I will post an update on the current Kim Soohyun situation but I wanted to take a break and post a general news update first because i've had news blips piling up.
Here we go!

Kim Seri/AleXa
As it has been previously reported on, AleXa has left her company and is now going by her Korean name Kim Seri.
She has lost all access to her social media channels, her old company has left them.
It is also being asked to please not stream her album that was just released since it was dropped after she left the company.
The company has changed her old social medias to just a blank profile picture, blank username@zblabel, and has deleted the many posts she had previously made on them asking for people to follow her new accounts.
Seri has been very openly complaining on social media about loosing her social media channels and complaining as to what use her old company would get out of them in the first place.
In retaliation against her old company she has asked her fans to please mass spam and report her old accounts to get them taken down. She both made a tweet about it and I distinctly remember her making an instagram story asking this but they have both been deleted. It has been suspected that ZB Label reported the posts and got them taken down.
Ten and Leon
In all of my years staning NCT/WayV i've literally seen Ten get hate over anything so this has been shocking me.
Ten has been getting hate on twitter over the size of his cat Leon. He has gotten pretty chonky:

Now Leon's always seemed to be a bit on the chonkier side?
I remember back in the day when everyone still lived at the WayV dorms Yang Yang has called Leon a meatball before and once said he was starting to look like a turkey. Ten would scold Yang Yang every time though for calling his cats fat.
Here's a picture Yang Yang posted about 3 years ago, I think this is when he called the cats meatballs?
Fans are divided over how Leon's gotten this fat. Some people are saying it's not Ten's fault and Leon probably got this fat living at the dorm cause there would have been a lot of people there feeding him, though the thing is Ten moved out of the dorms at least a year ago?
According to the show Ten has been bringing Leon to the vet and the vet says Leon's healthy and Ten's working on a diet plan for him.
People are just really triggered by Ten's chonky cat.
LSF Sakura's Ring
A ring LSF's Sakura has gotten during her IZONE days has been making headlines on twitter over how expensive it is.
Her chinese fanbase gave Sakura this ring at an IZONE fansign and told her not to get married unless the guy gives her a ring more expensive than the one she's wearing.
The ring is a custom made ring that costs 50,000,000 won which is around $35,000 USD.
I don't think I even know anyone who's spent that much money on any jewelry in real life. Sakura's fans love her very much, if Sakura ever decides to get into a relationship good luck to whoever that person is
Comebacks
I wanted to take a minute to shout out some upcoming nugu comebacks!
Soloist Hanhee will be having her first comeback.
It will be a mini album with 3 songs and one of the songs will be a collaboration with Spanish singer Lucy Calcines!
Hanhee made her debut in January with the song Mayo (Just a disclaimer the song is a bit 18+)
And LOVEONE will be having a comeback next month in April!
Loveone debuted in November with the song Funny Honey.
They have also just landed their first brand ambassadorship my becoming exclusive models for the sunglasses brand Nopublic.

NCT Mark
It has been announced that NCT's Mark is releasing his first full solo album on April 7th!
A prerelease single featuring Haechan will drop on the 19th.
People are saying this is Mark's official solo debut, but hasn't he officially made his solo debut a long time ago?
This is his first solo full album though.
Congrats Mark on the album! We're looking forward to it!

NCT Jaehyun
Back around 2020-2021 NCT's Jaehyun was supposed to make his acting debut in the Kdrama Dear.M though the drama's debut got canceled due to the drama's lead actress Park Hyesoo getting into bullying accusations from her school days.
The drama was supposed to air in 2021 but never did. In 2022 the drama was released in Japan on a streaming platform but got little promotion and attention.
Park Hyesoo's legal battles from her scandals have not actually concluded yet, though she has appeared in new acting work since then.
KBS was debating whether to debut this drama since it was filmed so long ago and might be considered too dated now, but they have ultimately decided to air the show on one of their side channels KBS Joy starting April 14th on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Jackson Wang Haidilao Collab
Jackson Wang is currently collaborating with hot chain Haidilao for his birthday! The collab actually started on March 10th but i'm only finding out about it now.
The collaboration ends on April 15th and by ordering his meal set you can get exclusive Jackson Wang Photocards! The collab is running at Haidilao locations worldwide!
In reviews I have seen in the US the Jackson Wang meal set is around $130? And it's a set meal you can't swap out anything with, the only thing you can choose is 1 out of the 3 hotpot bases for the meal which is tomato, three delicacy, or plain hot water. I have also heard people say it feed about 2-3 people
I think this is such a fun collaboration! A lot of asian food chains have been branching out internationally and I wish more people would do international campaigns like this, its so fun!
Ador VS NJZ
Now is this really a news update without something on the NJZ situation?
I'm just going up bullet point some stuff just for simplicity's sake:
- Ador has expanded the injunction once again to include preventing them from releasing new music and videos and stuff. Everyone pretend to act shocked.
- Ador is also doubling down on accusing MHJ of tampering with NJZ and their contracts (and just tampering in general).
- NJZ has announced that they will be selling new merch at their festival performance at the end of the month. So far it seems to be plush keychains and a charm bracelet
- NJZ were seen attending GDragon's album release party. I believe he will also be performing at the same festival as them in HK at the end of the month?
- NJZ new song is speculated to be racecar/racing themed.
- NJZ has released a new song for a commercial for their ongoing collaboration contract with Coke. They are credited as New Jeans in the advertisements and this contract was made during their time at Ador so they are still fulfilling the contract for it cause they legally have to.

There is now apparently a second commercial which appeared yesterday on Billboard Korea yt channel I subscribe to. I see that they are listed underneath by their individual names and not newjeans/njz so possibly they are in a grey area now.

I almost feel kind of bad for all the advertisers right now. This contract was probably made a year ago before this circus happened. With everything pre-planned now they are all stuck in a rock and a hard place trying to figure out how to go forward without setting off either side.
For the QOTD: I actually despise soda. My mom never really let me drink it growing up, but even aside from that I can't stand carbonated drinks because of the bubbles. I never got into soda.
I want to try drinking those "healthy" kombucha soda's like poppi or ollipop someday though because everyone is obsessed with them and says they're good. I am intrigued.

- Sakura's ring, Chinese bars can be really crazy, they can spend so much
- NJZ x Cola, since I already talked a lot on the case I'll only do it for this collab. Like you guys said it was likely part of the contract, the deal made before the conflict. Cancelling would've probably cost too much so they took the least worst outcome I guess.
