I agree with everyone else, this is going to get really messy. I have no idea of how/why they think they can just break things off things easily and quit tomorrow. Don’t they have to win a court case first?

Especially if they want to set a precedent for breach of trust as a reason for ending a contract, I’m a bit baffled by how easy they think leaving will be.

All I see is a potential lawsuit in the making for HYBE. I'm not on their side, but easy money is easy money. And when you're a conglomerate like they are, it'll be easy to drag this suit out for months or years at a time. Plus they have to cave to the demands of their investors.

As for NewJeans, I hope they can quickly get out of this situation, one way or another, as I don't want to see them end up in legal limbo as B.A.P did during their extended hiatus due to the suit against TS.

Good luck for them, it was impossible for them to stay with ADOR/HYBE so leaving is the least worse thing to do.

They probably hope to get out without paying too much and to keep their brand but unless they have strong evidences it will be difficult.

Apparently during the press conferenced when asked if they were canceling their contract the legal way they couldn’t give a straight answer.

Hybe is trash, but I feel like we honestly need to see more official info/statements come out before we know if NJ is 100% leaving and what penalties there will or will not be.

I’m seeing a lot of Tokki’s say on Twitter that NJ can legally leave with no penalty and with all of their trademarks and rights, but I think it’s WAYYYYY to early to know this.

They're going to court for sure. Hybe wouldn't have created a contract that makes it easy for an entire group to leave. Its a shame things came down to this but both sides will have to prove why they are right and it will be a mess.

Yeah, I just saw something similar to that too from Tokkis.

But, if we KNOW anything, it's that Bang is petty and vengeful. So, I'm nervous for them.
