WTH happened in Italy? That's not seem good with the current open border x immigration crisis in the region.

Lack of tests and border controls. It's hard to imagine the coronavirus would hit Italy worst than Hong Kong but it's happening.

For non-Portuguese speakers: another suspect of Coronavirus tested positive. There were 3 prior other cases that are still under investigation. All in the State of São Paulo. Another case is under investigation in Pernambuco as well. All were travelers.

This new case is a 61 years man who was in Italy around Lombardia from February 9th to 21st. They are looking at the list of travelers of the same flight to proceed with proper quarantine.

I noticed a sharp increase of people buying supplies in my area (Los Angeles). Italy now getting close to 2K and looking at the rapid jump in other European countries, I feel like USA with 76 cases only is playing 3 monkeys and hope for the best instead of acting.

Lot of governments are acting like that. They are just ignoring it for economic reasons and because of that the economic damage of this "pandemic" will be way greater than it should.

A big chunk of the cases was caused of the sabotage of that cult. Number would be still big, but not close to 10K big. This should show how a small fuck up can be so dangerous and yet people still taking this situation so lightly.

Imagine this in the USA where people can be that stupid and willing to prove their dumbness. Iran did that and got even people in power infected. The amount of pride, greed, and willful ignorance of most American authorities (I'm not just bashing Trump, state governors and mayors from both parties are also dropping the ball by not cancelling major events as preventive measures) is criminal and baffling.

Italy finally started to act more decisively by quarantining a region with 16 million people. It's a hard pill, but it has to be taken. I doubt that it would be possible in the USA save some cities.
