NMB48's management agency Yoshimoto Kogyo just announced the groups first ever love simulation game. "NMB48 Koitako" is a mobile game in which the player can choose between a selection of members to date and it has some sort of food or restaurant theme. The current line up seems to be 16 members including Shibuya Nagisa, captain Kojima Karen, center Umeyama Cocona and graduating member Namba Hinata.
The group posted a video trailer for the game
and opened official accounts on social media.
There's always a lot of criticism (and rightfully so) about how K-pop caters to the fantasies of a lot of losers who think they have a chance of getting with their favourite idols, but I think J-pop just takes it to the next level. The kinda stories I've heard just make me feel sorry for some of those idols.

Some J-pop groups make it more obvious but the percentage of fans with delusions like that is probably higher in K-pop imo. Otoh J-pop idols dating fans is more common because their agencies don't have as much control and J-idols are not marketed the same way. There's always a lot of criticism (and rightfully so) about how K-pop caters to the fantasies of a lot of losers who think they have a chance of getting with their favourite idols, but I think J-pop just takes it to the next level.
