I was actually about to go to bed but New Jean's parents have just released another statement so here we go :lurk2:

New Jeans Parent's Respond to Belift's Statement.

To start off:

- New Jeans parent’s did not tell ADOR that they were going to release a statement about the bullying situation. They felt that since their pleas to Ador/Hybe about the situation was falling from deaf’s ears they had no choice but to release a press statement.
- The new Ador CEO was taken aback by them releasing a statement. The parents asked her to release an official statement to the press to Belfit but she declined, stating that it would just start a chain of back and forth battles in the press between the two companies. She also said conflicts between labels is why Ador could not release a statement against Belfit.

Now onto addressing the issue:

- They said that although footage of Hanni and the other artists greeting each other to exist, Hybe/Ador has not done anything to resolve the issue.
- The parents began saying the issue is not about another group not greeting her, but the fact that a manager told the artists not to greet Hanni.
- They said that they never said the other label or artist’s name specifically in the media, so by Belfit releasing a statement they are defaming New Jeans and them (the parents)
- The new CEO promised to issue a notice about proper greeting etiquette and manners to all HYBE staff, including other artists, but the parents were unhappy with this and said the issue isn’t about greetings and is about New Jeans receiving unfair treatment.
- The parents emailed Hybe about the bullying situation on June 13th and the situation has mostly been responded via email.
- The parents requested photographs of the manager who bullied Hanni, but they said they couldn’t give them photos of them since it would be a human rights violation, and they didn’t give them a clear answer when asked for the name of the manager.
- They said Belift’s claim that MHJ made a new argument after viewing the footage on August 14th is false. MHJ was never involved and they have never seen any footage prior to this day.
- They then said they were originally told only the people involved could review the footage, so how could MHJ see the footage?
- Hanni reviewed the footage with a manager, but not right away due to her busy schedule.
- They claimed the footage Hanni was shown was the wrong footage. They said the incident happened between Hanni and the other artists with their manager alone, but the footage Hanni was shown was Hanni and Danielle getting off the elevator with an Ador manager.
- They said a security officer told Hanni there was two scenes, one where the other artist passed them and they greeted each other, and another where they passed each other a little while later but they did not greet each other. They did not have footage any more of the second interaction and it was deleted.
- The new Ador CEO promised to investigate again and said a new witness came forward, but in the end the only footage they had was the interaction where they did greet each other.
- For this next part i'm just going to put in a quote:
"They keep insisting that recovering CCTV footage after 30 days is difficult, but we never even asked for the footage. We didn’t know it existed. When we learned that they had secured the footage, we were relieved, but we were still concerned that the audio might not be clear and the lip movements might be hard to see.”
- They said it’s hard to accept Hybe/Adors explanation of the situation due to them not being able to recover the rest of the footage due to the 30 day deletion period excuse.
- A parent criticized Belfit for misleading people by claiming an outside security team handles the CCTV when Hybe handles it internally.

And here is their ending statement:
“HYBE and Belift Lab are continuing to distort the truth rather than reflect on their attempt to cover up and downplay the issue. We only want to ensure that our children don’t have to go through this again. Yet, I don’t understand why they keep making up stories.”

LATER IN THE DAY UPDATE

Hanni announces she will officially be speaking at court

Tokki's lawsuit against ADOR officially filed

The team bunnies/tokki's that i've mentioned in previous updates (not to be confused with user Tokki) has officially filed charges.

The criminal complaint is against ADOR CEO Kim Joo-young (also HYBE CHRO), ADOR Vice President Lee Do-kyung (also HYBE IPX Vice President), HYBE CCO Park Tae-hee, and PR Director Cho Sung-hoon.

Kim Joo-young and Lee Do-kyung will be charged with breach of duty and obstruction of business at ADOR, while Park Tae-hee and Cho Sung-hoon will be charged with violating the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (including network invasion and defamation), and the Anti-Graft and Bribery Prohibition Act.

They are complaining they have not taken proactive measures to protect the girls and harmed their entertainment activities, damaging the girls future activities and music. They also said they have disregarded the member's opinions and by doing so have stunned their growth.

They are also charging the PR department with malicious theft and illegal disclosure of personal information.

They have employed many law offices across Seoul and an unnamed big law firm in California to handle the case.

Side info I would like to provide:
- In SK it is illegal for private CCTV to contain audio
- In SK CCTV legally needs to be deleted after 30 days except for special circumstances such as if the footage is needed for a police investigation, or if the CCTV is for a place such as a hospital or daycare in which it's raised to a 60 day period.

I'm a bit confused on what type of resolution NJ's parents would like?
It seems the parents raised the issue of Hanni not getting greeted. The new CEO/former Hybe HR person said in response they would send out a warning about greetings and etiquette to Hybe staff and artists, which imo seems like an normal response? But the parents were not happy about this and said the issue isn't about Hanni not being greeted?

On a side note, If Belift releases another response within the next 24 hours I think I will just either edit this or post the update in the comments instead of making a new post.

More updates came out so I edited the original post. Now naive of me to think the news for today would have just ended after the first update :yooheadache:

I understand Hanni's worry about staff within the company possibly having bad intentions. I think NJ wishes to address something small like this out of fear of things escalating, something worse happening later and not having the attention and the gp on their side as it is now. As I said before, I'm sure MHJ has been feeding into their fears and anxiety and talking about some awful scenarios of what she thinks will happen if she's not back as CEO.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Hybe has shown to be a incredibly dumb and unprofessional company and I can see why NJ don't want to stay. I think Hybe should let them go, but put all the debt in MHJ's name :peepofinger:
