INTERVIEW User Interview for July (?) 2021

Hello and welcome. I have come back with another User Interview for all you lovely people! Before we get started I have an announcement (that I'm sure no one cares about but whatever)! I'll now be posting interviews at the beginning of the month instead of the end!
Anyways...
This months' interviewee is a user that is active in the Japanese section of our lil forum. A very warm welcome to @Stan BiSH!
Without further ado, let's get started~​

Introduce yourself
Hi, I’m Stan BiSH, in general i post about alternative idols and girl bands,

also apparently i'm the OP of 1 of every 5 five J-artists threads... Hooray!? i try to reply back to all users that post in any of my threads so if anyone has any questions about these groups i would be happy to help you.

How did you learn about H+?
like most people here i used to be a member of OH, probably everyone still remembers how in mid-2019 that forum when down "permanently", a few weeks later someone from Hallyu+ contacted me on Twitter and send me a link to the forum (unfortunately i don't recall who)

Why did you join?
no reason not to!

What is your favorite thing about H+?
most users who i used to interact with at OH moved here, that's the main thing
Hallyu+ also has the best interface of any Kpop forum, when i post on other sites is like going back in time.

If you could be another user for a day who’d you be and why?
One of the Administrators, then i would add the [debut] [lyric video] [appreciation] [interview] tags to the JP section

How did you come up with your username?
i saw many users with the "Stan xxxx" handle and i like BiSH... not a very interesting story

and unfortunately a lot of people still don't know about them so they must think i'm a fan of bitches? or that i'm a bitch that likes to stan?

my other pick was the groundbreaking and totally different "Stan BiS" handle.

When and how did you get into Jpop/Asian entertainment?
i knew about Kpop and Jpop since at least the early 2010's but i wasn't interested in either, the first asian act that catched my attention was SCANDAL back in 2013, i would visit Kpop / Jpop sites to get news about them and eventually i started to like other acts

the first Kpop artists that i liked were AOA and MINX (Dreamcatcher).

Who is your bias and bias group?
right now

people:

Kpop: Sua (Dreamcatcher) has been since 2015
Jpop: Ayuni D (BiSH), Tsukino Usagi (PARADISES)

groups:

Jpop: EMPiRE, BiSH, SCANDAL, MAD JAMIE, Babysitter, Cinderella Sengen!

hall of fame: this version of "BiS" a.k.a "BiS2"




but i don't think i have an "absolute" fav

How do you keep up with the latest Jpop updates and releases?
usually from other users in forums or sns

for specialized sites

Kpop: Asianjunkie
Jpop acts: Natalie.mu
Alternative idols: homicidols, idolonchaos, Jrocknroll, idolisshit

Favorite non-Asian artist?
IC3PEAK, Tonight Alive, Nirvana, Grimes, Audioslave, Little Big, Monetochka, Linkin Park, Muse, SLAYER, early Sky ferreira

If you could make one wish, what wish would you make?
everyone is being troubled by the current pandemic among other things (new cold war, economic collapse, etc.) would be nice if things could be normal again

What superpower would you like to have?
being able to teleport objects to any or from any location, not myself but things
not only is very convenient but is not something that would give you the urge to start fighting crime

the first time i heard of OH was the Minx thread, i never posted there (was kinda dead before they became Dreamcatcher...) but pretty sure that Minx / Dreamcatcher was the first Kpop group i liked!





my favorite part of Dreamcatcher is Sua's nose

I'm surprised you became a fan of Dreamcatcher in their Minx days since you seem more into alternative/edgier acts and not many people knew of Minx. But their debut was great.

i think "Minx play" is the main reasons why Sua is my favorite member
i recall she did this thing were she would go and choke the other members (and by members i mean Yoohyeon )

definitely a charm point
