I only have a tiny bit of news to share today but here we go I guess.

I'll try to list this from bad news to good news.

Hanni Criticized

I'm not sure if criticized is the right word to call this, but Hanni has been getting called a bit "tone deaf" by people on twitter over her recent instagram story.

At the Grammys last night Chappell Roan made a speech on how music companies need to treat their artists better by providing them with livable wages and health insurance. She talked about her own experience giving her all to her company only for her to loose health insurance when she first got dropped by her company as a small artist, and later on for her (next/new?) company to still give her care for her health issues when she need it. (I don't know all of Chappell's health issues, but I do know she struggles with Bipolar Disorder and Depression and a lot of people noticed her Bipolar disorder was really struggling under her last company and her company was really overworking her

Hanni shared Chappell's speech to the Jeanz's instagram story with a heart, praising her speech, most likely because of the whole situation NJ is going through right now.

People were really rubbed the wrong way by Hanni trying to relate NJ and their situation to Chappell Roan's situation. Especially since NJ debuted with no debt, got paid right away and are very rich, live(d?s?) in a big luxury house, and have always had access to healthcare.

Some side context I think is important to share: I would like everyone to know that she also shared a picture of Doeichii winning an award and a clip of someone else's performance. She did not post a video of Chappell Roan and no one else.

Yves US Tour Issues

Loona's Yves have been facing many issues on her current US Tour.
(I'm pretty sure her tour is still going on? It might have ended though?)

Some of the issues she had been having have been;
- Criticism over landing a gig performing on Good Morning America
- Getting bullied by fans at her own fan sign over her favorite Animal Crossing villager
- Getting chased by men in the street at her Texas fansign
- Hearing gunshots outside her window (I assume at a hotel?)

Close Your Eyes/Pocketdol Studio Update

It was announced that member Minwook/J-Min expressed last month to his company Pocketdol that he wished to stop participating BAE173 activities to solely focus on Close Your Eyes.

An anonymous member of BAE173 apparently gave the statement:​

J-Min wanted to focus on CLOSE YOUR EYES and expressed his intention to stop participating in our group’s activities. I was very disappointed to hear that, but he seemed determined, so we couldn’t stop him. It would be great to continue working as a team with J-Min, but if he is so firm in his decision to leave, there’s nothing we can do. He seemed apologetic. We just told him to do what he wants​

It's a bit unclear whether J-Min intended to leave the group or just halt activities, but since his contract with BAE173 ends in 2027 and his contract with Close Your Eyes would end in 2028 him leaving the group would be inevitable since by the time his time in Close Your Eyes ends his BAE173 contract would have ended already.

It was also said J-Min has had no contact with the other members since.

He was also apparently reported missing by Pocketdol the day before?...

Writing Credits

We have been seeing a lot of idols start to have writing credits on their songs lately!

IVE's Wonyoung has been writing songs for quite awhile. She's written a few songs for IVE in the past and recently helped write their newest comeback attitude and is getting praised for it! A part of the choreo is also based on Wonyoung as well!

For this comeback album member Liz also helped write the song Thank You!

Aespa Donation

Aespa is currently on a world tour and it was announced they will be donating some of the proceeds from their California concert to help families affected by the California wildfires!

They shared a video talking about it and sharing resource links.

Jennie announced last week that she will be donating proceeds from her upcoming California concert to Calfornia fire relief as well.

What a nice gesture from Aespa (and Jennie)!

Fans are rejoicing online over the fact that we officially have 1 week (or I think technically 6 days?) left till we get Kai back from the military!

Fans are eagerly anticipating Mr. Rover to come back over.

I wanna ask something fun today so today's question of the day is:

If you could make an ita bag of any kpop idol, anime character, or video game character who would you choose?

For anyone who doesn't know what an ita bag is: they are those bags with a clear window on the front that you fill with pictures of something you love. Usually people make Ita bags of anime characters but making ita bags of idols and other singers and celebrities have become popular over the years!

Way way WAY back in the day I use to have an ita bag of Namjoon from BTS because my best friend got me one of those giant mega packs of knock off photocards of him and I couldn't think of what else to do with 50+ pictures of Namjoon. It was my Kcon bag the first time I went

The second time I went to kcon I made a Taemin ita bag which I got a new compliments on (It was kind of sad looking imo, but everyone loves Taemin so no one complained )

If I were to ever make another ita bag I think I would do Taemin again but try to do it more justice. If I had to choose an anime though, I would chose Black Butler or maybe try to do something cute like an animal crossing ita bag. I think an Animal crossing would look adorable
