feed
of what's left of my humanity
Shackles bound me
bound my dreams and hopes
A soap opera of horror
Need I forget my place in the timeline
Need I remember the urge to kill and create rot
