November 22, 2024 (Seoul, South Korea):
Big Bang laeder and global trailblazing icon of K-pop, G-Dragon, made his triumphant return to music with “POWER” last month (out via Galaxy Corporation / EMPIRE). His first solo release in seven years. The single was met with vast acclaim from publications such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, E! Online, NME, Vogue, L’Officiel, Cosmopolitan, and many more, plus the covers of more than a dozen Global New Music Friday playlists. The music video was also #4 trending on YouTube within hours of its release.
Today, the soloist has come back with a new single, 'HOME SWEET HOME' alongside fellow BIG BANG members Taeyang & Daesung. As pioneers of the K-pop movement, BIGBANG’s unmatched influence on the global rise of the genre and its modern foundation is underscored by their early success in accumulating billions of streams and chart-topping records. The mid-tempo song explores pop-rock soundscapes, delivering a poignant message of reconnection and continuity. The record gives fans a sense of nostalgia as they sing of picking up where they left off with lyrics like “I said I would be back / I’d never let you go”. Listen to “HOME SWEET HOME” HERE. G-Dragon, known for his artistic innovation and cultural impact, will also perform at the MAMA Awards in Osaka, Japan, on November 23, marking his first performance at the prestigious event in nine years.
G-Dragon, born Kwon Ji-Yong, hails from Seoul, South Korea and has been a prominent figure in the global music and K-Pop since the age of 13. His solo musical success includes his first two albums Heartbreaker and COUP D’ETAT reaching the top of Korea’s Gaon chart. His debut EP, One of a Kind, topped the Billboard World Album Chart and 2017’s self-titled EP KWON JI YONG also topped the Billboard World Albums chart and Japan's Oricon digital chart – making him the first Korean artist to do so.
G-Dragon has over 2 billion career streams and musically worked with the likes of Diplo, Baauer, Missy Elliott, Boys Noize, Sky Ferreira, and Skrillex. He’s won World's Best Album at the 2014 World Music Awards and has been on magazine covers and pages of Elle Korea, Harper’s Bazaar Korea, Vogue Korea, Hypebeast, and more. G-Dragon has since forayed into fashion with his own coveted streetwear apparel brand called PEACEMINUSONE, shot for campaigns with Chanel, Nike, and BMW, and named to the Business of Fashion 500 list. G-Dragon also expanded into art, having been named to ArtNet’s Top 200 Art Collectors list in 2019 and he was a part of Frieze Seoul’s Now & Next artist series last year. This year, he is creating a perfume in collaboration with French perfumer Frédéric Malle, and launched JUSPEACE which is a charity foundation to combat drug abuse in South Korea.

BoyWithUke: 2025 Burnout World Tour
Additionally, we have two tour announcements to share with our readers today! It's been shared that two artists -- NIKI & BoyWithUke -- will both be headlining tours in Australia next March.
Korean-American soloist and alt-pop producer BoyWithUke will be adding an Australian leg to his Burnout World Tour. The soloist will additionally be touring across Europe, Asia, and the United States during early 2025.
This tour will also be the final time that Charley Yang will perform under the mysterious moniker -- BoyWithUke -- which has taken him from his bedroom and across the world! The soloist will begin his tour in Liberty Hall, Sydney on the 19th of March, before heading to Northcote Theatre, Melbourne on the 20th of March, Fortitude Music Hall, Brisbane on March 21, and wrapping up at Astor Theatre, Perth on the 24th of March.
The tour dates are as follows:
+ March 19 | LIBERTY HALL, SYDNEY
+ March 20 | NORTHCOTE THEATRE, MELBOURNE
+ March 21 | FORTITUDE MUSIC HALL, BRISBANE
+ March 24 | ASTOR THEATRE, PERTH
NIKI: 2025 Buzz World Tour
88rising-associated soloist NIKI will also be bringing her tour to Australia next year in March. When asked about her upcoming tour dates the Jakarta-born LA-based soloist shared: “My Asia and Australia fans have been patiently waiting, and I am excited to finally announce the Buzz World Tour official dates and venues. I am so proud of this show and can’t wait to share it with everyone,”
Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Tuesday the 26th of November at 1 pm (AEST). For NIKI, things have been happening progressively since she was a high schooler in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a student at an international academy, she cut her teeth scribbling lovesick poems in English class and performed acoustic guitar covers of American pop songs on YouTube. With a six-string in hand, and her family and classmates cheering her on from the audience, Nicole Zefanya then staked her claim to global stardom as NIKI.
And claim it she has - with over three billion streams worldwide, sold out shows on multiple continents, massive sets at festivals across the globe, front row seats at Paris Fashion Week, four songs on a Marvel film’s soundtrack, and some of the most phenomenal, confessional songs being released in 2024, NIKI has already established a veteran’s resume before the age of 25.
The tour dates are as follows:
+ March 5 | RED HILL AUDITORIUM, PERTH
+ March 7 | RIVERSTAGE, BRISBANE
+ March 9 | HORDERN PAVILION, SYDNEY
+ March 13 | SIDNEY MYER MUSIC BOWL, MELBOURNE
