Rose’s solo delayed for another month. Fans: A wise move to avoid IU’s comeback

Early in January, YG has already announced the MV for Rose’s solo album had completed filming. Many BLACKPINK fans are eagerly waiting for the new solo queen’s debut. Shockingly, just after YG’s earlier-than-expected announcement, Rose’s solo plan was surprisingly pushed back!
Many fans started to complain online about YG’s habit to delay album releases, and many showed disappointments in YG. In early 2018, YG ex-CEO Yang Hyun-suk had promised fans that BLACKPINK will each have their time to shine. Unexpectedly, after numerous push-back, Rose’s new solo is missing in action once again. So why did YG decided to delay Rose’s new album again? Let’s analyze together!
First, YG originally thought January is a low season for the Kpop music industry because companies finished their year-end race for profits in November and December. Also, SM and JYP’s idol groups typically choose to rest during Korean New Year. Therefore, the beginning of the year was thought to be the perfect time for YG to dominate the market.
Unfortunately, if Rose decided to release her album at the end of January, she would have to directly compete with IU in the music market. And regarding IU’s influence and past market performance, we probably won’t have to say too much.
Under these unfortunate circumstances, YG decided to push back for a month. This means Rose’s solo album will be officially released in March. Normally, it is quite rare in the music industry to release an initial teaser and then release the new album more than a month later.
But this also established YG’s determination in Rose’s success, as the company wishes for this BLACKPINK main vocalist to perform well in the market. Perhaps some will ask, will there be guaranteed success for Rose’s album simply by pushing back a month?
Looking at the current market condition, at least in the female solo market, YG does have the advantage in choosing to let Rose debut in March. Because there are many female solo artists returning in February, such as HyunA and Chungha. If she can avoid this period of time, Rose will have a clear advantage in the music market in March. As such, if fans just have some patience, surely YG will give us all a satisfying response.
If you are a BLACKPINK fan and you like Rose, then let us all eagerly anticipate her March album! Considering the number of BLACKPINK fans and the group’s strong reputation in the overseas market, Rose’s album can potentially reach new heights in sales. Don’t forget, after Rose’s solo debut, we also have Lisa’s solo waiting for us! Which solo album do you look forward to the most?

YG always does the wrong. Give us Rose'
So sad they still think of their artists as a product and not a person in 2021.

djdsljs been ages since i've seen this
Katniss
IdolIt's more than 2 years since Jennie's debut. Hope it won't be the same for Jisoo and Lisa.
They could have easily done a solo between KTL and HYLT. Still don't understand why they didn't, but guess that's YG.
