- SM's best selling artist is a soloist (Baekhyun). Hasn't happened for ages.
- EXO surpasses 1M album sold with just a unit and 2 solo mini album (no group comeback).

Baekhyun's solo sales are seriously impressive. That plus EXO-SC + Chen's album sales mean EXO once more dominates physical sales in SM. If only SM promoted them better....

But on the other hand, super happy to see RV and Yoona there representing female artists! I wonder how much Taeyeon would have sold if Four Seasons had a physical....still desperately hoping for that second full-length album during the second half of 2019!

i feel like Baekhyun will end up as the best selling seeing how no EXO comeback is happening.

I think you are referring to Hanteo. Hanteo is the only chart that releases day to day sales. It's true that DREAM outsold 127 in the first week on HANTEO, NOT GAON. GAON and Hanteo are 2 different charts.

i know they've sold more than superhuman on hanteo which is why i thought it would be the same for gaon, but i find it unlikely theyll sell enough in august to make it to third on the entire list

Gaon isn’t like Hanteo, it isn’t real-time and they only release sales once a month. We Boom was released towards the end of the month so the numbers you see here are only over a few days and barely even a fraction of the total amount that they have sold. Since they’ve already outsold Superhuman on Hanteo, they’ll most likely do the same in the September Gaon update because numbers on Hanteo and Gaon are almost proportional to each other.

Dream’s numbers are actually pretty impressive considering they barely even had a week to chart.
