✨ᵗʰᵉʸ/ᵗʰᵉᵐ✨I think self diagnoses should never be a replacement from a professional diagnoses, but if there is no possible way for you to get one, then you can self diagnose, as long as you have fully educated yourself on the mental illness.

Self diagnosis on mental illness is not a good idea.
Most of the time it will not help, as even if you're lucky enough to figure out what is wrong with you it still doesn't mean you will be any better off.
Treatment for mental health is an often long process or nailing down very specific, individually tailored treatment plans. Even if you do figure it out how are you gonna get the expertise, medication, therapies, exercises, etc needed to get better? By seeing a specialist, which you should have done to begin with.

im fine with them as long as they don't rub it in my face and use their "self-diagnosed" mental illness for attention

Yes, that's a failure of government and one that plagues far too many countries. They let many people with MH issues go untreated and often the only option is the pretty much un-affordable private practitioners that aren't available. But also, some people can't get treatment. I've actually been diagnosed with severe depression but I can't actually get treatment so....
In the case of people who have been diagnosed and can't get any access to treatment my only advice could be to use as many irl and online resources available. Community groups, message boards, friends or family, etc and continually push via your GP if possible, in many cases they can get certain exceptions for special cases to put them forward for treatments and therapy often out of reach to them.
I'm not sure what country you're from or if they do that, here in Ireland that's something worth pursuing, but we also have the HSE which offers a lot of free mental health support.
If you have 0 other choice and can't get any professional help I really wouldn't know what to do other than try to figure out if it's something environmental rather than physical that is causing it. If it's something in your environment be it school, family, friends, etc those are things we have power to change and improve even without help, they are things we can work on to make things better...but if it's something physical like chemical issue in your body doing it I'm not sure how to make that better without treatment.
Either way I hope you feel better even tho I know that really isn't how it works, but still. I've been through mental health issues in the past too(social phobia) and I was lucky enough to get CBT and come through it well enough. I hope that you will come through your struggles too and to tell you the one main thing my therapist wanted me to always be mindful of and that is to simply try your best not to focus on it and worry. Worrying is an emotion with 0 value to us, it only makes us feel negative so if you can try to keep your mind busy and distracted.

it's not healthy, even medical professionals are sometimes wrong because mental illnesses are so complex and they need more than just a look at you to know what's up so i think it's always a bad idea
eventually if one is convinced of an illness they can trick themselves into "feeling" some of the symptoms

GuestI don't think that's right youl'll just exhaust yourself more. Mental health is a senstive subject so even if your not feeling well by searching about it and diagnosing yourself by yourself youll just exhaust yourself more. And yeah even mental health professionals arent perfect they make mistakes do you expect online sites and old books to be 100% right. Even if you cant acsses expensive programs im sure there is a free solution somehow no matter how much the world sucks there is no country this cruel so try and search never ever be satsified by diagnosing yourself its not just unhealthy its dangerous for your mental and physical health. No matter how much you say i can handle it i can handle myself trust me you cant as a person who suffers from mental illnesses i can guarantee you that you need someone or something to help you keep yourself sane. You cant do it alone. Hope things get better for you soon

what's wrong with it?that is indeed so wrong
I completely disagree with self diagnosis. You're not a doctor, and neither is google.
Symptoms can seem pretty vague on paper, if you think something specific is wrong - go to a doctor.
