Sana asks for privacy

A crime has been committed during Sanamas

As you all know, Sana is a fairly private person.

Recently people have been spreading the names of Sana's personal non-celebrity friends from her childhood/life before becoming a kpop idol. It lead to the point where Sana had to go to bubble (?) and ask fans to please not spread the names of her friends and respect her/their privacy.

Chaeyeon Injury

It has recently been announced that soloist and former IZONE member Chaeyeon will be taking a break from dancing due to sustaining a back injury.

She announced on her instagram story that she has ruptured a disc in her back.

Get well soon Chaeyeon! Please send her your well wishes!

Itzy tearful performance

Itzy's recent performance of Imaginary Friends have been trending online!

Itzy's performance at the KBS World Festival was very powerful and moving and left a lot of the audience in tears. In the video I will link below you can even see audience member's crying in the clips because they were so moved. Even Lia, who has recently returned from a long hiatus, was said to have been crying during/after the performance.

Imaginary Friends is one of Itzy's best releases IMO so i'm happy its getting the recognition it deserves!

Kiss Of Life Creative Director

We have some really shocking news for Kiss Of Life!

It was announced that Kiss Of Life's creative director only had a 3 year (?) contract with their company and it has ended. Their creative director has left the company and signed a contract with DOD (Day One Dream) and will be the new director for their newest project. She will be in charge of both directing and producing their newest group.

To my understanding, Kiss Of Life will now be transitioning into becoming a self-produced group. They will be acting as their own creative directors and be in charge of things such as making their songs, image, etc, themselves. The plan was apparently to make KIOF a self-produced group from the start.

DOD company is currently the parent company of BTOB and houses them along with former Momoland's Nancy.

Ghost9 meal allowance

This was something that kind of shocked me that I thought I would share here.

I follow Prince from Ghost9 on social media because I find his videos funny. He's most famously known for cooking in the company's practice room when his manager isn't paying attention.

In his most recent videos he shared some meals to make when you're broke because his company allows 9000 won, which is around 6UD, for each of the members to use for each meal a day. He also reminded us that the company also only does this because they are legally required too (he also said the company is broke/close to being 100% broke).

The meals he made usually all revolve around cheap instant ramen, which he said is fattening for a kpop idol but you can only go so far with 6 bucks and healthy food is expensive.

I know the company is broke so their hands are probably tied, I was surprised they only had 6 bucks for each meal?

TXT Hiatus

In a previous update I mentioned how TXT was supposed to go on a long hiatus.

Fans are currently angry and upset because it seems TXT's hiatus will not be as long as we thought. Their hiatus was supposed to begin in January, though it was recently announced TXT will be touring Europe starting March 25th.

Fans are upset that TXT's "long hiatus" will probably only be one or two months long due to the tour.

Happy Birthday

It's technically the 22nd, in Korea, so as a Deobi today I am wishing a very happy birthday to TBZ's Eric! Our hyper and very talented Maknae.

Your hyper nature definitely leaves a lasting impression. My mom ended up going to TBZ concert with me and the first thing she commented on after the show was him and his hyperness.

Happy Birthday Eric! May you continue to spread your positive personally in the future

Today's QOTD is: What is your favorite winter activity?

Personally I just like to make hot chocolate, curl up into a ball under my heated blanket, and try to watch a movie or take a nap when it's cold and snowing
(Recently I have been having to fight my dog for my heated blanket though every time I turn it on. She's 95 pounds so it can be hard )

Edit: Only curious because I generally spend less than three dollars and often under two on meals and snacks daily.

I’m in the US, so I feel like in the US you could make it work? (We have dollar generals, lots of fast food places with value sets, food stores have store brand stuff for less, etc). But I guess I’m not sure if it’s the same for Korea?

It also doesn’t seem to be a situation where it’s like “you have $18 a day to plan all 3 of your meals”, it’s “you have $6 then and there to spend use it or loose it”.

I follow this lady on TikTok who does a whole week’s worth of meals (usually at dollar tree) for like $20-25, so I feel like if you had $18 to spend in one day that would be fine? But once again, i don’t think that’s how their money is rationed and I can’t really speak for Korea’s selection/variety

Hopefully Chaeyeon will make a full recovery. Even though I study Sports Science, I cannot fully diagnose her condition as I do not have her full medical records, so I can't say for sure whether will she make a full recovery.


Haein did well for Kiss of Life. Fun fact: Both Haein and Natty from Kiss of Life are former Idol School contestants. And at one point they were rumoured to be in Stone Music next GG which never happen. And I think after that, Haein probably give up being an idol (There was also claim that she was also supposed to be one of the winner who was supposed to be in fromis_9). But I think she is better as a creative director even though she herself have lots of talents.

I'm in California and I am like the tiktok woman. I hope that they aren't handed 6 dollars at a time but who knows. All around an odd way to do things.

I love cooking and also try to be like that tiktok lady and if someone said "you have $18 a day/ $126 a week for meals I could totally go to a food store and make that work no problem, but based on how Prince worded things it does seem like the situation is the later where they just get $6 at a time.

If the company is as broke as Prince says, I hope they know the company could probably save a bunch of money by giving them an allowance to food shop and plan meals ahead of time rather than giving them 6 bucks and saying "go nuts"

Now that I have been thinking about it, I think this meal allowance per meal thing is actually kind of common because I remember Stellar mentioning their meals went a similar way (their situation was way WAY worse), and I feel like the early days of TBZ had something kind of similar as well.

Prince also seemed kind of annoyed because as an idol, they expect you to stay thin and fit and it's kind of hard to stay healthy and not be bloated when the only meal options you have is literally instant ramen

You most certainly can survive even when only consuming ramyun, but when you’re depleting your body of so many essential vitamins and minerals - which is typical of what some would consider to be the “idol diet” - you also would increase the risk of encountering health issues and/or problems with functioning. At the very least, he probably knows that all of his actions could potentially lead to early death, but is making the choice to do so regardless of his comments about the company’s financial situation and his preference for a healthier lifestyle.

I agree with you, though, in that his behaviour, although typical of what idols would often have to endure, shouldn’t be normalised.

Also, even if Prince does get out of his exciting contract, it may take years for his body to fully recover, as it may already be so used to this overall treatment. So, I think I can only pray for him to be safe and that he gets the support he needs.
