I think a rudimentary(call and text only) could be appropriate by double digits depending upon the child. Internet access is another matter. Without supervision I am leery until a child reaches a certain level of responsibility.​

Smartphones, for teenagers, not kids.

I havent gotten my own device yet even tho im 15 but I think it'll be 14-15 yrs old kids should get a phone.

yeah i agree with all the answers above.
smartphones are only for teenagers where they can take responsibility for their use, while children should get phones for calling & text only
