Ador's Statement

As expected Ador has already released a statement.
​

“We find it very unfortunate that the members made this decision unilaterally before the legal judgment of the validity of the exclusive contract was made.We welcome NewJeans or their legal representatives at any time to resolve any misunderstandings and discuss the group’s future plans."​

The first trial for the contract validity is scheduled for April 2nd.

NJZ Statement

NJZ had a press release article with CNN who they also had a video interview with (I will post it after this).

Here is what they said in this article from the interview:

Hanni
"We're working hard to resolve everything and get back to normal" and "We don't want the legal dispute with their agency ADOR to be the focus of our careers."

About the name change
"After carefully considering the opinions of our fans, we chose the name NJZ, which maintains the essence of our original name. We are leaving our previous group name (New Jeans) behind for a while, but we have not completely abandoned the name. The period when we were active as New Jeans was precious to us and our fans, so we do not want to do that."

Danielle
"I have completely lost faith in Ador. We believe that we will win the battle against Hybe and Ador"

Hani
"There is nothing that can stop us anymore"

About the image change
"It's definitely different from what people are used to and the image we had when we debuted. We're going to break away from our existing 'girl next door' image and pursue a sharper and bolder style. We love wearing street fashion and genderless clothes, and I think that concept and aspect will play a strong role in our new fashion."

NJZ Direct Statement

NJZ I believe went on live(?) and made announcements. Here is a summary of what they said:

- They will be releasing their new song on March 23rd, this is their official "re-debut" as NJZ
- They will begin to release the concept photos for their new album for this song on SNS
- I'm not sure who said this but here's a quote from someone:​

"Promoting as NJZ is something we've never shown before. We've always tried new things, but we plan to show you even newer things as NJZ. As NJZ, we plan to try a lot of things that are exciting, unique, and fun. I'm really looking forward to trying a music style that we haven't tried before. We're going to try many things in the future. There are many paths open to us."​

- They will announce their new agency very very soon.
- (From my understanding I believe they are starting their own agency? But I could be wrong).
- Their new name is pronounced by spelling out the letters "N - J - Z"
- The fandom name will remain bunnies/tokki's
- They chose 2/7 as their debut day as NJZ because it's the reverse of their New Jeans debut date which is 7/22

I'm really REALLY happy the girls are finally getting creative freedom with their concept. They seemed very sick and tired of their "girl next door" concept and really happy with that more Y2K street fashion concept they had with How Sweet and Supernatural. I'm happy to finally see them doing what they want creative wise and thriving.

(I do also find it ironic that they are changing the concept because they are suing ILLIT for copying their concept while also abandoning the concept cause they don't like it?)

They give me such anxiety though legal-wise. I want them to have creative input over their music and be happy, but I also want them to do so legally

A valid concern that may be difficult to overcome.

I'm somewhere between feeling both excited for the fresh start and new opportunities for NJZ, and at the same time nervous with how they are going about it, legal-wise.

I get why they're itching to drop Ador, but I actually enjoy the music they've produced as NewJeans so far, so idk how I'll feel about the new direction.

I’m in the same boat! I’m happy they are getting more creative freedom now, I want their happiness, but I’m also a nervous wreck because they aren’t really being patient and I’m worried about them getting screwed over legal wise.

Unless they know something we don’t as of right now there’s only a 50/50 chance they win the court case. If they loose this will all blow up in their face

I’m like 99% certain the concept will be similar to the supernatural or how sweet performances where they are wearing more hip hop-ish matching sweatsuits now.

I think it’s just MHJ, but since MHJ are claiming belift copied NJZ they are sort of tied into this too.

Officially, NJZ never said illit was copying them but they did say Hybe was trying to replace them with a new group of the same concept which upset them. (which was illit).
