On hot days, I think of cool foods like kongguksu, watermelon, patbingsu, ice cream, acorn jelly soup, and naengmyeon.

TMI: Wooseok likes cold food but can't eat it well. So, he drinks lukewarm water all year round. Depending on the situation, even if he sweats a lot, he usually prefers something lukewarm. He seems to have a standard: if the sunlight is hot, cold is okay; if it's hot indoors, lukewarm. Interesting, right? He wasn't like this since childhood. It seems his body's constitution changed in high school. His body seemed to have become cooler than before. That's because he started liking warm food. If he eats something cold, he drinks something warm to protect his stomach while enjoying the delicious dessert.

I really like many desserts, but today I somehow crave patbingsu. I've even ordered and finished bingsu alone. It was very sweet and cool.

Bandi, how about a sweet bingsu after a long time, whether it's summer or winter where you are now? If it's summer, eat bingsu under a fan, air conditioner, or in the shade; if it's winter, eat it in a warm place. Now that I think about it, bingsu and ice cream are all-season foods. (Just kidding)

Hello, Bandi.
It's already August within just a week. After this month, summer will transition into autumn. Soon, the dragonfly friends will be freely flying around! In Korea, you can now see fireworks!! (I heard it's the same in Japan).

In Korea, this time of year is when people go on ‘summer vacations.’ It's about escaping the heat by going to cooler places. People go to the beach, valleys, water parks, staycations at hotels, overseas trips, caves, or stay at home with air conditioning and refreshing food! There are various ways to enjoy summer vacations. My summer vacation this year was ‘spending time with Bandi.’ Meeting Bandi in person was so refreshing that it felt like the best summer getaway.

When I was young, I used to go on summer vacations with my family every year during summer break. One time, we went to Gyeongpo Beach in Gangwon-do, where I encountered a jellyfish. It was terrifying. Although it was transparent, it had a distinct boundary and felt unpleasantly slippery and squishy. I instinctively recognized it as a threatening creature. When I first encountered that squishy thing at the beach, I ran to my mother. At that time, jellyfish weren't commonly seen along the shore of the East Sea. So my mother told me that I must have seen it wrong. As a child, I thought, ‘Hing, but I really did see it ,’ and I tried to go back into the sea. Then the lifeguards blew their whistles, and the children started screaming. It turned out that someone had been stung by the jellyfish. When I went back, I saw the purple tentacles. Eugh , it still gives me chills. My sister and I swam a bit far out into the blue sea on a dolphin-shaped float, and suddenly, a jellyfish with purple tentacles climbed onto my leg. The moment I felt that cold and squishy sensation, I was paralyzed with fear and struggled desperately not to get stung by the tentacles. Fortunately, I made it back to the parasol without being stung. Phew. After we returned home, the news reported that venomous jellyfish had started appearing frequently in the East Sea. They said on the news that the Nomura's jellyfish could grow up to 2 meters and that its venom could kill a person, which almost made me faint. I'm truly grateful to be able to write this letter to the Bandi members while sitting in front of a cool fan today. I guess I'm pretty lucky.
