I haven't been reporting on NJ drama the past few days because i've been kind of burnt out, but I have some free time today so i'll try to fill you all in.

MHJ Drama

I am too tired to type out a full summary of this, but long story short Hyerin's uncle was revealed to be the NJ family member who went with MHJ to Dabo Link to negotiate a transfer deal with them.

Chosun Buz got text messages leaks between MHJ and Hyerin's uncle. It was confirmed that Hyerin's uncle was the one who sent Chosun Buz these text message screenshots.

Some of these text messages that were leaked have information regarding MHJ's involvement with Hanni's report of abuse towards the ministry of labor in which Ador was found not guilty in.

The text messages between them are implying that MHJ knew about the Tokki's reporting Hanni's abuse to the ministry of labor and encouraged it along with encouraging Hanni to go along with the abuse claim and going to speak at the assembly as well. (It is already known that MHJ coached Hanni the day before her assembly speech, photos of Hanni and MHJ together before the trial were leaked awhile ago).

To tie this into MHJ and Haerin's uncle meeting Dabo Link, I guess the timing of Hanni's abuse claims was right before their meeting with Dabo Link and MHJ was trying to lower Ador's value (?) before the deal?

The article has also been updated to include MHJ's rebuttal claiming the article and the text messages are untrue and taken out of context.

(Many people are assuming though that since MHJ was quick to rebut the text message links there must be some truth to it).

Dior AD



As you all know, Haerin is a brand ambassador l for Dior.

For the most part in all of NJ's brand deals since leaving Ador the brands have just been crediting them with their names instead of the group and name (like "hanni" instead of "New Jeans Hanni". Recently for an ad for Dior Haerin was credited as "New Jeans Haerin", the official NJ accounts were tagged instead of the Jeanz instagram account, and the official NJ accounts reposted it.

This has been the first time a brand has done things through Ador and the official NJ accounts since NJ left Ador, and the first time one of the girls attended an event as "New Jeans Member X" instead of just their names.

It was also shouted out that instead of articles online saying "Haerin was at a brand event with Dior today", articles said "Haerin was at a company event with Brand D". People are finding it strange that news articles won't say the brand name Dior in the articles anymore and are just crediting Dior as "Brand/Company D".

Some people are assuming Dior's sudden decision to to longer be mentioned by name could just be them trying to distance themselves from this drama.

Stonehenge ADs

Recently New Jeans have been doing advertisments with a jewelry company called Stonehenge.

A lot of fans have been under the impression that this advertising deal was made without Ador, but it has since been clarified that this deal was made while they were still under Ador and the NJ members are just fulfilling the terms of the contract.

There are no issues with NJ participating in the advertisement campaigns for the brand, and Ador is fully aware and supporting them doing these activities. The official Ador accounts even posted behind the scenes content already.

Hanni's Visa

It has also been reported today that Hanni has not/will not be renewing her visa and will be staying in Australia for the time being.

It was said that she has rejected Ador's application to renew/extend her visa and will be letting it run out at the end of the month.

There are currently lots of people speculating whether she will stay in Australia for the time being, or be the first member of the group to sign with a new company who can give her a new visa.

I'm personally talking this news with a grain of salt because I feel like only Hanni can really confirm what she's deciding to do with her visa (though I guess Ador can confirm/deny if she rejected her visa extension).

With all of this drama going on, we are hoping Hanni can spend some quality time with her family in the meantime.

She recently shared on the Jeanz instagram story she has been spending her time hiking(?) in the wilderness with her family:

I'm honestly happy that the NJ girls are having a nice vacation right now despite everything going on! Along with Hanni having a nice time in Australia, Minji has apparently been on a ski vacation!

The only two people who would have access to the supposed text messages would not leak them if they were damaging. So I am extremely dubious about their veracity.

It was also shouted out that instead of articles online saying "Hyerin was at a brand event with Dior today", articles said "Hyerin was at a company event with Brand D". People are finding it strange that news articles won't say the brand name Dior in the articles anymore and are just crediting Dior as "Brand/Company D".

Dior is unlikely to hide it's name but still advertise with hyerin. They would not waste money on something unprofitable to them. They would avoid using her entirely if they were unhappy.

News agencies don't get mad as it is not sound business. They have to be unbiased or nobody believes them. So a worthless theory probably from antis.

Due to legal reasons I sure as heck hope not, it wouldn’t be wise to do one until all the legal battles are done.

Usually Japanese promotions are done with a separate Japanese company. If NJ’s also has a separate Japanese company as well doing a Japanese comeback through them would sort of be the only legal loophole.

I can’t find any info on them having one though?

Mini Update because I don't feel like making a new post:

- Dior is now not even tagging Haerin in their posts which are making people nervous. Maybe people think Dior is just trying not to be involved in all of this drama.
- People are just now calling out the fact that MHJ and her team made an error in their accusations againt Illit. This whole time MHJ has been saying Illit debuted just 8 months after NJ's did this whole time when in fact NJ debuted mid 2022 and Illit debuted in early 2024, which is a year and a half apart.

R U Next started about a year after NJ's debuted (Once again, NJ debuted in mid 2022 and R U Next started airing a year later in July 2023) so maybe she was thinking of that? But I don't think they had illit's final debut image in mind when R U Next started airing because I've had people say they had to redo the group concept to fit Wonhee in because she was so young.

ELLE and not Dior posting. No individual was hash tagged as can be seen in the actual post below only company related material. Yuna Kim was @ ed because she has an individual Instagram account which Haerin doesn’t. ELLE is clearly avoiding posting Ador, NJs Official or the girl's group accounts to avoid legal issues. They had no issues posting Dior company @. Interestingly the first person seen in the post is Haerin in the first three photos.

She is also mentioned by name in the post(mistranslated Ha-rin) as can be seen in the IG translation.

I low-key wonder if it would make life easier for the girls if they opened individual instagram accounts?

Almost every idol has one now and most idols do their brand ads via their personal accounts and not the group accounts. The only time I’ve ever seen a whole group’s Instagram be tagged is if the whole group is being sponsored by the brand (like NJs and that jewelry brand).

Also, having an individual instagram is a good idea because even if you leave the group/company the brand deal still goes on because it’s between you and the brand and not the brand paying the company to use you. (I’ll use TBZ as an example, Juyeon is a brand ambassador for balenciaga. All his brand ambassador stuff for it is via his personal Instagram, not IST though they sometimes reposted it, and when he left IST his brand stuff still continues via his Instagram because it’s a contract between him and them and not him them and IST ).

This is what I think is a big issue in this mess. If the girls want to sign an AD contract yes there is an issue if they are signing the contract as “New Jeans Member X”, but if they are just signing the contract as “X” I personally don’t think it should be an issue because they are only paying for the member/person themselves and not the group/brand name. I know tons of other idols who have stuff like this so I don’t think NJ should be excluded from this loophole.
