After appearing in just two episodes for the variety show Go Fighting!’s 极限挑战 sixth season, program regular Lay Zhang Yixing bids adieu to the show he’s been on since its inception because his schedule just couldn’t handle it anymore.
In a post on social media, his management team Zhang Yixing Studio had the following words to say on behalf of the singer-actor:
“This is fate, this is love, this is to fight together, this is something we must definitely win.
Because of his extremely tight schedule and new plans, Zhang Yixing’s journey in this season's Go Fighting comes to an end ~
As a cast member of the show, Zhang Yixing and our entire team had a great time recording two episodes for season 6. Although the situation is regrettable, Lay’s tight schedule can only be adjusted to accommodate a few days of filming only, but he is still very pleased to have been able celebrate the show’s sixth year milestone with you. Thank you to the program team and all our colleagues from the show for their care and companionship for many years, and thank you for your kindness and your reluctance to let us leave.
We hope "Go Fighting" gets better and better, and also wish everyone to continue to push their limits and create opportunities for themselves. It’s now time to say goodbye to the show, our forever brothers and friends. In the future, let’s work together and win together once again!”
With Show Luo now out of the picture owing to his most recent scandal, Lay’s departure from the program is surely a big blow to the show since only Wang Xun is left out of the original Go Fighting “Man Gang” (男人帮) comprised of six members Huang Bo, Sun Lei, Huang Lei, Zhang Yixing, Show Luo, and Wang Xun.
