I'd consider them more akin to TacoNiji and Shachi, since they are the last of the 6-member rainbow regional groups. And in that vein, they should probably redouble their efforts to get some media visibility, at least on a local level. TacoNiji have had a dozen different regular TV programs in Kansai, two of which are still going. Batten has only had the one where Kiyama is an assistant weather girl.

Does anyone know the writers off-hand for their new songs? I'm curious.

Based on what I've heard from the other groups, I think Batten will be fine. It's just a matter now of what they want to do versus what they can afford to do. Really, they should do what Iginari did and find some local songwriters and build up a catalogue that way. Iginari has a pretty consistent sound and they get the local credit for using Pandalion.

As for Sakura, I get the impression that she is not particularly interested in doing gravure or modeling, even though she is the most popular. They've tried to push Riko into that role, too, but it just didn't catch on. Kiyama is truly the workhorse of the group but she has never been a big draw for wota.

And it is Takemasa from Keytalk. He also wrote Yoka Yoka Dance for them, so at least they're still keeping some connections alive.

I saw it some hours ago, then I had breakfast, made lunch, had lunch, replied to your thread and stuff before I posted
It's not really urgent news so I was taking my time, and I'm glad you posted!
Aarin was very active last year and would've continued to do a lot this year but most of it (Ayaka Nation, music festival production, Ja Namie performances etc) have been cancelled so it's great to see that can still keep active by testing out Youtube, producing online concerts, designing clothes and now modelling!

Reni is also active so it's just Kanako (her movie must've been finished last year or early this year) and Shiori that aren't doing much
