Definitely the price! But I don't buy books anymore so based on how I choose them at the library it's usually cover + genre + the summary/topic.

• Cover - I'm a sucker for nice designs; I don't tend to like designs that involves people (illustrations are fine but idk with actual people )
• Number of pages - I usually struggle to read anything more than 350 pages unless it has really good reviews.
• Summary - if it's interesting enough for me, I'll get it.
• My friends - we have similar taste in things so I would ask for recommendations from them.

I own around 100+ books including mangas because I have such a vast interest in all genre. Price do not matter to me at all if the book catch my attention
