Will the second half of the year see a hit bigger than "Eight"?

Although Zico's song will probably take the #1 in Melon Yearly Chart, songs which are released in the first couple of years tend to do weaker during year end polls. Ditto to BTS' On.

Given the changed nature of KPop, and the trend of trot singers doing great in songs which had been released many moons ago but kind of weaker in their own songs,

at the year end poll, Yknok thinks it will be hard to see a song which does better than Eight.

Thanks to the trottists causing trouble, BTS had to recruit the help of KPop's Senior Singer to subdue them. Make no mistake, that did work somewhat, since the rampage of the trottists has been subdued somewhat.

But yknok thinks it will be harder to find a song which will top Eight for the rest of the year. Eight has done only 63M views, kinda low since it prominently puts Suga's name at the title, but given that it is a darker song that might be understandable.

If the trottists did not cause trouble, Yknok thinks the return of Kpop's Senior Singer, who is now spending time in a movie instead while not covering songs by her juniors, would not have taken place.

You never knew Dynamite was coming, and like Dynamite it just blew off everything.
