Hello Hello

Since we can't get one day of break from all of this drama here is everything that's happened over the past few hours.
:yooheadache:

I will split this into a section with NJZ's updates and MHJ's updates.

*I am also labeling this post as sensitive content since the second half of this (the MHJ news) discusses her case with the former employee who was sexually harassed.*

NJZ News

Ador Response

Ador has given a response to NJZ's actions/announcement at Complexcon.

For some background info: It appears Ador staff did show up to the event but they weren't allowed in and NJZ refused to meet with them. This is why NJZ is still going by the name NJZ, wearing/selling all of the NJZ merch, and why they performed their new song. They still not willing to talk/discuss/work with Ador.

Here's Ador's statement:
We are very sorry that they forced a performance under a name other than New Jeans and unilaterally declared a hiatus despite the court's decision. ADOR will do its best for New Jeans in accordance with a valid exclusive contract. We hope to meet the artist and discuss the future as soon as possible.

NJZ Malicious Comments

The five members have announced that they will be taking legal action against malicious comments.

Here is a statement from their law firm:
This is Sejong Law Firm, the legal representative for

Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein. Currently, the spread of false information, malicious slander, and insulting posts against our clients, including minors, is at a serious level. Accordingly, we are constantly monitoring all online communities and social media, including Deokgu, Instiz, Blind, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, DC Inside, FM Korea (Femco), and Daum Cafe.

We are also cooperating with relevant organizations to identify the authors of posts and comments that exploit anonymity, and we plan to take all possible civil and criminal actions against acts such as the spread of false information, defamation, and insults.

When reporting malicious comments, please attach the post URL and a PDF file and submit them to the email address below.

Thank you.

Team Bunnies latest lawsuit

Team Bunnies have announced that they have hired yet another law office (they have multiple lawyers) to file charges against people who post malicious comments against NJZ as well.

I am posting a translation of this from Pannchoa cause they're the only people i've seen translate this so far.

1. On behalf of Team Bunnies, New Lawyer Law Firm is taking a strong legal response to illegal acts such as reckless personal attacks on NJZ, spreading false stories, and posting malicious rumors.

2. We are currently conducting strict verification and criminal proceedings for malicious posts identified in major online communities such as DCInside, FM Korea, TheWoo, Naver, Daum Cafe, Nate Pann, Ruliweb, and Pompu. In particular, we have filed two related cases with the police on December 13, 2024 and March 13, 2025, and the accused individuals are already under police investigation.

3. Such offenses are punishable by defamation (Article 307 of the Criminal Code and Article 70 of the Information and Communications Network Act) and business interference (Article 314 of the Criminal Code) under the Criminal Code and the Information and Communications Network Act. In particular, defamation by disseminating false facts is punishable by imprisonment for up to seven years or a fine of up to 50 million won (~34K USD).

4. New Lawyer Law Firm will continue to monitor and strongly sanction illegal behavior and hold those responsible accountable. We strongly warn you to immediately stop recklessly spreading falsehoods online and creating and disseminating malicious posts."

NJZ Objection

NJZ has officially filed an objection to the injunction.

The objection/retrial will be held in the same court as the original injunction trial with the same judge.

I can't find any statement from them about this (though they did previously say they would be doing this).

Here's the article source though.

MHJ News

MHJ formally charged

*I have two source articles for this and i'll be flip flopping between the two to report on this.*

I have previously reported, MHJ is currently in a legal battle with a former Ador staff member who got sexually harassed on the job and MHJ tried to cover it up and bully the victim into quitting and not filing legal charges.

In the latest update MHJ has refused to settle and the trial is going back to the courts. It appears the next court date for this will be May 26th?

Today the victim has gave everyone an update on the situation and it was announced that MHJ has formally been recognized/charged of committing workplace harassment by the Korea's Labor Office and she has been fined. She was found guilty of violating her duty to conduct an objective investigation and workplace harassment/verbal abuse. Usually people just get a warning so it was noted that MHJ getting a fine is considered a severe punishment.

Here is a statement from the Labor Office:
The continuous comments made by former CEO Min to B (the victim) exceeded the appropriate scope of work and may have caused physical and mental suffering to the complainant or worsened the work environment, and therefore constituted workplace bullying. We have imposed a fine on the perpetrator ( former CEO Min ) in advance and concluded the administrative case .

The second article source I am using reported this: "The Ministry of Labor evaluated this case based on several laws and regulations, and among them, it was reported that it recognized a violation of Article 76-3, Paragraph 2 of the Labor Standards Act regarding the suspicion of biased intervention in the sexual harassment case involving Vice President A, which was a key issue."

And the labor office said:
Mr. Min's act of referring to the investigation results reported to him by the CEO and advising Vice President A to file an objection via an internal email constitutes a violation of the duty to conduct an objective investigation.

This is another part from that source article I wanted to include:

"However, some of the cases that Mr. B raised against former President Min were not acknowledged. Based on the 'Act on Measures against Sexual Harassment', the Ministry of Labor considered the following: ▲ the investigation was conducted without delay on the day of the report, ▲ the claims or evidence presented by the complainant were not excluded without reasonable cause, and ▲ the complainant did not feel sexually ashamed during the sexual harassment report process, and decided that it did not constitute a violation of the law."

Did they just say that the dismissed it because the victim didn't seem ashamed enough???? :dami:

The labor office said this about the sexual harassment claims against the vice president:
No violations of the law have been confirmed, and corrective guidance has been provided to the business to prevent future workplace bullying and sexual harassment or to prevent recurrence.

The victim has also said that she has given MHJ 4 chances to apologize but MHJ refused every time and has sued the victim back in response.

It was also sadly announced that the sexual harassment/SA re-investigation has fell through. The labor office acknowledged that she was harassed, but there wasn't enough to confirm the sexual harassment.

The victim said she will continue to work hard towards the civil and criminal cases going on, and the lawsuit MHJ has begun against her.

(I also want to shout out that the civil case between the victim and MHJ is what is going on right now. Based on the information i'm assuming after this a criminal case might begin against MHJ from the victim, but i'm not 100% sure. Korean Netizens are in support of the victim and seem to want the victim to file criminal charges.)

This was my first source
I got an english translation of the source from Pannchoa
This is my second source that I found later.

MHJ Response

I haven't even seen this hit twitter yet, but as I was working on this MHJ's legal defense team has issued a statement in response to this.

Long story short she will be appealing all of this and she is saying the fine amount has not been determined yet.

Here is the statement from her legal team:
On March 18, 2025, the Seoul Western Branch of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office, in relation to Mr. B's complaint about workplace bullying against former Ador CEO Min Hee-jin, determined that some of his comments constituted workplace bullying and issued advance notice of the decision to impose a fine, and determined that some of his comments did not constitute workplace bullying and closed the administrative case.

In addition, the Ministry of Employment and Labor intervened in the internal reporting case regarding former Vice President A and gave advance notice of the decision to impose a penalty on Ador Co., Ltd. for violation of the objective investigation duty under the Labor Standards Act, and concluded the administrative conclusion by determining that the remaining violations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act for Men and Women were not applicable.

However, upon reviewing the response regarding the handling of the case, it was confirmed that the facts surrounding the remarks that were determined to be workplace bullying were incorrectly acknowledged, and that there was a misunderstanding of the legal principles of the Labor Standards Act regarding workplace bullying and the duty of objective investigation.

Accordingly, we plan to proceed with formal appeal procedures, such as promptly submitting opinions to the administrative agency, to uncover the exact truth of the case and clear the unjust accusations.

In addition, although the decision to impose a fine on former President Min and the decision to impose a fine on Ador Co., Ltd. have not been finalized, some reports are reporting it as if the decision has been finalized through administrative closure.

We therefore request that you immediately stop spreading inaccurate information and comply with the privacy protection principles. We inform you that if similar cases are repeated in the future, we will have no choice but to consider appropriate measures.

TT Update

I mentioned this in the comments on my previous post about this person but I wanted to shout it out again since I found out more info and I am dumbfounded

:jinjudge:

I'm putting this portion under spoiler.
A victim has come forward to talk about how NJZ fan "TT", the person who has met and received gifts from NJZ, has doxxed them.

The victim was another tiktoker like TT. The victim made a video about their opinions on the NJZ situation and said they would support NJZ but can't support MHJ.

TT is a very heavy supporter of MHJ. TT saw this video and got angry that this person would not support MHJ so she doxxed the victim's full name, town where she lives, her workplace, her workplace's email/phone/etc, and set up a template for other Tokki's to mass spam her workplace and get this person fired for "talking bad about MHJ". She also encouraged Tokki's to leave bad reviews about her workplace on google reviews.

It appears the victim's bosses were understanding and she wasn't fired but she said her workplace got spammed with hundreds of calls from Tokki's and she got many death threats.

I know both the victim and TT are American citizens, so I think if she wanted the victim could file harassment charges at the very least.

I originally thought TT doxxed this person on behalf of NJZ, I'm genuinely shocked that this person committed a literal crime in support of MHJ.

If the labor office says MHJ is guilty then she must be. Waiting for the civil trial and any potential criminal indictment.
When is the labor office going after current ador ceo Kim Ju-young who was the head of hybe human resources and investigated the charges and found them not credible? She should be criminally and civilly chatged as well for failure to protect an employee. She should be removed as ceo of ador also.

Do NJ really believe that their appeal will work? Lol

MHj's jail time soon hopefully!
It would be a very ironic turn of events if NJZ goes through this whole trial claiming workplace abuse/harassment and gets rejected and MHJ, the woman they’re fighting so hard for, goes to jail for workplace bullying/harassment. :uwot:

I also am kind of confused by the appeal because the next trial is literally next week Thursday. By the time they start the retrial the verdict for the next trial could be out already.

I’m 99% certain the next trial is May 26th? I forgot to save the article but it I read something last week that was like “MHJ’s trial against the former Ador employee is really soon!!!… on May 26th” and I was like that is not really soon that’s 2 months away :iwillfightyou:

As far as I am aware the current CEO will not be investigated cause the civil suit is only against MHJ and the (former?) vice president, the victim isn’t even pressing charges against the current CEO.
(my tinfoil hat theory is she’s being given a free pass since I think Hybe is helping the victim with suing MHJ or something?)

I know Ador is I believe getting a fine as well though along with having to go through training.

If the victim signed an NDA over this with the company it is not necessarily legally binding as the current ceo was potentially criminally negligent in this case. If asked in court they may well be told by the judge to break the NDA on the stand.
