Scandal (Japanese: スキャンダル, Sukyandaru, stylized as SCANDAL)

formed in 2006 they are a 4 piece all female band from osaka, the members are:

HARUNA ONO (vocalist and rhythm guitar)
MAMI SASAZAKI (vocalist, lead guitarist)
TOMOMI OGAWA (vocalist,bassist)
RINA SUZUKI (vocalist, drummer)

coming from different prefectures of Japan they met in Osaka vocal and dance school CALESS.
initially called “girlsband” they changed their name to スキャンダル and later to Scandal
their name was inspired by a sex shop that was in front of the studio they rented to practice
they have a pretty diverse discography, from rock to metal to pop to edm they are always doing something different
despite being called SCANDAL they never have a scandal themselves :doge:

URGgHtM.jpg

they started to play live shows in public spots every weekend until they were noticed by a small label called kittyrecords
they released multiple indie singles until 2008 when they signed with EPIC records and have their major debut with "DOLL"
they gained some international prominence after they recorded the opening of full metal alchemist and later of bleach
they have their 10 anniversary in 2016 and celebrated with a world tour, in 2019 they leave their company to fund their own label "her"

they compose almost all of the music and lyrics they play, the exceptions are their first few singles
they have a massive catalog of music, 200+ songs and counting, they usually release an album almost every year or atleast a few singles

Q86. Please tell us what music you regularly listen to and your favorite band.
Recently, I've been listening to Awesome City Club often. When I want to get excited, it has to be Foo Fighters.

Q87. What one thing would you say makes you angry about TOMOMI?
She drops things too often or loses them too often.

Q88. How long did it take for you to become good at performing?
I still don't think I'm that good. Days of only practicing......

Q89. What books did you read when you were little? What's a book you've read recently?
I read the manga 『What's Michael?』and 『BONOBONO』 when I was little. Something I've read recently is Ozaki Sekaikan-san's 『』.

Q90. You said 「I don't want to stand out」, but your guitar solos and actions have been showy. What's the reason you've been able to do that?
We've always been aiming to 「move as much as possible during a live」 since the band started. My body now moves naturally.

Q91. What is your favorite song from each album? [Both the question and answer were written in English]
『BEST★SCANDAL』: 「SCANDAL BABY」
『TEMPTATION BOX』: 「Hello!Hello!」
『BABY ACTION』: 「Sparkling」
『Queens are trumps -Kirifuda wa Queen-』: 「Bitter Chocolate」
『STANDARD』: 「Brand new wave」
『HELLO WORLD』: 「Image」
『YELLOW』: 「SUKI-SUKI」
But I like all songs!

Q92. Any tricks for students taking exams?
Self-suggest to yourself 「I can do it, I'll be able to do it, I'll do it, I'll pass!」

Q93. What have you been been most glad about since forming SCANDAL?
Being able to be myself.

Q94. What have you been addicted to recently?
I'm addicted again to Candy Crush.

Q95. What is your favorite sweet right now?
Roll cake from the convenience store.

Q96. Which prefecture do the members all want to go to?
A place we've always been talking about wanting to all go to is an onsen (hot springs). So, we'd start first with a nearby place, Hakone in Kanagawa Prefecture. We'll be able to go soon; we'll go.

Q97. What's the biggest horror story so far of your life?
When I got my first cell phone in my first year of middle school and went a little crazy, the monthy charge was several tens of thousands of yen. My family was furious.

Q98. What recent purchase have you been glad about?
An Imabari bath towel. Drying off with something fluffy every time I bathe feels great! By the way, there's also an Imabari towel in our goods line-up.

Q99. What is it like when you take lead vocals during a live?
I'm beyond nervous, but every time I try challenging myself a bit to sing it differently than on the CD and change the guitar strokes.

Q100. What do you do when you move your fingers while playing guitar?
Isn't practicing fingering (move your index finger to each of the frets on strings 1 or 6, try out things you find online) the quickest way to improve? I can't really do it fast either...... Also, when you warm yourself up in a bath, I think stretching and extending the space between your fingers would be good for people with small hands!

Contemporary artists SCANDAL talk about their outlook on work and love

RdUbf0X.jpg

10 years ago. Those of the same generation accessed [the Japanese social networking site] mixi with their sparkly, decorated flip phones; wore sheepskin boots in the winter; and reminds us of the good-looking guys in the drama "ROOKIES"... There weren't many people who looked up to SCANDAL, an actual high school all-girl band who wore school uniforms like us while singing. It's been 10 years since then. The girls have become adults together with us. This is JJnet's first interview with these girls who have reached the jucture in their lives of celebrating the 10th anniversary of their major label debut. For our first meeting, we had them talk about their current state of mind that had them taking on new challenges, as well as their current love lives.

First, let's review the members of SCANDAL!

SCANDAL is a four-piece all-girl band who had their major label debut in 2008 with 『DOLL』. The following year, their song 『Shoujo S』 was nominated for Best New Artist at the Japan Record Awards. In recent years, they have garnered attention as fashion icons, and currently produce their own apparel brand called 「Feedback!」.

Our jobs = the band. Having a job doing what you love really is a lot of fun
HARUNA: We made our major label debut wearing school uniforms, and last year was its 10th anniversary. As both we and the band have gotten older, we established our new record label "her." When we were on the verge of our 10th anniversary, we had vague thoughts of wanting to do something new, and something we could be excited for. We naturally came to the idea of "Let's make music in a new environment!"

RINA: We established a new label because we wanted to challenge ourselves in a positive way in order to make even newer music, and make it more freely than ever before. We went ahead with preparations while feeling excited.

TOMOMI: We were able to do what we loved for work, so, looking back, it really has been a lot of fun.

RINA: Music has always been the center of our lives ever since we were middle and high school students. We've always kept at it because we love it, and it feels like that's supported us. Of course, there were also times when we couldn't write lyrics, and times when nothing was going right... Even so, we couldn't give up because the band is important to us. That's why I think that there are so many things we've been able to see because we've been continuing to work hard in our teens and 20s.

If we have plans for both work and with a boyfriend, we'll choose work. In the future we want to be a band even when we're parents

MAMI:
When we talk to each other privately, we often talk about work and about our songs (laughs).

RINA: We mainly talk about work, but we do talk about all kinds of things. Stuff like, "Where have you gone recently in private?", and about love. Since we all live close to each other, we often meet up at nearby cafes.

MAMI: We can't stop talking when we meet up. We also talk the entire way back home (laughs). We talk about things we can sympathize with because we're band members, like work and love. I personally talk about work the most, though...

RINA: That's probably the same for all of us.

MAMI: For example, even if your boyfriend invites you out to eat, if you have work to do then you'll choose work. So, if you have a relationship where you can both understand one another, isn't that love and work successfully balancing each other?

TOMOMI: It's nice if it seems like, "I can do my best because I have this person!" You can make your partner happy by working hard. It's great to have a relationship where you can both grow together by being together.

HARUNA: Both giving your all in love and with your work is ideal. Although it's tough, it's necessary for both of you to be prepared to continue on.

MAMI: I think that the four of us will eventually experience marriage and childbirth, but right now our work comes first. Our environment was newly changed with the establishment of our new label, and the things we can do have expanded so much, so we would like to concentrate on our music and band activities.

HARUNA: We want to also grow as a band while having experiences as women. Even if we become mothers someday, I hope we can juggle that with being in a band.

Contemporary band SCANDAL talks about a "woman's way of life."

Q2FUeBa.jpg

The contemporary band SCANDAL. Are there many people who remember that, when they debuted in 2008, they garnered attention as a "school uniform-wearing all-girl band"? It's been 10 years since then for these girls. We asked these girls, who established their own label and just released their first double A-side single, about their private lives.

Our promo pictures with a different atmosphere than ever before, were actually shot once before with a different theme, and then reshot

RINA:
This year, at the juncture of us being a major label band for 10 years, we established our new label "her." We wanted to go with a name where you could tell at first glance that it belonged to women, and we went with the most fitting one out of many words.

HARUNA: The pictures we took at the beach for our new label were actually reshoots. The ones we had first taken were more colorful and were shot in a studio. However, when we looked at the completed pictures, we felt that more natural pictures and expressions fit with our current state of mind... Although it was a bit selfish, we had the pictures be retaken.

MAMI: We changed into all-white outfifts with the image of us being "dyed by anything" with the ocean in the background. Although it has a bit of a different feel from how we used to be, but we thought, "Now's the time to express ourselves in this way," and, "A natural and open atmosphere is also like us."

TOMOMI: Creating a label makes our colors more darker than ever before. That's why we decided to go with pictures for this start that were like the normal us and where we had natural expressions.

It's nice to have both a part of yourself that likes cute things, and a part that likes cool things; that's one of the perks of being a woman

08p3ZGp.jpg

HARUNA: We haven't really sung about ourselves until now, but our new song 『Masterpiece』 is a song that sings about who we currently are. We made it wanting to sing about our second chapter after finishing our first chapter with our 10th anniversary. We made the outfits we wore in the music video a bit more punky to match the mood of the song.

RINA: 『Masterpiece』 is a rock tune that definitely gets the crowd going at our live shows. I think you'll understand by hearing the lyrics, but we imagined a "starting song" that we could sing precisely because we're starting a new challenge. It's a cool, energetic song. On the other hand, since we imagined the other song 『Mabataki』 to be girly and cute, it gives off a sweet and girly impression. These two songs were released on a double A-side single. We want to continue being a rock band while placing importance on being women, and since we like things that aren't just "cool" or "tough" but "cute" too, we thought it'd be good if we could express that part too.

HARUNA: Not only us but JJ readers as well have our own sensibilities about clothes, makeup, ways of living, and what's "cute" or "cool." So, we made two completely different songs with the thought of wanting you to cherish yourself.

ZINES, driving, making herbariums, festivals at Yoyogi Park...on our days off we do our own favorite things unrelated to the band

LF8vhpx.jpg

RINA: During our recent breaks I've been looking at ZINEs! A "ZINE" is popular thing among young people overseas, and is a cultural thing that combines your favorite things into one volume. There have been "ZINE festivals" recently that have been fun. Being able to know different people's interests and preferences is exciting.

HARUNA: Probably driving alone. When you're in your car, you're in your own space. I really like spending time thinking while driving without being disturbed by anyone.

TOMOMI: Sounds nice! Since I love plants, I have a ton of houseplants at home. I also make swag (wall decorations) and herbariums......I like to make various things myself.

MAMI: I've been a super outdoor person recently. I've gone to festivals at Yoyogi Park, went to teamLab events, participated in escape rooms, etc. I had previously been an indoor person, but I wanted to make my year a fulfilling one in the band and in my private life too, and I started to become active from around last year. Next, I'll be going to the "SAKANA (fish) & JAPAN FESTIVAL 2019" at Yoyogi Park (laughs)!

Even their casual outfits are stylish♡ We want to know more about contemporary band SCANDAL's fashion!

d54vYeU.jpg

Contemporary band SCANDAL has garnerned attention since their major label debut 10 years ago as a school uniform-wearing all-girl band. They of course play cool songs, but actually, them having fashionable visuals is also a popular secret of theirs. They've recently been garnering attention by producing an apparel brand for themselves, and for being fashion icons. We will introduce their secrets of fashion unique to this generation, such as where the members go to shop and what they use for fashion references.

Our tastes in casual clothes are all different. We use Instagram, our friends in fashion, movies, and store employees for input!

QcxsP3L.jpg

HARUNA: For fashion references, it has to be Instagram for me. I like the brands Opening Ceremony, MIHARAYASUHIRO, and Christian Dada. I check them out often.

RINA: I'm often influenced by movies. I've been wearing vintage clothes often as well, but I'm also influenced by films directed by Sofia Coppola. I wondered where they sold the see-through cloth that appears in her films, and went on a "trip to search for vintage clothes" to Paris and London. However, because there's such a wide range of vintage clothes, there are all kinds of things that range from cool to cute. This isn't about the new songs on our double A-side single, but since I like both "cool" and "cute" things, if you look in my closet it may look like two different people live there (laughs).

TOMOMI: I have a different clothing system each day. But I still like silver accessories. I have both delicate and larger ones. I have a lot of friends in fashion, so I sometimes ask them about what's fashionable. Recently, my favorite brand has been G.V.G.V.

MAMI: For me, store employees are fashionable teachers. There are clothes that have six sleeves, and clothes that have chains attached that connect your feet and neck (laughs). I like the unusual clothes that I can't understand unless it's explained to me, so I ask them, "How do you wear this?" I'm the only one among the members that wears eccentric clothes like that and dresses differently.

HARUNA: Our tastes in casual clothes are all different. However, even though our tastes differ, the four of us together produce our apparel brand "Feedback!"

RINA: We are making clothes while learning about cutting-edge shapes and fabrics in the field precisely because we have different fashion preferences. In the beginning we would all discuss things together, but in the end it feels like we're making use of each area of our expertise, like, "RINA's well-versed in dresses," or, "Let's leave it to MAMI if it is a mens-like thing."

We want you to listen to band music as new music as you take on challenges of trying various tastes in fashion

WKLit7Q.jpg

HARUNA: The readers of JJ are of the same generation as us. We launched a label and took on new challenges now around the age of 30. So, if you're unsure of something, it's better to try jumping in with a "I want to do it!" mindset. We want to make many songs that'll support those kinds of people. If you feel stressed out, please come out to a live show of ours. Let's have fun togethere! Also, since we're in the process of increasing the number of Feedback! items, we'd like JJ readers to wear them too.

RINA: I also love hair+makeup and fashion, and I want to have women who are interested in fashion to listen to our music a lot. There are some people don't usually listen to band music, but it'd make me happy if they could try out new music and enjoy it, just like trying out different tastes in fashion.

TOMOMI: There are also many people who changed their jobs, and people who have changed their environment, including my friends of the same generation. It's a turning point in people's lives. It's a common phrase, but because you only have one life, I want you to head towards something that excites you!

MAMI: When you were in middle or high school, you probably imagined yourself around 30 as being more of a grown-up, but it might be completely different from who you are now (laughs). But it's fun, and even if you don't know what you want to be like, that in itself is all right. There are many things that you might be unsure of, but because we're together, please be positive in trying things you can only enjoy now!

Unveiling her beloved car! The reason why TOMOMI of SCANDAL chose a MINI Clubman

VgTHvYL.jpg

SCANDAL is Japan's leading all-girl band who has completed tours such as a world tour that visited 10 cities in 8 countries, and a tour that went around all 47 prefectures of Japan. As a matter of fact, it seems that bassist TOMOMI loves cars and driving. After hearing those rumors, we were aware that it might have been seemingly impossible task to ask her to show us her car, but she unbelievably said yes! And so, she arrived in her first-generation MINI Clubman. We asked her why she chose a Clubman, and what car she'd want to drive one day.

Buying a car after looking at Carsensor

――When did you get your Clubman?

TOMOMI:
About three years ago. I've been in the band since I was in high school, so I didn't have time to attend driving school, and in 2015 I finally got my driver's license. Actually, MAMI and I went to the same driving school together.

When I would go there with MAMI, we'd also talk about things like, "If you get your license, what kind of car do you want to drive?" At first I thought about going with a used car, so when I was buying a car I'd often look at Carsensor (laughs).

――Oh, that makes us happy!

TOMOMI:
I was excitedly looking at all kinds of cars online, and when I'd find a car that I thought looked good, I'd go and look at the shops..... Choosing a car was a lot of fun.

――Did you decide to purchase a Clubman from the start?

TOMOMI:
No; so many cars caught my eye. I of course thought MINIs were cute, and also the Volkswagen New Beetle and the Mitsuoka Viewt. Since I often drive in Tokyo, I was looking for a small car with a small turning radius. The cars at the driving school were also small, so I was a little worried to go with a larger one.

――Why did you go with a Clubman?

TOMOMI:
When you recline the backseat in a Clubman, you can also vertically stack the base shut in a hard case. Also, since I've been going camping as a hobby recently, I had wondered if you could stack a lot of luggage in the Clubman. I'm still camping with my friends now, but I've been thinking that I'll get my own equipment and would like to try camping solo.

Wanting to drive a vintage car

jHd4vzJ.jpg

――A Clubman certainly seems to fit the image of camping.

TOMOMI:
But I actually wanted to drive a different kind of car......

――Hm? What kind of Clubman?

TOMOMI:
When you look at outdoor magazines and sites, they feature people who enjoy camping with old cars, right? I longed for that kind of atmosphere. I wanted to drive a Ford Bronco or a Toyota Land Cruiser.

――A Bronco! That's quite a maniacal choice.

TOMOMI:
It was exciting to imagine myself driving cars like that, but getting a big car wasn't realistic...... So, I decided to go with a small car, and after that I just checked out old MINIs and Beetles that had a similar atmosphere.

――You like vintage-like designs, don't you?

TOMOMI:
I do! I also only checked out vintage camping gear at first. However, the fact of the matter is that I hate bugs (laughs). It's no good if the inner tent doesn't keep you bug-free. With old cars, I also considered, "What if it breaks down......"

――Was there a car that jumped out at you?

TOMOMI:
It was difficult. That's why, while aiming to find one, I was looking at cars with a relatively new but old-fashioned feel. (Taking out her phone) By the way, this is the Bronco I wanted.

――The yellow body is cute. Rather, by bringing out this image right away, isn't that proof that you're always looking at cars (laughs)?

TOMOMI:
Most older Broncos and Beetles are stick shifts/have manual transmissions. My license is limited to cars with automatic transmissions, so I think it's better remove restrictions.

――What is driving a Clubman actually like?

TOMOMI:
I like that it's really easy to drive. I like plants, and I often go around to plant nurseries on my days off. It's really easy to pack this car with the plants I buy! The barn doors in the back are also cute.

――It's fun to drive a MINI.

TOMOMI:
Driving itself is also fun, and I also like the sound of the engine. At first I thought it was noisy, but it quickly became comfortable. The rounded interior that matches the atmosphere of the exterior is also pretty.

――You've been driving this car for three years. Have you also done some modifications yourself?

TOMOMI:
I haven't remodeled it drastically, but I look at all kinds of pages to see if doing x will make it even cuter.

E6Wuatw.jpg

――Are you looking into it to actually fiddle around with things?

TOMOMI:
Actually, when I bought it, my dashboard had a portable navigation system. But, I really didn't like that square box in the middle of the cute, round atmosphere......

――A square thing certainly might look a little off.

TOMOMI:
The place where I bought the car told me, "MINIs have large speedometers, so that can't be helped," but after doing a lot of research, I found a place that would embed the navigation under the speedometer. I went to the place right away and got my car navigation embedded.

――You barely had to do any footwork (laughs).

TOMOMI:
I like it very much now because the interior is clean and cute.

Excited to return as if rookies now
――SCANDAL has established their private label "her." Did you previously feel that you wanted to have your own label?

TOMOMI:
Since our major label debut, we've always shared the common view of how we've been able to continue working with excitement. When we reached a crossroads, we chose to walk down the more fun path.

Then, when 10 years had passed since our debut, we found out that each of the members was thinking, "What should we do to get even more excited after this?"

――All of you were feeling fuzzy about the same thing.

TOMOMI:
Yes. When we found that out, we all talked together. Then, we decided, "Our excitement might be cut off if we keep going like this. If so, then let's not stay in the same place as we are now; let's go to a totally different place."

――You then established "her." How are you feeling now?

TOMOMI:
It feels really fresh, almost as if we're back to being rookies (laughs). We're excited that it feels like we can go anywhere from here onwards!

SCANDAL's TOMOMI talks about her everyday driving and where she longs to drive to

Rdd2jOt.jpg

SCANDAL is a popular all-girl band who has completed tours such as a world tour that visited 10 cities in 8 countries, and a tour that went around all 47 prefectures of Japan. We interviewed TOMOMI in the middle of their busy schedule for the release of their new single 『Masterpiece / Mabataki』 that was released on 3/27. We asked her about how she enjoys driving in her beloved MINI Clubman.

Going to see shooting stars by car after making up her mind
――TOMOMI, do you drive to work in your car?

TOMOMI:
When we go to a studio for rehearsals, I do occasionally drive there. It's just that I drive to do personal things more, like going shopping. I occasionally drive long distances too.

――Like where, for example?

TOMOMI:
MAMI and I have gone out to Fuji-Q Highland before (laughs). I also go camping often. When my friends camped at a campsite on a riverbed in Kanagawa Prefecture, I also drove on the highways and met up with them......

――You like taking it easy in nature.

TOMOMI:
I still feel like I'm sticking close to my friends. I want to be able to go camping solo at any time with my own equipment. So, when there's someone at a campsite who's using cute equipment, I unconsciously end up talking to them. Like, "What brand is that?", or, "Is that easy to use?"

――It's been three years since you got your Clubman. Have you had any memorable drives in particular?

TOMOMI:
I have a friend whom I've spent almost every day with since we were in high school. One of our convos on LINE was, "It seems like there's going to be a meteor shower today," and we hastily ended up going to see the meteor shower.

――Meteor showers happen in the middle of the night, don't they?

TOMOMI:
Yes. It was around midnight when I headed out. I hurriedly went to pick up my friend, and we gazed up at the shooting stars falling innumerably for hours while lying down in a dark riverbed. It was so much fun!

――You went out as soon as you made up your mind. That was fun precisely because you had a car.

TOMOMI:
I felt that way too. That was when no trains were running, so if I didn't have a car then I wouldn't have been able to see those shooting stars. Also, my parents have also been quite enjoying driving recently.

――Your parents? How are they enjoying it?

TOMOMI:
My parents will go to a live show of SCANDAL's no matter where it is in the country. They'll drive even if it takes eight or 10 hours. Also, they always send me pictures via LINE of all the places they drive to (laughs).

――That sounds fun (laughs).

TOMOMI:
One day, my mom told me, "Going to SCANDAL's live shows, we've returned to being lovers. Thank you." Although they're my parents, I feel envious that they're able to keep this kind of relationship even after getting married.

Driving to Chatsubomi Moss Park on a rainy day!

――TOMOMI, is there somewhere you want to go to right now via car?

TOMOMI:
Do you know of Chatsubomi Moss Park? It's in Gunma Prefecture, and there's a moss that grows only here in Honshu. I like plants, and I'm also interested in growing all kinds of things like bonsai or moss.

――It seems like it'd be lovely to go during a plentiful rainy season.

TOMOMI:
I too think that if I were to go, going on rainy or cloudy day would be good. However, the wipers on my Clubman aren't working very well, so I need to fix that.

――If you were to go driving with the members of SCANDAL, where would be a good place to go?

TOMOMI:
I wonder. Since we all love to eat, driving somewhere to look for delicious foods sounds like it would be fun.

――Since there are all sorts of specialities around the country, it would probably be a fun drive.

TOMOMI:
A little while ago, we drove to Utsunomiya to eat gyoza for a feature in our fan club magazine. Everyone had a great time chatting and having fun. Ah, I'd love to go to Shizuoka. I want to eat hamburg steak at the famous Sawayaka!

――Sawayaka! It's so popular right now that waiting in a line is inevitable. Speaking of driving, what kind of music do you often listen to when you drive?

TOMOMI:
I usually listen to FM radio. What I want to listen to the most while driving is tobaccojuice or Kenji Ozawa. I'm not the type to play intense songs and drive fast.

――Do you also choose music to match the time of day and the scenery?

TOMOMI:
I do. When it gets dark, I listen to mellow hip-hop like underslowjams. When I drive on the beach, I listen to surf rock like Jack Johnson.

New single is perfect for listening to while driving
――When we interview musicians, there are often many who try listening to their newly completed songs in the car. Do you do that too?

TOMOMI:
I do. I'm sure there are also people who buy our CDs and listen to them while driving, which would be streaming from the radio while they're driving. We try things like, "How does this sound?" while imagining all sorts of scenes. Recently, we've also been loading our songs into our phones and listening to them throughout the city.

――Speaking of which, on 3/27 you released your double A-side single containing the speedy "Masterpiece" and the poppy, girly "Mabataki."

TOMOMI:
Since it's the first single on our private label "her," we expressed that we can go anywhere by pairing of two completely opposite songs. We wanted to put out completely different songs in front instead of putting either one or the other in front.

――It feels like the lyrics of "Masterpiece" represent the current state of SCANDAL.

TOMOMI:
That's part of it. We're making a fresh start, and since it's releasing in the spring, we'd be happy if it gives positive strength to those who listen to it.

――It seems like you can get hooked on this song's speediness by listening to it while driving.

TOMOMI:
That might be true too (laughs). Since we recorded this song after first playing it live many times, it feels like we were able to pack in that live atmosphere. I think that the amount of heat suits driving.

――In what kind of situations would you like those who purchase this single to listen to it?

TOMOMI:
It might be good to listen to it while driving. This season is when environments change, such as finding employment or changing occupations. I think that you can get lost in many things, and that there are many opportunities where you can look back on yourself. When I think, "What should I do now?", I often go on drives. It feels like you're in a secret base when you're in a car, so it's perfect for thinking things over. I'd be happy if you spent your time with these songs during those times.
