We actually had some news drop today so here is a roundup of all the happenings from this past morning.

Shinee's Minho Invented ISAC

Today we found out some of the most Minho news ever.

Minho was recently a guest on a youtube interview show series called ISSUE CLUB

During the interview it was revealed that Minho actually accidentally created ISAC!

While Shinee was in a waiting room one day Minho was joking with the other members that it would be fun if all of the companies could come together and have a sports competition.

While they were joking, the managers and producers in the room apparently took this very seriously, and shortly after ISAC was born!

It was also revealed that originally ISAC was just going to be a sports event for SM artists since SM has so many people under them. There was an issue though which was it was hard for the company to work with everyone's schedules to get them together. To solve this problem they had the idea to invite other companies in instead and ISAC was born!

I can't explain, but Minho inventing ISAC is very Minho of him, especially since he's like the king of ISAC

ADOR Supports NJ's Hanni

This morning Ador released a statement in response to NJ's letter of intent from two weeks ago (which was supposed to expire today).

Here is a rough translation of the tweet:

On October 7, 2024, Belift Lab released a statement regarding the 'Manager Ignore Remarks' through the Belift Lab X account and 'Notice'. However, despite Adore's efforts, the controversy has not yet subsided, so Adore is revealing its position.

Hanni did not seem too impressed by this announcement, and shared this with fans on their artist-fan communication app Phoning

The time limit for NJ's was up today and we currently have no announcement whether they are staying or leaving.

Soyeon Contract Negotiations

In a recent interview Soyeon announced that she is still negotiating her contract with Cube and the results should be out at the end of November (so pretty much any day now)



Most fans seem to be under the impression that Soyeon/Gidle will now be staying in Cube if the negotiations are still going on for this long.
Fans have been saying that it would probably be most advantegous for them to stay in Cube since they are their main money makers and will always have the upper hand over them, while if they were to go to a new company they would be the newbies and not have that same advantage/upper hand.

Whatever decision she does make though, i'm sure it will be the best for her and her group.

(I also want to shout out that now that her hair grew out a bit, that bob looks really good on her!!!)

Madein's Events Canceled

Madein has currently been trending online due to member Gaeun coming forward about her Sexual Harassment from their CEO.

There is currently an active boycott against the entire company for Justice for Gaeun, and to get the other girls to safety. There are also 2 petitions going around to get the CEO who assaulted her out of the company.

After being exposed, the CEO who harassed her had to remove all posts from his social media and all commenting has been disabled from all of Madein's recent social media pages.

Almost all of Madein's schedules have been getting canceled as well.

And after that tweet was made, it was announced that Madein's shanghai fansign will be canceled and fans have been pretty vocal about how upset they are on social media.


Fans Angered Over Tick Tack English Version

Fans online have been very angered over the english version of Illit's popular song Tick-Tack which is called "Baby, It's Both" and features Ava Max.

Fans are angered over the fact that there are minors in the group and the lyrics to the english version are very not-pg.

The english version is also almost an entirely different song from the Korean version of Tick-Tack
(I also personally would consider this the #1 worst english version of a kpop song that i've ever heard in my entire life

Fans Angered Over StayC Mistreatment

While talking about their early says in a recent livestream, some stuff they talked about left fans pretty angered.

Something StayC is pretty known for is the fact that they had their phones taken away until their first win.

In the recent livestream they talked about how hard it was not to have their cellphones with them. When at schedules, StayC was confided into their waiting room because they had no phones no be notified of any schedule changes or if they were up next to perform at a show. Since they couldn't leave the room, if someone wanted to leave to go to the bathroom they had to wait for their manager (who has a phone) to escort them and they all had to travel as a group at all times.

The issue was this though was that their manager would walk away sometimes and without a phone they had no way to find their manager to tell them to come back if someone had to use the bathroom.

Here is a quote from the livestream translated by Koreaboo:​

We didn’t have handphones, so when the manager leaves the waiting room, it’s just us left and we couldn’t go to the bathroom. If the manager wasn’t there, we couldn’t go. We’re not even lying, but we couldn’t even go to the bathroom even if it was just opposite the corridor, right in front of the waiting room. Even if the corridor was just as wide as a table. We would have to ask the other staff to contact our manager for us. That was really hard. Then we came out with “ASAP” and got first place with “STEREOTYPE” and [we got phones.]​

Fans are angered over the fact that until their first win StayC didn't even have the right to go to the bathroom without their manager's permission.

They are also worried because StayC's company is expected to launch a new girl group next year featuring famous child dancer/former SM trainee Na Haeun.

My favorite part has always been deserts. During the whole extended family thanksgivings we would get this 7 layer cake from BJ's (It's like Costco) and it was delicious every time, I miss it

Kpop idols not having phones until a certain point was sadly very common back in the day, but StayC is a 4th gen group. I don't think i've heard of any other 4th gen groups (or 5th gen ones now) having their phones taken away.

I don't really follow StayC, but I haven't really heard any other bad things about their company. I hope their new GG that debut's next year can get some better treatment.

I kinda wish we stopped with all these English versions on kpop songs... I do like the K-version of tick-tack though.

Sorry to learn that about STAYC. Working with nurses for many years, I've heard the difficulties caused by not voiding when needed and not knowing when you can leave position to do so. Not good.
