10 years after it's release Big Bang's BANG BANG BANG has re-entered the Inkigayo charts at #4 this week:
According to Inkigayo's website they were at #14 last week? So they went up 10 spots between this week and last week.
I mentioned in this post from 1/28 that due to T.O.P's role as Thanos in Squid Games Fantastic Baby's popularity rose up to the point where it was #7 in Tiktok Japan's song chart. Bang Bang Bang's popularity seems to have risen again from a combination of their 2024 Mama Performance, GDragon's recent promotions (such as his new songs, album announcement, and tour announcement), and the song has been trending with international fans due to Squid Game.
It's not uncommon for older songs so suddenly start trending again years later. BB Girl's Rollin is an example of this along with Exo's First Snow trending every winter, NJZ's Ditto also trending in the winter, and BTS's Spring Day pretty much never leaving top 100 charts.
Kpop fans online are just finding it really funny that the song suddenly started trending (a bit out of nowhere?) after all this time

All of their hits started trending end of last year when GD came back. Not really out of nowhere. They've been steadily rising since. They're the nation's boy group for sure.
