The official blog for voice actress/singer Megumi Hayashibara (Ranma Saotome in Ranma 1/2, Rei Ayanami in Neon Genesis Evangelion) announced on January 11 that her new best album to celebrate her debut's 30th-anniversary year is set to be released in Japan on March 30, 2021, her 54th birthday.

She began her career as a full-fledged solo singer in March 1991 with her first single from King record, "Nijiiro no Sneaker," and has been regarded as one of the most successful anime voice actors who established the "voice actor artist" genre. She has released 42 singles, 14 original albums, and five best albums in her 30-year activities as a solo singer under her own name. The yet-titled three-disc anniversary edition new best album will include many classic songs of hers, as well as newly-recorded songs.

Her blog also confirmed that her next 43rd single including the OP and ED theme songs for the upcoming reboot TV anime based on Hiroyuki Takei's Shaman King manga is set to be released on April 14, 2021. She performed the OP and ED theme song for the first Shaman King TV anime aired in 2001-2002, and is confirmed to reprise her role as the main heroine Anna Kyoyama.
